Looks really interesting, the environments look great. Plus I like the more slower methodical combat.
Oh and that Holy Sword dash mechanic is in Wrath Aeon of Ruin VR, speaking of which this game would be ideal for a VR adaption but obviously with a small dev team this is highly unlikely which is a shame.
Will stick it on my wish list.

A Midnight Walk, playing it in VR and it is like being in an old 80s cartoon.
Rush VR. A wing suit game which is lots of fun although I had to turn down (just down, not off) the headset rumble because it was just too much.
Plus gonna start Two Point Museum.

Ah yes I did watch a vid from a UK VR youtuber and I logged in and the deal wasn’t available for me (quelle surprise).
I’m the sort of stubborn git that refuses to purchase games whenever lower discounts are elsewhere , I believe in fair play. I recall a similar situation with Dreams, I refused to buy that as well (which subsequently came to PS+).

Ah yes the generous US discounts, similar to Horizon Call of Mountain which was $15 in the US last month whilst in the UK has never been cheaper than approx. £42.

Long live physical media, well for another 14 months at least.
And yes I’m aware Horizon CotM doesn’t have a physical release which explains the high store price!

Midnight Walk was on my watchlist so that’s nice, I will play that in VR for Halloween.
Gonna try out the Tales of Arise dlc as well, assuming the store lets me download this version.

Could be. I watched a review and it seems a bit like Shadow of the Colossus, where the colossus is a mountain. Got to watch that stamina bar.

And yeah great for PS+ as I think people would shy away from trying this otherwise, imo.

I doubt they have fixed the trophies but fingers crossed, tbh the best thing we could hope for is that it doesn’t crash so at least we can complete the trophies in one sitting.

It is very strange, I’m wondering what license is stored on your account after it is available on Extra. Would you get the Essentials one which will not expire and be available as long as you have PS Plus Essentials or higher, or would you get the Extra license which will expire (in usually a year or less if it is Rockstar) ?

Nom nom Galaxy. Completing a planet or two a day so as to spread it out, mainly due to the online challenges that cycle every couple of days.
Sniper Elite Resistance. Slowly working my way through the levels.

And finally Helldivers 2.
Having great fun co-oping with @psmr and randoms. On the home stretch now with just the grinding to do before obtaining the fairly common (compared to HD1) platinum. Still the grind is great fun especially compared to HD1.

Got the soup machine out and finding some unusual recipes in Nom Nom Galaxy plus whacking some baddies in Sniper Elite Resistance.

I tuned into the previous Xbox showcase, for the first and last time as I see little point in watching them now, if the games come then they come but I’m not getting excited watching a showcase till I know for sure.

Loving the comments about Chained Echoes, quite looking forward to it now.
I might also try a game of rounders and a few gonads will also be shot (I will be aiming for the head, honest).

I do get that So y have been shocking with their VR2 support especially when it comes to VR1 ports, or total lack of and none have been more critical than me when it comes to their lacklustre support and it is one more reason as to why I will probably skip the PS6. However I do think that the PS6 will at least support VR2 games through back compatibility but we shall see, as I say though I have no interest in a PS6.

The most interesting thing for me is the lack of VR2 supply at the moment, apparently stocks are extremely low so maybe out of stock soon, in fact I was thinking about buying a spare just in case.
Hopefully Steam Frame will breathe some life in the VR market but for myself I have a major backlog so I’m good for a while.

Not really, Flat2VR who are doing the Lords work have more games coming, their vault announcement which comprises of five safes each opened by a youtuber/industry professional (Shu was one of the people) will showcase a new game, the first of which was Drop Dead the cabin.

Flat2VR also still have Flatout 4 coming which looks great.
Plus don’t forget that we got Flight Sim this year which had a Sim update yesterday which improved the visuals dramatically.

People need to be less negative on VR if you aren’t interested then fair enough, just move along.

Sad to see as I’ve enjoyed a few of their games probably the highest on the list were Until Dawn and Until Dawn Rush of Blood though Switchback is good it isn’t as good. They were often asked by the VR2 community to port UD RoB and they replied “it is down to Sony, ask them”, yeah it wouldn’t have brought in the big bucks but every little helps (tm).

