Capcom, for me, is one of those publishers that I nearly always buy physically probably due to the replay ability nature of those games. I used to always wait for the Gold editions but as the dlc is now provided as a download code, that is no longer the case but hey at least they now “force” a digital purchase out of me that way so well played, I guess.
@get2sammyb Did you see that Flight Sim has had a massive bump to image quality in the current beta? I’m looking forward to that when it makes its way to the release build.
Fab deal and there are loads of good games to play plus more to come.
@AgentCooper Great stuff. The first one is a great game and I liked how the people reacted to you depending on which path you took (good/evil...pick a side and stick to it) and it was one of those games where a second playthrough was actually different and worth playing. Oh and my tip is there is a shard high up in the tower and one on the pier/moorings out to sea. You can thank me later.
@PocketHotDogs Ha ha so true plus I just switched on PS5 to download Rise of the Ronin which is supposed to be available today, only to find it isn’t yet. Shakes fist at cloud
Don’t feel bad I think a lot of us cheated with the Kena platinum. I used a different exploit which I think still exists (I played it on PS Plus so it had probably had its last patch by then). The exploit I used was to play on Master till the first village and perform an out of bounds manoeuvre to skip to the end of the game.
I’m not interested any more plus I like my VR so PC seems the way to go (if at all), however I do think this next gen will have one hell of a gen overlap/cross gen so I do wonder how long before the PS6 is worth the outlay but this will be the first time that I haven’t been a day one purchaser, so I’ve gone from day one to highly unlikely at all.
Gonna be interesting to see what share of the day one buyers like their physical media as well.
Whilst it is quite right to have a pop at Bethesda for the current state of Oblivion Remastered, at least you can flog the physical version. Good luck getting a refund from PSN for the digital version.
I guess this means minimal or no discounts for Essential tier during the usual sales (Black Friday, days of play etc..) and lower discount for Extra than Premium which has been the case for a while now but perhaps it will be cut back even further.
I’m on Premium tier but I only buy it when a deal is on otherwise I play my ever increasing backlog and wait for a deal. As I recall the price difference between Extra and Premium was about £3 so I went for that although I rarely use the Premium features though I am quite impressed by the streaming feature.
@nessisonett According to a minister Bluesky is subject to the ban as well but we shall see, it certainly strikes me as odd that it wasn’t mentioned at the time. And as for not banning Roblox, just what the hell were they thinking but then again that could be said for most politicians these days.
Nice to not own any of them, unlike this months’ Extra selection. Not too interested in the brawler but the other two look like they could be fun and as mentioned Grounded seems fun both in solo or coop reminds me a bit of Forbidden Forest on the C64.
@WaveBoy The Persistence was a rogue lite game where you were a clone on a spaceship, a bit dead space only in the fact that it is space and everything wants you Dead. Dead Space would be an awesome VR game and there is supposed to be something similar coming out, unfortunately I can’t remember what it is called. Anyway it is an interesting situation that Sony are now in because Meta has basically left the door wide open for them to corner the medium budget titles (or VR AAA if you will) market. I just wish they would embrace the hybrid approach though one could argue they are but only with third party (Hitman, RE, MSFS).
@WaveBoy Indeed, plus Wipeout which is a PSVR1 game that I really miss. Very annoying how Sony have mishandled (ie ignored) the upgrade situation and it costs them headset sales imo. Also games like The Persistence (on PSVR1) which had a PCVR release but they couldn’t be bothered to port it to PSVR2. Shameful.
However they were clearly funding things like RE4/8/Hitman and highly likely MSFS2024 so it isn’t all grim.
I would like to see some VR2 games, as always, perhaps even a big game such as RE9 or even Forza 6.
We can hope. Aside from that perhaps some indication of the old IP, would love to see Motorstorm (VR2 support is a must) or a Resistance or perhaps Infamous.
@Northern_munkey Yes lots of new content coming to PSVR2 almost on a weekly basis, next week we have Riven and Myst which hopefully are good. Tbh I can’t keep up and just thrown the Moss Bundle into the ever increasing VR backlog.
Have you seen footage of Flatout which is currently in Early Access on Steam, it is coming to PSVR2 but not for a while I think.
