Loved the game but had my dose of it earlier this year. Really not up for a second playthrough yet. If I some point I decide to revisit I might get the upgrade
@strawhatcrew problem is, if you are in the third scenario you are screwed either way. You'll either have to wait to play until you get a PS5', or if you buy right away then you'll be stuck with an inferior version. Why is it so hard to comprehend for you? It's a sleazy move, forming people on your third scenario to buy a special edition they might have no interest on.
Finished without all the new gimmicks. Seems like all these new gadgets are just removing all the challenge in the game and making it more flashy. Not interested in revisiting it.
@Roqka I agree. Ubisofts cross-save implementation is great. I loved playing immortals on my Series X and the picking up on the go or from bed on my Switch. Great feature!
@ATaco or maybe you just read PlayStation sites so that’s when he’ll be frequently featured. He gets his fair bit of attention regardless of what he’s talking about
@helloim_anthony just because I can spend it doesn’t mean that I should. Even Bethesda gave a damn next gen upgrade for DOOM Eternal for free (while it continues to charge separately for the DLC). Would it really kill Sony to give it for free while charging for DLC? They look petty trying to nickel and dime their customers.
Sony Sony - there are tons of positive things you could learn from Nintendo. How to milk your loyal customers dry is not one of them. Make the upgrade free and only charge 20 for the DLC. Until then - NO BUY FROM ME
Wow. As much as I loved the base game. I'm not supporting these practices. 20 for DLC is Ok, but another 10 on top of that to upgrade? Yeah, thanks but no thanks Sony. See you when it is less than 15....if I'm still interested on this game by then.
Bethesda is as Strategic as any acquisition can get, and their games can be real console sellers.....Would hardly consider it "random"by any standards, but rather a well thought-out strategic move
Nice job securing Housemarque, but is not in the same Ballpark, hell, not even in the same planet as Bethesda
Not much grabbing me from that list to be honest. Most of the great games in there I had played on previous gen. Ratchet & Clank looks pretty, but also owning a Switch, gameplay-wise I don't think it challenges the big N's offering (they're really the kings of platformers).
I'm not in Roguelike games (altough I did try Hades on Switch and enjoyed it a bit, dropped it quite quickly) so paying 70 for a game I would quickly abandon is not something I'm looking to do.
Resident Evil Village looks great, enjoyed the 2 demos, so I might get that one a bit later.
I don’t enjoy the gameplay at all to be honest. Tried to like it but at the end I was forcing myself to go through it which is not the purpose of game, so I just dropped it.
R&C a bit later down the road. FFVII I’m thankful that PS Plus help me confirm this isn’t my kind of game, otherwise I could have bought the PS5 version to try it out and get to the same conclusion.
@lacerz true but other than Miles Morales (which itself is an “expansion” of a bigger game), is any of those a big AAA game? Demon Souls comes closer, but like all Souls game it’s niche. Same with Returnal - actually it’s bold they are selling a Roguelike game for AAA price - most people who bought it will just get frustrated quick soon and move on.
@SZRT_CIC_Ice as for exclusives. Microsoft’s are the most accesible. You don’t even have to own the console you can just pay a couple of months of Gamepass and play on PC or Xcloud. For Last of Us 2, or Ghost of Tsushima, I can only play on my PS console.
They are very accesible but I don’t see why they would put it on a competing platform as well
@Hypnotoad107 that’s why I got all 3 latest boxes. Can get any game no matter where it comes. Xbox is my preferred for multiplataforms and Gamepass but have my PS5 & Switch for their respective exclusives. All have their place for me and enjoy them all.
It’s awesome to leave console wars behind and just get whatever that catches my attention.
I own both consoles. I’d hardly say Sony is really having hit after hit. If anything, the first mass appeal hit they’re launching since Spider-Man Miles Morales is Rarchet & Clank. Demon Souls & Returnal are niche at best, which got a lot of exposure because there’s not much else.
While the games looks great and the gun play seems week done, I am not keen on investing full price on a game so frustrating that I will probably drop in a few days. Unfortunately these are not my cup of tea, not really into the rogue like concept.
@dskatter I did have a crash with both Spider-Man games. Rest mode with the games suspended would kill the system when trying to get back out. Also sometimes in many games the screen went black with audio out for a few seconds, but that seems to be fixed now
@TheFrenchiestFry Lego is it’s whole different thing. Kinda like Smash Bros or now Fortnite, they try to license every singular character. Just because Ryu and Ken are in Smash Doesn’t mean that Nintendo is developing a new Street Fighter game.
And this is based on what, an ambiguous response from Ed? He is like the biggest troll in gaming.
I got my refund. Proud to be one of those. Will not take games in this state. Maybe some time I’ll try it again, but not until it has a PS5 or XSX native version and more importantly, it actually works as it’s supposed to
For me Tsushima is the best of the 3. Had a lot of fun with that game. But obviously the Spider-Man IP will sell. Literally it baffles me how Square Enix could screw so badly with the Avengers IP
Funny, I really had no major problems with it on my Xbox Series X other than screen tearing which was fixed early on. I played Cyberpunk 2077 next and that made Valhalla look perfect in comparison.
I never played the original (I only had a N64 back then). I just tried the remake after finishing Death Stranding this week. Liked the intro, I think the cutscene does a great job grabbing your attention. But as I progressed I realized it wasn't clicking with me. Don't like the fighting system with the menu for commands and switching characters, and got very annoyed with it by the first boss. Still, I escaped and made it to the sewers, but I doubt I'll be getting back to it any time soon. Just not my type of game.
@UltimateOtaku91 The mandate from the league was that the game needed to be released as a multiplatform. I doubt that the MLB had any say on it being released on Gamepass, that is more likely a deal that MS and Sony worked out (maybe MS will give something Bethesda related in exchange? who knows). It might also be an experiment Sony is doing to see how much they could make following this model if they decide to implement it in their own platforms un the future.
@Stocksy for starters you need to have both versions installed. Some users might find it confusing and might get rid of one or stuff. Not a big deal for me personally but I can see why some people could find it frustrating. Owning also a XSX, in there the next gen version is just handled like just another update. It just updates and you are ready to go....big difference
Loved the base game. Completed it in nightmare. It was challenging but fair. Respected the base mechanics.
The DLC however, felt like a fan made level just throwing in all possible monsters in for the sake of doing so. Very frustrating to play, I just dropped it
Cool, been on the fence about FFVII remake - glad I waited. Would have liked to have the PS5 upgrade, but I'll gladly take this PS4 version for "free" over the 70 USD version! - even if it isn't as shiny as the upcoming one!
Funny that back in the day, DOOM 64 looked obsolete next to Turok, but now I feel DOOM 64 aged much better. Really enjoyed played it in my switch last year.
@GREGORIAN i think the combat issues I have are not really related to tech advancement. Just the way the combat is designed feels clunky to me. Immortals came 3.5 years after BOTW, in much powerful systems, yet BOTW is the better game in almost every aspect
Hope they improve on the combat - the actual scanning of the machines to find weak points and vulnerabilities is cool, but I am playing this for the first time on my PS5 and find controls very clunky, especially after Ghost of Tsushima which is smooth as butter.
Loved the first two games in the reboot Trilogy. Rise was probably my favorite. Unfortunately Crystal Dynamics went to work on Avengers and that ended up hurting the series (and Avengers was a mess). Hope they get back on track with their next game.

