Re: PS5 Favourite Astro Bot Earns 5 More Awards, Including GOTY

@PuppetMaster there is no need for extreme, I didn't expect Astro to be Ninja Gaiden level of challenge, but I didn't expect it to be interactive screensaver either. Crash 4, Mario Odyssey, even Hat in Time had better gameplay simply because they required something from the player.

Oh, and that argument about kids again. In my childhood days it were the kids and only them who played (and beat) Battletoads, Mega Man, Contra and Ninja Gaiden.

Slow? For me it was very busy gaming week, juggling Atelier Yumia (biggest Atelier game), AI Limit (surprisingly enjoyable giving my soulslike fatigue) and Afterimage.

Seriously, play Afterimage. It's the largest Metroidvania in existence, beautiful, fully voiced and dirt-cheap right now. Go play it right now. On hard difficulty and with Chinese voices. You'll thank me later.

That's it for this week, stay safe, love each other and have a happy weekend.

Atelier Yumia. On one hand, it clearly has the best gameplay and production value in the series. On the other hand, I really miss old Atelier games where there was no conflict, no villains, everyone loved and supported each other, frilly dresses and yuri vibes all around. Bur in the interview director clearly stated that the fanbase of the old games is too small so they can go fork themselves. Too bad. At least Yumia is a great protagonist, easily the best after the twins.
Also all the discourse about AC Shadows made me want to return to Valhalla, but probably I'll nab at it little by little until summer. I'm not in a hurry, Shadows will probably drop to the price of a cup of coffee by then.
That's all for now, have a nice weekend.

@IOI I've only played 2, 3, San Andreas and 5. First two had no story and the other were so full of "yo gangsta" stuff that I'm surprised that people over the age of 14 enjoyed it. I can understand liking the sandbox stuff, but still perplexed that the release of GTA VI is treated like a world shattering event.
