Yay. I still have the map with my PS3 version so if Bethesda cba then no biggie. It is true what they say, good things do indeed come to those who wait.
I think there is a certainly a case here in Europe with the store pricing of first party titles. When sales are on you often find first party titles more expensive than their US version. I’m not referring to exchange rates but simply the numerical value of the item, for example GT7 in last sale $30, £35 in UK.
@Jacko11 Nice, well spotted. @SoulChimera You would think it is coming otherwise Capcom would, i imagine come out quickly in order to prevent PSVR players waiting months after release for that VR dlc. Just idle thoughts.
As a value proposition it is a good deal but it isn’t MS dipping their toe in VR, you won’t be playing Indiana Jones in VR on your Xbox (on your PC modded perhaps). MS toes were dragged out of VR when they shut down the Bethesda VR programme.
@Medic_alert It is a great bit of kit and this last year has seen some really good games not to mention only a few months ago we got one of the best games on system with Hitman. These doom articles do amuse me because at this point in time the software library is quite extensive although I’m not blind to the multitude of missteps by Sony.
The biggest negative for me and the reason I delayed purchase was the lack of backward compatibility and lack of first party releases/ports (someone explain to me how Persistence is on PCVR but not Psvr2 even though we already have a PS5 version).
@Northern_munkey Dirt Rally is only PSVR1 compatible. Also I think unless you have purchased the VR dlc (or have the complete disc) then you may be out of luck as it has been delisted. It was pretty great though and I put many hours into that game, all in VR.
I could be wrong but didn’t the original psvr launch without a camera and the (important later on) move controllers? Suddenly that $399 isn’t so affordable.
PS. Undead citadel just released a trailer...arriving next week.
@graymamba Me too, in fact I’m thinking of going back to Mafia 3 and finishing off the plat as someone on psnprofiles has posted a comment on how to get round Hanger13’s mess without messing around with reverting to a previous patch. I enjoyed Mafia 3, especially the music.
“It’s in the sand” Finishing off PGA 2k21 before the servers are turned off, cut off in their prime. Plus The Division 1 which I’m finding very enjoyable despite being a bit apprehensive before starting it. Oh and some more Cult of the Lamb.
About to start Cult of the lamb, I quite fancy running a cult as I’m sick of shining my own shoes.
Also, in VR Holiday Simulator (known in some regions as Vacation Simulator). Coming to the end of it now but the sandcastles and ice sculptures are driving me potty.
I might get Axiom verge and Alien Rogue Incursion VR (50% off which is its lowest price, flat version coming in September but VR face hugger is where it’s at).
Sad to hear especially as I really like the Rally series but I’ve pretty much stopped buying racing games unless PSVR2 is supported, Dirt Rally on PSVR1 was awesome (no update available for VR2).
Just finishing up Hogwarts Legacy. Been quite addicted to this and enjoyed it more than I thought I would. My student life is coming to an end, again and then back to Hitman psvr2 currently in Marrakesh, I can almost sell the spices.
It is worth noting that Walkabout mini golf is increasing its price to $24.99 from May 1st reflecting the inclusion of dlc into the base game. Best to buy it before then if you are a fan.
I checked on the UK store an hour or so ago as I couldn’t believe it was 60 quid (as PushSq initially reported, they have since updated to show £50). Anyway it was on the store then, on the front page so I didn’t even have to search for it (which may have yielded zero results. ).
@Trousersnake I was praying that Sony had put their hand in their pocket and stumped up for PSVR2 support. Shame as it is a wasted opportunity, even more so because we still haven’t had a PSVR2 Skyrim upgrade. So I too shall be waiting to see what happens as Bethesda have a nasty habit of making you purchase another copy.
Having proximity chat in MAG was great. Once I snuck into a base, was killing the enemies one by one and heard the panic chatter “I’ve just been killed by so and so”, first time I’d actually thought that I was good at a PvP game. I don’t really remember any toxicity, even on that occasion although they were annoyed but then again the average age of a MAG player was (I’m guessing) a little higher than most MP games.
