Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for May 2025?

Damn, Sand Land and Soul Hackers are two I had my eyes on for a while. Great month just for those two (and I do legitimately not care about any of the rest)

Edit: I also missed A Wonderful Life in the list. Make that three games I was interested in.

Sony have made an absolute mess off premium since the day it was launched.
Should be the tier everyone wants to have!!!

Two games I like. A PSVR2 game and a life simulator. Can’t be unhappy with that. But with the all the great games leavings it’s a net bad month.

Literally just waiting for PS2 Ratchets, God of Wars, ICO, and native PS3 releases.

Any month without any of those is a disappointment for me.

There are so many great niche PS2 games that could be added to Premium and would just it's value, but Sony just won't do it

It's awful as it is every month never really changes adds old games mostly well gamepass just keeps getting day one releases constantly so essential is what I've got and gamepass

Only game I was genuinely interested in was humankind and then I learned it's a broken glitchy mess with an unobtainable platinum and the devs have totally abandoned it so that's a swerve. Sick of sony adding games that are broken and have been abandoned, if you're paying money to bring a game to your service you should make it a requirement that they actually work.

You should have made another poll with the list of titles added to PS Premium 😆

Tbf it's actually not that bad if a month especially if you haven't bought any of them. Sand Land and Soul Hackers are decent JRPG's, Granblue Fantasy Verusyis a solid 2D fighter, Humankind is a great puzzle game, Stalker Trilogy looks decent and is quite a recent release, Five Nights at Freddy's is quite a popular game among the younger audience and Story of Seasons is a relaxing chill game and of Battlefield V for those that want shooters. It's definitely a mix bag genres which is the right direction to go.

Personally it's just Story of Seasons and Stalker trilogy for me, I've pretty much already played the rest. Premium as usual is a joke for its game additions, if not for the Portal I wouldn't be subscribed to that tier. Hopefully Sony remove the premium tier requirement for the cloud streaming but I doubt it.

Very happy with Sandland. That’s about it.
Still waiting for Premium to add things like Ape Escape 2 and 3, the ps2 R&C games and ICO.

To be fair, Soul Hackers 2 and GBF Versus Rising are very nice games. That's why I already own them and this month got nothing for me.

Downgrading to essential when my premium sub expires on the 24th. Too dang pricy and the demos that were a major selling point aren’t even launching day and date, usually months after release. So I’ll happily stick with the cheapest tier, as the rest has been very mucky.

I don’t want to say this as they’re adding half as many as they took away, but it’s a great month for me on PS+ Extra, I’d happily play every game they’re releasing, bar STALKER which I own.

Sandlands is the big one for me, but pretty much all the others are ones that have peaked my interest but haven’t dropped low enough in sales when I’ve had money

No doesn't bother me about the games anymore I only sub to the lowest tier for the price cuts but I've cancelled it for now

Premium hasn't lived up at all to what I thought it would especially regarding the classic titles that I thought we'd get. Thought I'd get more time with the PSVR2 games so their removal is particularly disappointing for me😕

Am I happy with this month's games, uh what are they again cause I've not looked at anything at all, not even this post info but the headlines only lol.

That's basically how much I now care less for the "amazing" free games were supposedly are getting for 🤑 a month.

It might be the worst month so far.
I might give gloomhaven a quick spin but other than that I'm not interested in anything.

I hope they're building up to putting something colossal on there because it's been an awful few months so far this year.

I had premium for a while , but just ended n up buying a couple of those old games I’m interested in for nostalgia (Toy Story 2 ) as they are cheap anyway. It’s really not worth it in my opinion. Gamepass is much better . Claire 33 and doom are great additions and with Tony hawks 3-4 coming up, it’s much better for me . No point have two subscriptions if one is way more superior. Just an opinion. I know this is a Sony fan site , but as it stands , their service offerings are far inferior to that of Microsoft .

@darkswabber you can purchase ape escape 2 and it’s relatively cheap.

@Dr-zoidburg even when they offer no new games, the fact that it lets you stream games is a pretty big deal for some people, including myself, especially for psportal. The existing catalogue has more games I could ever play.

@naruball I too have a portal and streaming premium games is a gamechanger on that device.
However I still can't defend sony for 4 years of a pretty much half baked effort to release games considered this was their answer to backwards capabilities.
I never get my hopes up what's releasing on premium! And I think that speaks volumes.

I'm really happy. Gran Blue Rising seemed to never go on sale so I finally can play it. I thought there was some nice variety too, although I already own Soul Hackers 2.

I really enjoyed soul hackers 2 and I keep coming back to gbvsr regularly.
With the new season, never been a better time to try this awesome fighting game.

Sand land kind of has my interest.
Stalker not so much.

@Jayslow I liked it too, but even better would have been asking which premium game we were most looking forward to playing.

@RoomWithaMoose They’re pretty much all included as PS3 streaming versions. The PS2 HD ports of most games were pretty buggy though, introduced issues and so forth so I’d rather get emulated versions of the originals.

After gamepass getting Expedition 33 and Doom this looks bad

I wouldn't say it's awful, but I am seriously reconsidering my subscription. The value just isn't there like it used to be.

Sand Land looks cool, but I don't know, I'd almost rather just buy it ala carte at some point than worry about playing it while it's on the service. And Premium has had more bad months than it's had good months. Once again, PS Plus Essential reigns supreme
