When I saw the price I said something that Justin would be proud of.
I too was expecting psvr after Trover saves the universe which was pretty good but I had to mute Justin after a while as it is just too grating.
Without VR I won't be playing this at any price

No problem and it is good that PS check trophy support because I had my doubts, a game recently released called "Math World" has a trophy for playing a mini game 3 times and it was unobtainable at release. It even has the very rare and much prized counter (which should be mandatory) so quite how it was overlooked one can only guess.
NB. Math world VR has been patched so the plat is now obtainable.

It isn't just Sony's future but the industry as a whole, I wouldn't be surprised if in (quite) a few years we have a repeat of 1983 only the reasons will be quite different (forced expensive subs to play games etc).

As for Bethesda, the biggest loss was to PS VR as I think there was about five or so PSVR games. No upgrade for Skyrim VR is pretty sad.

I feel the need, the need for a 97p for a month of EA Play deal.

I still remember the farce with the incendiary grenade in Resistance. It really annoyed me and later insomniac made it free but only for the NA region which fuelled my rage even more.

I suppose I should let it go after more than a decade but it still pees me off, along with that bloody 10k killing machine trophy.

@Tr3mmOr I watched the trailer earlier and immediately pressed the mute button but then I do that for a lot of trailers that feature music that is not to my taste.
If that music is in the game I will be avoiding it.

Interested to see the AC VR game and hopeful it comes to PSVR2 as well as Quest. Trust it has a bit of scalability so it doesn't just look like (another) Quest port.

Would also like to see a Far Cry or Splinter Cell VR game, Sony should grease Ubisoft's palms.

It is bizarre, I guess it is so when gamers say "we don't want VR in our showcases" Sony can turned round and say it wasn't us, it was them.

Hard to come to any other conclusion.
Now if Sony only they had the same distaste for GaaS.

When the Vision Pro UI appeared I immediately thought "the Vita isn't dead, long live the Vita".
I can see this product only helping PSVR2 as people will say "We can't spend 4K (after taxes), lets settle for the Sony experience instead". (Possibly )
This product is a threat to Quest Pro if anything which probably explains the recent Meta showcase which was much more focused on games than the last one.

@colonelkilgore Yeah diablo isn't my bag either, I played the D3 on PS3 so it has been that long since the previous instalment so I'm happy for fans that D4 turned out well but I won't be playing it.

I do agree that all this "mode" talk seems unnecessary double speak and I can only think they say it to avoid the fact that it isn't 100% playable in VR (i.e. Mercenaries, possible dlc etc...).

Shockingly bad especially for VR2, the only saving grace for both flat and VR was the near total absence of first party studios.
Helldivers needed a VR mode.

Mainly in it for the excitement of VR, so here are my VR predictions...
Ace combat 8 announced for flat plus entirely playable in VR.
Half life Alyx, although I feel this might be a summer game fest announcement.
Wolverine if shown which I doubt will be playable in VR.
Borderlands 3 announced for VR.

And finally Skyrim updated for psvr2, okay perhaps that is being too unrealistic.

@tselliot This is why the only way forward for VR is what has been called hybrid games, games which are playable in flat and VR. For example Hitman 3, Dirt rally, Resident evil 7/8/4, gt7 etc..
Personally I really enjoy hybrid games and more of them will give me more faith in Sonys VR commitment, perhaps Wolverine could be hybrid or Last of Us could be modified (it has shown to work on PC with a mod).

I experienced this playing HZD around the time it was put on ps+.
I also seem to remember it happening years ago but it is a very rare event, I guess the license query timed out or something like that.

Plus it is time for a few vr1 ports, personally I think they should create a ps+ Vr collection which includes vr1 ports and make a commitment like adding one per quarter, this would bolster Vr sales...if indeed they are lacking.

As we have GT7 in VR, F1 isn't such a loss but this decision is still disappointing.
I just hope the next rally game is supported on PS VR2, Dirt Rally VR was brilliant and was considerably easier for me than in flat mode. Wipeout was the same.
If there isn't support for psvr2 in the next rally game then I shall be writing to my MP.