In other news the PS Blog is running their game of the month poll and the number of people raving about Hitman VR (which is included in the poll) is refreshing to see.
@BowTiesAreCool Teleporting isn’t supported in this version. There is support for smooth or snap turning.
Great review Aaron and a great port from IOI. A few further tweaks are needed imo (ability to offset holster position, ability to disable holster sound effect, adjustments to body dragging), all very minor things. However I must say I had quite a few crashes today with Sapienza (none with Paris) and I have read a few reports about crashing so they still have a few issues to fix. But I’m enjoying Hitman psvr2 immensely and this is (for me) a top five psvr2 game.
One word of advice, do the tutorial, if you skipped it then you can find it in the Prologue section. I was watching PS Access play this week, Rob skipped the tutorial and then had a few issues....don’t be like Rob.
Just started Under The Waves, this months game club title. Plus waving my arms like a madman in Saints & Sinners retribution. Have a good weekend everyone.
Another game announced, Memoreum, is apparently also coming to PSVR2 and Steam after the Quest release in September. This is according to the devs. The game looked pretty good.
@graymamba I wouldn’t call it an immersive sim. You basically get a number of missions to complete starting each from a hub area, it isn’t open world. Stealth is the name of the game as you are fairly weak and will die often and nearly every time if fighting more than one opponent (quick saving is essential). You have a number of skills, poisoning food, poison darts, cloning (used more for puzzles than anything).
Nice. Looking forward to this and glad to see the studio have still been working on the IP. @graymamba Interested in this? I can recommend the previous two games, the latter one is much easier to get into and it doesn’t really matter too much if you haven’t played the other one. Good AA quality games.
@Luk4s Horizon is in the current dealmania sale, just under 50,euros. It has been on sale a few times according to platprices and always at the current sale price. Also as I mentioned in a previous comment, the best deal in the current sale is Galaxy kart at around four euros. There is a demo so try and see if your VR legs can handle it.
Personally I’m swimming* in Psvr2 games, plus having recently signed up to PS Plus Premium means even more of them. The last six months have been crazy and next month we have Wanderer and Hitman both releasing on the same day. PS. Bargain in the recent sale is Galaxy Kart for £3 (for PS Plus peeps).
@Ravix @graymamba I know neither of you are interested in trophies and such but the first comment in PowerPyx’s trophy guide gave a great summation of their time with the game.
I haven’t bought any remasters of games that were playable on current gen, I fail to see the point. However I have purchased remastered/ported PSVR1 games and I see value in those ports but clearly Sony do not...seriously where is Wipeout psvr2?
Anyway, a few multi platform VR devs have stated that their PSVR version is outselling the Meta version so perhaps Powerwash would have sold well on PSVR but I guess we will never know, which for me personally is their loss as I already have too many great VR games to play.
@therootfoldroot1 Indeed, sad reflection of modern day society imo.
Playing Valkyrie Chronicles on PS4 for the first time despite owning the PS3 version which I never got round to playing.
@colonelkilgore I didn’t know there was a Stalker trilogy patch inbound which is nice especially as it is on my to buy list. As for Deus Ex. Very annoying when there isn’t any stat provided to show whether you have voided a trophy or not. Crazy how basic and easy to provide information is absent.
It would be nice if they ported Skyrim to psvr2. I would actually buy it again, for the fourth time (all on PlayStation consoles). Of course if Oblivion supports psvr2 then I would buy that, probably not otherwise tbh.
Witcher 3 PS5. Clearing up the dlc trophies. Plus GT7, I was also taken back by the hour weekly challenge then shocked again by how little the race winnings were. Watching Death on the Nile and tempted to reinstall AC Origins.

@aj21009
Not originally.

Eventually after the launch they added a camera and then a Skyrim bundle (the one I bought) but even then no moves.