Re: Best PS4 Metroidvania Games
Surprised that Bloodstained. Ritual of the Night isnt here. I would rank it above many on this list

Re: Take-Two Has a Trio of Unannounced Ports or Remasters in the Pipeline
Red Dead full collection next gen edition. I’d double dip happily if the include the first game on an enhanced version of the 2nd game’s engine
Re: Konami Admits PES Successor eFootball Will Effectively Be a Demo at Launch
Ouch….this is smelling like a catastrophic failure. I despise F2P model, but seems that this is not even able to do that right.
Re: Upcoming PS5, PS4 Games for August and September 2021
Nothing from me. Deathloop seems like another rogue-like and I’m not paying for 10 for PS5 upgrade for GoT + 20 for DLC

Looking forward to it. But hope the original game can be updated to this version instead of requiring a full purchase. Doubtful, but who knows.
Re: Babylon's Fall Gets Smashed with Dislikes Upon Its Gameplay Return
Live service co- op did turn me off as well, tbh. I’m just not into that kind of game and prefer my single player action RPG

Re: All Signs Point to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on PS Now
Awesome, not like it is constantly discounted to like 10 in most platforms except Switch
Re: More Outriders Content Planned, 'Poised' to Be Square Enix's Next Big IP
I haven’t even been bothered to download on Gamepass. Seems too bland - just doesn’t seem compelling.

Death stranding at that price is a total steal. I really enjoyed that game and would encourage everyone to try at this price.

Yeah. WB’s Netherrealm is making a Marvel game. Guess Capcom will be making Injustice 3.
Hell maybe even Naughty Dog will make Halo 7. This rumor makes no sense. Just as the above.
