@Balaam_ if you’re talking about the green screen if death, that was indeed a defect. It happened to me all the time, eventually Sony replaced my console and never had the problem again.

Rest mode always. Same with my Xbox. In case I want a remote session and I like them always read and for the most part not be bothered by updates.

Very curious about the adaptation and the non gamer public reaction if they stick to the original’s story and timeline. Shall be interesting for sure.

Does it synch with the mobile version? Frankly is a game I would play a lot more using my iPhone (and is included with Apple Arcade) but would be nice if it synchs between platforms.

Going through Indiana Jones in my Xbox, Zero Dawn Remaster in my PS5 Pro. I’m enjoying Zero Dawn much more than on my first play through several years ago. Indiana Jones is every bit as good as they say.after I’m done with Dr. Jones I plan to start S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2

I never finished Last of Us Part 2. Did Part 1 when the remake was released roughly 2 years ago. I started 2 but didn't go far for some reason I don't remember (it was the PS4 version at that time).
This worked out perfectly well, as not only the PS5 remaster was launched, but I got an improved console and a LG C3 OLED since then. Now I can enjoy Part 2 with VRR with higher image quality.

I'm playing Veilguard and having fun with it. It's a fun action game.... Those forced ideology quests are really bad, though. They just seem like a joke, can't beleive they though anyone would take that crap seriously. (for real, I can't believe they really scold people for not recognizing "they/them" as a singular pronoun). Fortunately, it's only a few of them and mostly optional.

Got mine early in Mexico! Just finished installed Veilguard but so far looks like the update isn't live. Performance and Fidelity modes remain the same so will have to try something else.

By the way, I thought the plastic legs for horizontal mode were missing, but somehow they got in the outer box of the bottom of the box. Look for them there if you can't find them!

@wildcat_kickz For me it was the opposite. Didn't have much interest in Veilguard until recently. Hope it's a fun game to sink a few hours!

I hope at least they get to continue to use his likeness. Won't be the same, but it would be weird if Sylens suddenly looked entirely different.

How is 61.7 vs 28.3 3 to 1? Wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the case in the last few months due to Xbox practically saying the couldn’t care less about their hardware and want to bring games to the most platforms. But those numbers in the graphs don’t tell that story.

After the success and critical acclaim of the film, this will be the highest selling entry of the franchise so far....yeah, right!

@IamJT For sure, on of the few games that I was genuinely sad for it to be over. Almost consider jumping right a game on new game + but guess I'd need to let it rest for a bit to fully enjoy it! Fired up Control instead which I haven't played since release in 2019.

@lacerz explain how did Microsoft have an outage? All the news outlets that claim that are completely ignorant. Crowdstrike’s Falcon update messed up and corrupted Windows installations And the same has happened with Linux and other OS’s in the past…

Back to the guy does seem genuinely frustrated. Corporate budget allocation is so stupid sometimes. How can they spend billions on acquisitions, but not assign budget to do proper marketing. Not surprised though, working in corporate myself, I have seen some crazy budget prioritization.

Not really. The games are great but generally I do not like the concept of third party exclusives, for me it is just genuinely throwing money at a publisher to keep them off competing platforms. Ultimately worse for gamers. Seems like a petty move to me looking to justify their lack of first party content.

@OldGamer999 Nothing that appeals you is very different from "lowest year of gaming". Between Dragon's Dogma 2 and Final Fantasy VII rebirth alone I don't have time for anything else and I'm no close to finishing either. And there's been a lot of other great releases like DennisReynolds just mentioned.

Interesting. Back then Mortal Kombat X was seen as the fighter full of content while Street Figther 5 was a barebones release. Seems this has switched now with MK1 and SF6

I'm happy that more people get to play games, the only concern I have is about Xbox exiting console market eventually or at least becoming less relevant in this space. Wouldn't want Sony to go unchallenged.

Owning both platforms (and a Switch), I think this could be interesting. I see Microsoft publishing their games in Game Pass on day one, while making them available in competing platforms for full price, months after Game Pass launch. If the games are good, it will drive revenue while still provide an incentive to buy their platform. The only thing I hope (and I think it will be the case) is that Microsoft remains competitive in the console market. It would never be good to have only one player in the high-end console space, and definitely wouldn't want to see Sony run unchallenged, would be worse for all of us.

It actually makes sense for me. Keep it on gamepass in their platform. Release later at full price in the other. Their subscribers still get it included in the platform and in day 1 while others pay full price

Ridiculous that they lock trials before a paywall. Trials should exist for every game without any need for subscription.

@Balie3000 I did this coming the other way around. Last gen I had an Xbox One. In 2020 I got a Series X but also procured a PS5. Best choice ever. I got to play all the PS4 exclusives I missed (and probably have a few left still), have enjoyed the new games, and frankly I don't care which game is exclusive to whom, I know I can play it (also own a Switch). Xbox continues to be my multi-platform gaming console of choice, but those Sony exclusives are great indeed.

Don’t really understand this “ Star Wars Outlaws aims to tell a tighter narrative tale, which sounds like a refreshing change from Remedy's more open and, at times, meandering Star Wars Jedi games” the Jedi games, made by Respawn, not Remedy, are quite linear with a tight story. Not sure what was the point of that sentence. Seems like the writer never played the “Remedy” games.

1 year? Seems like they don't have much faith in their product. I mean, look at Sea of Thieves. While I don't think it was very well received at launch, I think by now, 6 years after launch, it has gathered a strong following and it continues to have new content.

Actually, I am going through it for the first time. It never clicked with me after trying it two times, but tried it again after completing the FF16 DLC and it finally clicked! Starting Chapter 15, so I guess not long to go now. Should be ready for Rebirth just in time!

I got access to the Alpha test. Got bored and got back to Spider-Man 2, which I was playing at the time. Agree with the comment above, it was quite a generic looter shooter.

I really enjoyed FF16 soundtrack. Not sure how I’d rank it against the older games as those are classics. But I played Diablo 4, Jedi Survivor and Spiderman 2. I think FFXVI’s music was far better and memorable than anything in those 3.

Given that Final Fantasy XVI is nowhere to be found in the category below, I seriously question these awards objectivity.... I can't remember a single tune from Spider-man 2 (except maybe a bass beat), then I can have several from FF......
