It’s the ultimate match made in heaven: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and PSVR2. The pair will converge later today, as part of a free update to the outstanding Asobo sim.
We know the dev has been beavering away on this feature for quite some time, using Gran Turismo 7’s excellent PSVR2 implementation as a reference, and now it’s finally ready to take flight.
The update will be available to download on the PS5 today, from 10AM PDT. If you’re not sure what time that is in your country, we’ve embedded a guide below:
- North America: 10am PDT / 11am MDT / 12pm CDT / 1pm EDT
- UK/Ire: 6pm BST
- Europe: 7pm CEST / 8pm EEST
- Asia/Oceania: 2am (Fri) JST / 1am (Fri) AWST / 3am (Fri) AEST
We piled praise on this Xbox Game Studios release when it launched last year, describing it as the “most ambitious and polished sim on the PS5”. You can read our full review through here.
Naturally, we’ll be revisiting the game and reviewing it on PSVR2, so give us a few days to take to the skies and try out the implementation in full.
In the meantime, let us know if you’ll be dusting off your headsets and flying over your home in the comments section below.
