@render exactly this. Once I saw those views mentioned I just scrolled to the the end of the review. However you feel about that, it has no place in a game review.
Love the people offended. Yet everyone celebrates that Harry Potter game is getting exclusive content on PS5, despite costing the same as the Xbox version....
Love having them all and can benefit for whichever they put out. ***** practices? Yes, but let's admit it, this is something that Sony does far more often that Microsoft (Hogwarts, Call of Duty, Spider-man in The Avengers, etc)
Awesome start...looking to really be the best video game adaptation ever. Opening scene was as close to the videogame as it could have, despite been set in a different year. Too bad I can't enjoy fully knowing the plot, but definitely interesting to see where it is going and contrast with the game. Found it hard to believe that the Mandalorian guy is Joel tough, after spending so many hours with the other one
@dancingmind love it too, I’m actually replaying it and today I reached the Kaer Morhen fight. But there’s no denying the combat and gameplay is very outdated.
The Witcher 3 shouldn't have been at 94 in 2022. It is a great game and really sucks you in, but it seems most people give a pass to the clunky combat system and controls. While it might have been acceptable in 2015, in 2022 it really sticks out as a sore thumb and was painful to adjust to it after playing Ragnarok
@EaglyTheKawaiiShika That's spot on, regardless of which one I think was better, I enjoyed them both this year, and also enjoyed other like HFW, and Plaque's Tale.
Horizon Forbidden West at 2nd? No way, sorry. Can you tell the bias towards the exclusives in this site?
Frankly I'm not even sure I'll return to Forbidden West once the DLC is released. Enjoyed it a bit, completed the Story and a fair share of the side quests, but I think I got my fill of it, not really looking to come back any time soon.
After playing God of War Ragnarok and Elden Ring, gosh this is painful to play. The combat system is absolutely the worst. Even AC: Odyssey and Valhalla have much better gameplay and combat like this.
The story is top notch, as well as the writing and everything. But definitely this game shouldn't be rate so highly with this combat system.
@arra1213 And why would that affect Playstation sales? Sorry not following your logic.
Users like myself that have both consoles sure, I wouldn't buy it on PS, but we're a minority. If it wasn't on Gamepass, it would still have gone under the radar on PS.
I just finished it Ragnarok, it was fun but definitely doesn’t compare to Elden Ring for me. I just couldn’t put that one down for a couple of months. In Ragnarok’s case I felt I was powering through at times.
@arra1213 considering how much it went under the radar, they made the right business choice. At least they should be getting substantial checks from Microsoft.
Havo no sympathy for Sony on this one. They keep crying about this, while they also keep throwing money at publishers to keep third party games like Silent Hill or Final Fantasy exclusive. You can't have your cake and eat it.
What an awesome trailer..........and then nothing new is coming....yikes.
Come on at the very least update the classic collection to include an arcade perfect equivalent of MK Trilogy (despite it never having been released in the arcades) and MK4 at the very least, making it playable in current platform.
@Somebody this is just the start, an announcement of a game that is the better part of a decade away. They have announced a mainline Witcher game, they should have committed to delivering that instead of just committing to so much stuff.
CDPR never learns - keep overhyping games that are over a decade away, that will need be unable to live to the hype. Seems they didn't learn anything from 2020.
I'll take it. Finally went through the campaign this past March after the next gen upgrade was released and really enjoyed it. Will look forward to play this expansion.
@Doublecell Sony’s strategy around this is well documented. Even the Bethesda deal for Deathloop and Ghostwire Tokyo might have compelled Microsoft to look at things differently.
@Mylo Microsoft’s acquisition spree was a direct response to Sony’s practices, as it was reported that Sony was reaching out to pretty much everyone to buy exclusivity rights. So Microsoft countered used one of their biggest competitive advantages - their pockets.
I fully agree it was a struggle. I was too deep in when I realized "why the heck I am still pushing through this?" The whole plot, stupid. The protagonist that kept making idiotic decisions one after another. The villain Evelyn who I don't know who told the actress that she could act. Jeez all around terrible.
I'll be cancelling Netflix soon. Better Call Saul (which streamed through Netflix in my country) was the only reason I was still paying, but otherwise I have no reason to maintain.
@Grumblevolcano Had forgotten Splatoon 3 and Bayonetta 3, neither are my cup of tea but those are big releases sure enough. Still Bayonetta 3 is an entirely different demo as well, and Splatoon comes out in September.
@PegasusActual93 the game does look underwhelming, true. But don’t underestimate the power of the Sonic brand, with the movies and everything. It is very strong now. And Xbox and Nintendo users don’t have much coming between now and end of the year
@eltomo the old games didn’t have guest characters beyond the franchise and they have the right to them. They were all produced by Midway, all that IP Is owned by Warner Bros when they acquired them and turned them into Netherrealm studios. The home ports are probably more challenging as they were published by Acclaim which no longer exists, but the Arcade versions were superior anyway
@Ambassador_Kong One thing that you need to take into account is that latency is the most important factor when streaming. Even if you have high latency, you'll be able to stream fine your Netflix shows as the device has the ability to buffer the data to make for any drops or make for it, and it will only take a little bit long to start streaming
For gaming it is entirely different - high latency makes it pretty much unusable, from input lag, artifacts, etc. Gaming streaming is much more picky than on demand video.
I have my reservations about this. I don’t think this developer is known for releases anywhere close to this scale. Hell, I only remember from Mortal Kombat ports in the 90’s

@XinGViruS Agree, it was the same for me. Really helped me to catch up with many great exclusives I had missed in the past generation
Re: Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Delayed to 28th April
@kungfumongoose this is Star Wars though. If anything, I think this one will sell more than RE4

60 fps, I value that over resolution or RT!

Everything I’m looking forward to the most to play this year:
1. Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
2. Starfield
3. Jedi: Survivor
4. Spider-man 2
5. FFXVI
Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Essential Games for January 2023?
Already have Fallen Order and don't care for the others.
Re: Look Out! Silent Hill: The Short Message Rated for Release on PS5
Maybe something like “Ground Zeroes” ahead of the main course?

Loved the first one. This is a day one purchase for me unless something terrible is revealed about it.
Re: All The Game Awards 2022 Winners
Love that Elden Ring won. I had much more fun with it than any other this year - only game I couldn’t put the controller down once I grabbed it.

@KaijuKaiser It runs perfectly well now. PS6 is at least 3-4 years away, who's to say it will get any kind of update for it.
Re: God of War Ragnarok Equals Ridiculously High Review Rating of Its Predecessor
@4kgk2 or that Elden Ring had a bigger and more positive impact with reviewers.

Oh gosh Now in typical Sony fashion - “Moonveil now exclusive to PS6 in Elden Ring 2”
Re: Aloy Confirmed for Horizon Netflix Show, Helmed By Umbrella Academy Showrunner
I expect it to be about the same quality as the Resident Evil series, and to last just as much.
Not trust in Netflix at all to handle a series like this.

Re: Tencent Poised to Take Major Stake in French Publisher Ubisoft

Yikes......co-op Tomb Raider. Crystal Dynamics are you now trying to take the "success" of your Avengers game to Tomb Raider?
Re: Mortal Kombat News Ruled Out for Sony's Evo 2022 Event
