Ghost of Yotei did indeed show up at the latest State of Play — but we didn't get to see much of the upcoming PS5 exclusive.

Yep, this was a classic bait and switch, with the above trailer dropping a tease for another State of Play which will give us a Ghost of Yotei gameplay deep dive. It's happening at some point next month.

We knew this was coming, though. Sony almost always gives its major titles their own showcase ahead of release, and Ghost of Yotei is still on track for its 2nd October launch.

This broadcast should be one to look forward to, since we're yet to really see the game in action. All we know is that main character Atsu will be able to wield multiple different weapons, and that developer Sucker Punch has hinted towards more in-depth combat and stealth mechanics.
