Cool, been on the fence about FFVII remake - glad I waited. Would have liked to have the PS5 upgrade, but I'll gladly take this PS4 version for "free" over the 70 USD version! - even if it isn't as shiny as the upcoming one!
Funny that back in the day, DOOM 64 looked obsolete next to Turok, but now I feel DOOM 64 aged much better. Really enjoyed played it in my switch last year.
@GREGORIAN i think the combat issues I have are not really related to tech advancement. Just the way the combat is designed feels clunky to me. Immortals came 3.5 years after BOTW, in much powerful systems, yet BOTW is the better game in almost every aspect
Hope they improve on the combat - the actual scanning of the machines to find weak points and vulnerabilities is cool, but I am playing this for the first time on my PS5 and find controls very clunky, especially after Ghost of Tsushima which is smooth as butter.
Loved the first two games in the reboot Trilogy. Rise was probably my favorite. Unfortunately Crystal Dynamics went to work on Avengers and that ended up hurting the series (and Avengers was a mess). Hope they get back on track with their next game.
Pleased to see all the positive reception here for this game. I bought it with discount for my Xbox series X but afterwards I bought a PS5 and have been diving into the PS4 exclusives I missed (currently HZD). Need to make time for this game!
I’m good personally. I had an Xbox for the past generation. Recently I bought a PS5 to go along my Series X, so I have all the PS exclusives to go through. Recently I completed Spider-Man Remastered, and close to completing Ghost of Tsushima. Next I’ll have either God of War or Horizon Zero Dawn, and still have Uncharted 4, last of Us parts 1 and 2, etc. So have a lot of great games waiting if this happens
I agree entirely with this. I am a new PlayStation user. I upgraded first my Xbox one X to a Series X, and finally pulled the trigger on a PS5 back in December.
Main reason for me was that I can play the PS exclusives I missed from the PS4 era. I wouldn’t have gotten either console if they were not backwards compatible at this point to be honest, but with that feature, there is no reason to hold the upgrade. Loading times alone really make a difference while playing the older games.
Having both Series X and a PS5, despite Sony’s innovations regarding feedback, the Xbox controller is my preferred one, which I would use for all my consoles if supported natively. While MS didn’t add anything revolutionary, in my mind it just has the right positioning of the stick, d-pad, buttons, correct weight, etc
@TheArt series x is doing quite fine as well. Depending on when you live you could see the other way. Both consoles are selling as much as they can make.
@lcipri you know, even if they push out another kombat pack down the line you don’t have to buy it. Why wouldn’t you want to have more options if you like the game. Even release version base code gets update to ultimate and only difference is if you have bought the characters or not.