Just watching “First man” and can confirm that it is a long way, still I like the Hot Wheels games so I might try for the moon but I agree with others that drifting sucks so hopefully there is a suitable track and an equally suitable elastic band.

I still remember that god awful Singstar application launcher being forced onto everyone’s PS3 XMB.
Sony can and will sink lower.

Capcom, for me, is one of those publishers that I nearly always buy physically probably due to the replay ability nature of those games. I used to always wait for the Gold editions but as the dlc is now provided as a download code, that is no longer the case but hey at least they now “force” a digital purchase out of me that way so well played, I guess.

Great stuff. The first one is a great game and I liked how the people reacted to you depending on which path you took (good/evil...pick a side and stick to it) and it was one of those games where a second playthrough was actually different and worth playing.
Oh and my tip is there is a shard high up in the tower and one on the pier/moorings out to sea. You can thank me later.

Don’t feel bad I think a lot of us cheated with the Kena platinum. I used a different exploit which I think still exists (I played it on PS Plus so it had probably had its last patch by then). The exploit I used was to play on Master till the first village and perform an out of bounds manoeuvre to skip to the end of the game.

No regrets as Master difficulty is hard as nails.

I’m not interested any more plus I like my VR so PC seems the way to go (if at all), however I do think this next gen will have one hell of a gen overlap/cross gen so I do wonder how long before the PS6 is worth the outlay but this will be the first time that I haven’t been a day one purchaser, so I’ve gone from day one to highly unlikely at all.

Gonna be interesting to see what share of the day one buyers like their physical media as well.

Whilst it is quite right to have a pop at Bethesda for the current state of Oblivion Remastered, at least you can flog the physical version.

I guess this means minimal or no discounts for Essential tier during the usual sales (Black Friday, days of play etc..) and lower discount for Extra than Premium which has been the case for a while now but perhaps it will be cut back even further.

I’m on Premium tier but I only buy it when a deal is on otherwise I play my ever increasing backlog and wait for a deal. As I recall the price difference between Extra and Premium was about £3 so I went for that although I rarely use the Premium features though I am quite impressed by the streaming feature.

The Persistence was a rogue lite game where you were a clone on a spaceship, a bit dead space only in the fact that it is space and everything wants you Dead. Dead Space would be an awesome VR game and there is supposed to be something similar coming out, unfortunately I can’t remember what it is called.
Anyway it is an interesting situation that Sony are now in because Meta has basically left the door wide open for them to corner the medium budget titles (or VR AAA if you will) market.
I just wish they would embrace the hybrid approach though one could argue they are but only with third party (Hitman, RE, MSFS).

Indeed, plus Wipeout which is a PSVR1 game that I really miss.
Very annoying how Sony have mishandled (ie ignored) the upgrade situation and it costs them headset sales imo.
Also games like The Persistence (on PSVR1) which had a PCVR release but they couldn’t be bothered to port it to PSVR2. Shameful.

However they were clearly funding things like RE4/8/Hitman and highly likely MSFS2024 so it isn’t all grim.

I would like to see some VR2 games, as always, perhaps even a big game such as RE9 or even Forza 6.

We can hope.
Aside from that perhaps some indication of the old IP, would love to see Motorstorm (VR2 support is a must) or a Resistance or perhaps Infamous.

Yes lots of new content coming to PSVR2 almost on a weekly basis, next week we have Riven and Myst which hopefully are good. Tbh I can’t keep up and just thrown the Moss Bundle into the ever increasing VR backlog.

Have you seen footage of Flatout which is currently in Early Access on Steam, it is coming to PSVR2 but not for a while I think.

Playing Tomb raider 2013 on both PS3 and PS4, the PS3 version holds up well against the PS4 version imo.

As @AgentCooper mentioned, the grind is real and I’ve completed both versions now and with the PS3 version I managed to do both the boosting and the grind with a single charge of a 15 year old controller, what battery life.

Right back to the PS4 single player campaign.
