Definitely and it is nice to hear of VR Pro upgrades as they are far more rare than they should be.
The only concern is whether it is a decent VR experience as their last one was a bit iffy as I recall.

Been a good year so far for psvr2 releases although there has been the unfortunate studio closures.

Sad. I don’t think we will be seeing Alien RI part two.
However it must be said that part one came out in an iffy state and has now been patched to be a decent game but first impressions and all that. I think the Quest version is supposed to be poor but I haven’t played it as I’ve only played the psvr2 version which I enjoyed.

I liked Raw Data (check it out if you have a psvr1 headset) but the other games from this studio I haven’t played as they didn’t appeal to me.

Hitman is definitely a contender for best PSVR2 game and a game that I didn’t have any interest in until the PSVR1 port was announced, same for GT7 when PSVR2 port was announced.

So many good VR2 games and more on the way, that new Five Nights at Freddie’s game is supposed to be pretty good although it apparently has a few bugs that need squishing.

We just need RE Requiem.

Good fun game though just the one platinum for me but I must get round to the dlc at some point.

I did hope to play MS Flight Sim in VR this weekend but it has been delayed till next week (I only have the physical version so can’t play the beta) so I might start Arcade Paradise instead.
Also trying to find the courage to start Lord(s) of the Fallen.

I’m really itching to start Cyberpunk but also got the urge to play Killzone Shadow Fall.

Dammit I was looking forward to the next Halo, apparently it is an extraction shooter and if there is one thing that we can all agree on, it is that you can never have too many extraction shooters.

Apparently the beta is available now on PS5 if anyone wants to try it, it seems to only work with the digital version.
Some of the more popular VR youtubers will no doubt be checking it out.

Super excited for this game, apparently the devs have been pleased with the player count on PS5 and I hope the VR is received likewise.

I really miss Dirt Rally on PSVR1, rallying is my favourite motorsport and whilst it is good in GT7, it is obviously not the main motorsport type of the game. I still have 250+ hours in GT7 VR but nothing beats sliding sideways in the gravel.

Indeed. I was suggesting that Fromsoft are (rightly) overprotective of the (Sony) IP and would probably be more concerned with this than a remaster, or possibly not who knows. Sony probably never even asked Fromsoft anyway,

Seems strange that (allegedly) Fromsoft didn’t want the professional and capable team Bluepoint to remake/remaster Bloodborne but are quite happy to let some random YouTuber step in and mess with the IP.

Yeah Farpoint is a great game, I played it with a DualShock and actually even managed to platinum it as well which was no mean feat, it is my rarest platinum. Loved that game and even enjoyed all the score challenges which is a game mode that I don’t normally enjoy.

Again with the pointless mud slinging and tbf if some research was actually done on PolyArc then you would discover that their last game didn’t even come to PSVR2 (most likely a Meta deal) so porting it to PSVR2 May have even helped their account balance.

Cheers for the recommendation, I’ve just watched a review and it does look very good. Very low number of owners on psnprofiles so I guess it didn’t sell too well, it certainly went under my radar.

A bit modern Doomish if anyone else is curious.

My opinion is that Sony is probably more concerned with the new Steam box than the niche low volume Xbox.

I’ve just bought DD2 (it has just this minute dispatched) so I can assure you that this rumour is true, at least partly.

Skyrim VR is really very good, I’ve nearly 100% it which should tell you how much I’ve spent in that game.
Also I forgot Star Wars Squadrons and Blood & Truth, tbh the library is quite extensive as is the case with VR2 as well.

For best experiences you will need the Move controllers, Skyrim and Borderlands are both much better with the Moves.
Going back to Puzzling Places (I’ve spent 100+hrs in that game), I think there is a demo available.

Also you might want to check out Hotukdeals (assuming you are in the UK) as every time Sony has a new sale on, an outstanding person on there will post the new sale along with (in the comment section) a list of VR1/2 games with their prices and whether they are the lowest they have been. Very helpful.

Great headset, I still have mine plugged in along with the PSVR2
I recently picked up Fracked (yet to play) which was very cheap (demo available) and Seperation is currently free.
My favourite VR1 games are Astro bot, Skyrim, Borderlands 2, RE7, Dirt Rally (delisted now), Ace combat VR missions, Battlezone, Walking Dead saints and sinners, Puzzling Places (really great especially if you have trouble finding games that don’t give you motion sickness), Hitman (janky and VR2 is much much better), Moss, Doom 3, Until Dawn, Farpoint, Red Matter.
Generally keep an eye on the sales as there has been some real bargains.

One of my PSN friends was offered Sniper Elite Resistance at 70% off (he did show me a screenshot of the offer) and for others in his region it is 30% off.
I’ve always had a low opinion of Sony digital store pricing especially when it comes to US and UK/EU differences but this strikes me as even more dirty.

But whatever really, it just makes me put off buying an item until the deal is universal for that region or better for me obviously.

Seems a bit pointless this remake but I seem to be in the minority here but I hope everyone else enjoys it and Ubisoft gets a bit of a uptick in their fortunes.

Waiting on the VR version which may never arrive, love the series but for me there is only one way to play it.

Kayak is probably one of the last ones to play (after Aces of Thunder) if you are trying to avoid any issues imo.
For safe games, try Puzzling Places which I rate very highly, Demeo , Max Mustard, Ghost signal (highly rated, very cheap), Toy Trains, EDIT Moss.

I also think you might still get on with GT7 because you are placed in an environment where you are focused on looking forward and is more natural than bobbing around in the water, pick a slow car and see how you go. As I say there is a free starter pack (whatever it is called).

But most of all, take your time and don’t push it.

Last year was a great year for PSVR2 and this year is looking to be equally great if not better but of course it is dead for some and that decision was made before it even released.
Last year we had Hitman which (I guess) Sony paid for but don’t forget that they have continued to expand VR support across most of the Hitman content (Freelancer etc..) which (again I guess) goes past their remit, ask them if it is dead.

I do welcome PushSquare’s coverage of PSVR2 as they are one of the very few main stream gaming websites that covers PSVR2 content, I just wish they were a bit more positive. MSFS 2024 is on the way you know?!
And possibly RE9, yes I can still dream.

I hope you enjoy your headset, there is hundreds of games for it and as for GT7, I never had much interest in it before VR. There is a starter game which you can download for free and it supports VR as far as I know. Also check out PSVR Without Parole on YouTube for a Top50 list, most of which I agree with.

More throw them a bone than to bury the news imo but yeah I agree with the conspiracy theorists on this one.
Distractions are all the rage these days.

Half the problem with Xbox is that the consumer doesn’t know where they are from one week to the next.
I do think though if they go the exclusive route then they need to drop day one on Gamepass which tbh they are already moving towards by raising the top tier pricing (again consumer not knowing where things are going).

Perhaps Neil Duckman could have a word.
