Unlike great many of you, I'm still into holiday shopping and preparations. You see, here in Russia we have the same thing: decorated tree, presents, sparkling wine, drunk uncle under the table, but it all happens on New Year's night. So... yeah, besides preparing for that and ice skating, I didn't had lots of gaming time. I finished platinum in Diablo IV (had to kill my friend five times for that), some levels in Captain Toad Treasure Tracker and that was pretty much it.

That sounds good on paper, but only if you haven't bought any of them, and played each other. Not to mention those games usually were heavily discounted even without psplus.

I haven't played Death Stranding 2, but I never liked a single Kojima game and I doubt it will be an exception. But it's always nice to see Trails getting some love.

Yeah, it shows you don't know. Right now open world anime gachas on PS5 are Genshin Impact, Wuthering Waves and Infinity Nikki. Neither of which was released this year.

@8bit4Life you can absolutely tackle endgame by playing solo. Main strory quest is like 10% of the game.

There are great many games coming out in 2026, even without western games in general and Marvel in particular.

I bought and tried Metroid Prime 4. I played for about five hours and downloaded Prime remaster. Seriously, classical "You and the guy she tells you not to worry about" situation. Where has all the talent gone?

Other than that, I'm having a blast with Wuchang Fallen Feathers. This game has talent in spades. Seriously, I'm amazed how a debut game from a new developer nailed the soulslike combat, it feels better than the actual Souls games. Very excited to see future projects from these guys.

I hope it will be much better than Black Myth Wukong cause I didn't like Wukong at all. Wuchang, on the other hand, is excellent.

This week I identify as a game boy. No, really, it only took eight years for Nintendo to add control mapping to game boy games on Switch so they are finally playable for me. So I've completed two Mario Land games. And while the first one is simple little game only good as a piece of history, the second one is actually great! Level design is superb and the variety of stages, enemies and bosses is off the charts. I've really enjoyed that game more than any so-called "new" Mario Bros.

I also started Metroid Prime... Hunters. No, really, I already bought Prime 4, but decided to finish the only Metroid game I didn't finish before starting it. I tried it on DS when it came out and found it awful. Now thanks to melonprime it's playable at least. Doubt I'll get much enjoyment out of it, but I need to close gestalt.

Really depends on the price. I remember playing it on PS1 and liking it, but never finished.

Those are not bad games per se, they are just not the games that I want to play. I might try Killing Floor 3 since it has crossplay so I could play with my friends on PC, but that's it.

If you have psplus extra and half an hour or spare time, play Forspoken. Just to be astonished how such a game made it to the release. But keep a bucket nearby, just in case.

I won't say that X is the best FF game there is, but I'll certainly say that it's the last great single-player FF game.

Does anyone know if Killing Floor 3 has a crossplay with PC?

Great system, best controller ever, pairing with steam deck works wonderfully, exclusives are boring beyond belief. Moving to California was biggest mistake. Luckily it's not my only system and and I don't have a shortage of great games to play.

Imagine if a remake would have AC battle system and automatic platforming like everything else today. A game would be ruined, but I won't be surprised.

Say that you prefer Nathan Drake to walking wardrobes from Gears of War and everything's fine. Say that you prefer pretty women from eastern games to ugly women from western games and suddenly you are -ist, -er and -phobe.
