@4kgk2 Pretty much revitalize the brand, saving it after almost dying with the Xbox One launch, bring a new business model, and his investments on studios will pay off in a few year. And his more costumer friendly policies are great in an industry that's all about monetization.

@AdamNovice Lol that's ridiculous. I avoid Free 2 Play like the plague so I won't be getting anywhere close to this one. Too bad because it looks like it is a very well done game otherwise.

@The_Pixel_King It's a beautiful game with amazing music and everything. I would play it where you can get the best audio visual experience vs portability. It is not the kind of game I would play on the go anyway.

I turned it off after two hours and frankly haven't felt any itch to come back.

The cat is extremely well, but past that the core gameplay is very boring - it felt like a chore.

@Flaming_Kaiser I recently added to my library since I got PS+ Extra, but I got sidetracked with Returnal and recently I picked up Elden Ring on Xbox Series X again - Demon's Souls will be next once I'm done with that one.

@sword_9mm The tone of your post makes you sound much more stressed than I’ve ever been. I was just responding to the guy that compared it to Skyrim and GTA V and explaining why I think it’s a way different scenario.

Since you mentioned it, I didn’t buy Demon’s Souls and Nintendo gets the same amount of criticism for selling old games at full price (however the Mario 3D All Stars collection consisted in 3 games at the full price). I have been guilty of buying all the Mario remasters, but primarily because I never had a Nintendo system since my Nintendo 64 until the Switch, so Sunshine, Galaxy and 3D World were all new games for me and I’ll always have a soft spot for Mario.

@Lovespuds Skyrim was a free upgrade - only there was a paid DLC which was not mandatory to get the PS5 upgrade. GTA V launched for a fraction of the price (I think it was 10 at launch), not 70 as Sony is asking.

I think the "vitriol" comes mostly from it being priced at the same price as a new game, with no upgrade path or discounted pricing for what is a 9 year old game.

@Shepherd_Tallon your comparison doesn’t hold. Skyrim upgrade was free and only if you wanted certain items you had to pay 10. Even GTAV was priced much better.

I know that these games sometimes get a bad rep, but I really enjoyed Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla, and went through the DLC (I do not go through every question mark in the map, tough). I did play Valhalla at launch on my Series X (there wasn't much else there) and didn't have much issues, other than the annoying screen tearing.

Hope Rift or whatever the next game is called turn out to be a good game.

@PlayStationGamer3919 yeah they hurt when the game under delivers compared to what was promised, but help the customer. How useful would leaks have been back in November 2020 if we could have gotten the real state Cyberpunk 2077 was in? It would have sucked for CDPR who avoided showing the console versions at all cost but it would have great for us customer who would have gotten the chance to cancel preorders

@colt3211 and that’s exactly why they keep pulling ***** like this off. Blind fans just buying whatever they put out, even if objectively it is the same game with a graphical facelift at the price of a whole new game.

70 for a remaster of a remaster of a 2013 game is ridiculous.

Not sure why the need to now adapt video games to TV Shows. Just like Halo, they will all suck.

What’s so hard to comprehend? Unlike the monthly plus games, here the library is provided as a subscription. Content will be added and taken out over time depending on the agreement with the different publishers. If something is taken out, you cannot access it anymore unless you buy it or Sony brings it back at a future date. No different than GamePass, or even Netflix or Spotify!

I caved in and payed like 15 for the next 6 months, getting my money's worth with Returnal alone. Beat the second boss today. What a rush! Some reads you want to throw to controller, but when you succeed it just feels awesome.

Cyberpunk 2077. Very impressed with the series X version so far. I tried it when it was first released and asked for a refund, but now it does look like a complete game, and a very well done at that.

Before that, I tried Elden Ring, but it is not for me. And one week ago I completed Forbidden’s West main sorry and most side quest. Loved it!

@Reeneman I blame the next gen upgrades more on Sony than on CDPR to be honest. It works flawlessly on Xbox, while almost every game has issues when upgrading to a PS5 version

@Ralizah as good as a license is, it needs a solid game behind it to sell like this. Square Enix might have some lessons learned to share about this topic

I own both Series X and PS5, but personally this is doesn’t have any impact to me. I own maybe 3 activision games. I bough COD MW2 remastered on sale, Crash Bandicoot Trilogy and that’s it.

Sony, tried to offer money of the studios to lock some of the games to PS (Deathloop, FFVII).

MS, yeah, hold my beer, I think I'll get the studios now. I think it is gone too far, but I think Sony themselves put the industry in this situation. They were talks about the approaching every single studio to keep their games exclusive to Playstation, MS, just was smarter, and enabled by much deeper pockets.

It finally allowed me to get the the upgrade, I clicked view product, then 3 dots and then got the upgrade version, which previously would tell me that it is not available, now it finally was.

Nothing for me. Guess not available in Mexico.

If anything Xbox recent raise from the disaster with the Xbox One launched helps PS gamers as it keeps Sony in their toes and prevents them from becoming complacent. Imagine Sony's practices if Microsoft wasn't around?

If for own couldn't care less about either, got both consoles, and recently my Xbox has been turned on much more, but will happily change that when Horizon hits. But so far this holiday season I've really enjoyed Halo Infinte, Forza Horizon 5 and Resident Evil Village (I bought on a thanksgiving sale). On PS5, I did play recently Ratchet & Clank: Drift Apart which I bought on a sale as well, but that's pretty much it.

I think all of them look very cheap and tacky except the black one. The tones are terrible IMO

Guys, just buy a GamePass subscription, play for a month or two and disable it. If anything Microsoft makes it easy to play even if you don't own their hardware.......That definitely cannot be said about the other two.

Forza and Metroid dread are the top 2 for me. Wasn’t interested in either Returnal or Rift Apart. I enjoyed Deathloop but after completing it it kind of fell flat for me.

@Would_you_kindly I didn't buy it, just using GamePass. The New Zealand trick works for Gamepass games as well

@Would_you_kindly With Xbox thankfully for most games, you can just change your region to New Zealand and get a day early. Been enjoying Forza Horizon 5 today (didn't buy the premium add on).

LOL, if only they would have gone the same route Eidos Montreal took for Guardians of the Galaxy. Almost done with it, nothing groundbreaking, but definitely very fun! The dialogue and interaction between the characters is very well done, keeps you invested in the relationship and is genuinely funny. It's been perfect for me to wind-down after a hard day of work.

I love all the people "offended" at this. Sony is just a business, this company is another business trying to attract attention. And given the coverage they're getting for a simple product as face plates, they are being quite successful at this. I actually like the design much better. Much more subdued than the default PS5 design.

Isn't Mortal Kombat X already available? I mean sure I loved it and played to date back in 2015, but not sure what's the point of giving it now, especially since it is already in the service.

Even its sequel has come and gone by now.

@get2sammyb their last Tomb Raider game (Shadow was developed by a different studio) was a timed Xbox exclusive. So I wouldn't say it is unprecedented. Square enix has strong relationships with every console maker

Incredible game. My favorite PS5 release so far, really addicting. Exceeded my expectations by far.
