Well I think we all know now that the narrative "Gamepass is profitable" was a bit of a porkie although I think we all suspected it.

Some of the decisions made by PlayStation these days are truly baffling.

Love the Capcom Gold editions (as long as the dlc is on disc).
I've yet to buy RE4 as I'm holding out my playthrough in order to play through in VR.

Apparently you can play it solo but it is a tough game, however you can level up ala Souls genre so hopefully you can overcome the evil within.

And yes I did see that Sonys incompetence had struck again and the Devs said something about it not being on their bingo card.
Still it seems to be in a fairly good state (only from what I've seen and I've yet to play it) although hotus support seems a bit broken, however there may be other bugs so waiting for the patch might be best.
I did hear that both dualsense and sense controllers are supported.

In other news, Ultrawings 2 stealth dropped on the store yesterday. Looks pretty great (as the original was) and a decent price of £16.

Now Until Dawn Rush of Blood needs a remaster for PSVR2, not to mentioned that even the current version (PSVR1) has issues on PS5.

It is interesting because I was reading a community post on PS Access's YouTube channel and the comments were mostly pretty negative which is surprising because their comment section is normally very Pro PS and positive.
Imo I think PS players have reached a tipping point with all these remasters, GaaS and lack of a showcase/roadmap.
It is going to be interesting if the Horizon remaster is true because that will really cause a scene.

With regards to the TLoU2 remaster, I actually think a £10 upgrade is okay whereas the Part1 remake I did consider a cash grab.

@colonelkilgore Yeah I didn't like the feeling of auto-popping when I did it to the extend that I don't do it anymore, it seems a bit pointless however some trophies are just nasty (e.g. Uncharted 4 speedrun) and in those cases I load a PS4 save after I have finished the other enjoyable trophies.....so yeah whatever I guess.

I was watching some gameplay of the new mode and I have to say that it looks more like something that was planned to be in the cancelled factions mode, perhaps a 4 player coop mode against AI like Uncharted 3 had (this is obviously SP though).

I will definitely play through this again at some point.

I've just googled it and there is, on the PC version at least but I dare say it made it to the psvr2 version.

Good review and I'm glad it appears to be great especially after the recent albeit short delays.

@riceNpea I recall hearing on the PSVR without parole channel that there is replay value through the use of gameplay modifiers etc.. but I cannot remember if they mentioned NG+
Also I think they mentioned User Generated levels although I don't know whether that feature is still in early access (on PC) or whether that will even make its way to the PSVR2 version.

I'm sure all will be revealed in the coming days.
PS A physical version is also on the way if anyone is interested.

True if TLoU2 has VR support.
I will be buying the £10 upgrade but Why the hell they didn't take this opportunity to implement full or partial VR support is beyond me (same goes for Helldivers 2).

Bit strange to have Moonscars and Salt & Sacrifice in the same month as they look fairly similar although I haven't played either so I could be wrong there. In fact Grime could also be added to this list and after watching a review I'm probably more inclined to play this one.

So only six months for Snowrunner, that's a bit poor imo.

It was a funny joke but when the camera panned to one of the audience members, the expression on his face I thought he was going to shout "Get my game's name out of your filthy mouth"

@colonelkilgore That was one of my picks as well, it looks so good.
My other two picks were Light no fire (VR essential though) and Exodus (can never have too many sci fi rpgs especially as Bioware is a shadow of their former self).

I think you are correct, I was looking forward to the RE4 VR stream and one minute it was due to be streamed at 14:30 GMT , then 15:00 and then cancelled.
I just tried to download the VR addon and it failed although I did manage to download the merc mode so perhaps it is just PS5 only content.

Trophies are enabled for VR this time.

I did hope that PSVR2 would also attack the holidays.

@Splat I'm almost 100% sure there are trophies tied to this, Eurogamer just put out a video which shows a trophy popping that is not the PS4 trophy list for the base game. Obviously they might have changed the base game trophies so it is unknown whether it is a DLC trophy i.e. Downgrade some previous gold/silver trophies and add bronze ones for this mode however I don't think that would go down very well with people.

@colonelkilgore I do laugh at those daft Xbox tax comments, if anything there is a Sony tax because whenever I see a deal for an Xbox game the PS4/5 version is invariably more expensive.

@colonelkilgore Unfortunately there isn't a "Most loading screens" category. Perhaps you should tweet (X?) Geoff and see if there can be a surprise late admission.

As people have said, avoid this if purely after a VR experience.
Welcome to the digital release only future were games are sold on false promises and refunds are rarely possible.

Let's hope that Ace Combat 8 is announced soon and is a 100% VR / Flat (a hybrid if you will) experience.

As someone who still uses PSVR1 this shutdown isn't good news.
Driveclub VR was also treated to a similar fate, only 3 1/2 years after release so it didn't fare quite as well as GT Sport. The platinum for Driveclub Vr is now no longer obtainable.

Doesn't bode well for this live service future but then I don't trust Sony keeping servers up, as I have said in the past.