Playing Tomb raider 2013 on both PS3 and PS4, the PS3 version holds up well against the PS4 version imo.
As @AgentCooper mentioned, the grind is real and I’ve completed both versions now and with the PS3 version I managed to do both the boosting and the grind with a single charge of a 15 year old controller, what battery life.
@psmr Definitely and it is nice to hear of VR Pro upgrades as they are far more rare than they should be. The only concern is whether it is a decent VR experience as their last one was a bit iffy as I recall.
Been a good year so far for psvr2 releases although there has been the unfortunate studio closures.
Sad. I don’t think we will be seeing Alien RI part two. However it must be said that part one came out in an iffy state and has now been patched to be a decent game but first impressions and all that. I think the Quest version is supposed to be poor but I haven’t played it as I’ve only played the psvr2 version which I enjoyed.
I liked Raw Data (check it out if you have a psvr1 headset) but the other games from this studio I haven’t played as they didn’t appeal to me.
@gaston Hitman is definitely a contender for best PSVR2 game and a game that I didn’t have any interest in until the PSVR1 port was announced, same for GT7 when PSVR2 port was announced.
So many good VR2 games and more on the way, that new Five Nights at Freddie’s game is supposed to be pretty good although it apparently has a few bugs that need squishing.
I did hope to play MS Flight Sim in VR this weekend but it has been delayed till next week (I only have the physical version so can’t play the beta) so I might start Arcade Paradise instead. Also trying to find the courage to start Lord(s) of the Fallen.
@psmr I’m really itching to start Cyberpunk but also got the urge to play Killzone Shadow Fall.
Dammit I was looking forward to the next Halo, apparently it is an extraction shooter and if there is one thing that we can all agree on, it is that you can never have too many extraction shooters.
@psmr I’m looking forward to the new Destin video, “Exclusivity is good and here’s why”.
@Gremio108 Doesn’t matter who came up with the idea, the Tories came up with PFI’s but it wasn’t until the other lot got their hands on them that the brown stuff really hit the fan.
@Dogbreath Indeed, the COD (not that I play COD online) lobbies will still be full of kids making unkind remarks about your mother. As for Xbox didn’t they say that you could chat to people on your friends list, just not randoms which would have been fine by me.
My PSN account is 19 years old and the first trophy earned is 18 years ago (Uncharted First Treasure) yet Sony needs to confirm that I am indeed an old b’stard.
Just when you thought you couldn’t despise this government any more.
Apparently the beta is available now on PS5 if anyone wants to try it, it seems to only work with the digital version. Some of the more popular VR youtubers will no doubt be checking it out.
Super excited for this game, apparently the devs have been pleased with the player count on PS5 and I hope the VR is received likewise.
@Northern_munkey I really miss Dirt Rally on PSVR1, rallying is my favourite motorsport and whilst it is good in GT7, it is obviously not the main motorsport type of the game. I still have 250+ hours in GT7 VR but nothing beats sliding sideways in the gravel.
@Slayer25c Indeed. I was suggesting that Fromsoft are (rightly) overprotective of the (Sony) IP and would probably be more concerned with this than a remaster, or possibly not who knows. Sony probably never even asked Fromsoft anyway, Inb4 “look how they massacred my boy”
@carlos82 I’ve never watched his channel but I have seen, or rather heard him in a few gaming showcases over the years. I remember him because of the mad scramble for the mute button.
As long as we don’t have to hear Sean then I guess it could be ok.
Seems strange that (allegedly) Fromsoft didn’t want the professional and capable team Bluepoint to remake/remaster Bloodborne but are quite happy to let some random YouTuber step in and mess with the IP. We shall see. Umbasa (wrong IP but apt).
Finishing off the Test Drive platinum thanks to help from @psmr (finally managed the 360, Taycan ftw). Also playing a bit of Puzzling Places and Epic Mickey.
@Bob_Tempura Yeah Farpoint is a great game, I played it with a DualShock and actually even managed to platinum it as well which was no mean feat, it is my rarest platinum. Loved that game and even enjoyed all the score challenges which is a game mode that I don’t normally enjoy.
Again with the pointless mud slinging and tbf if some research was actually done on PolyArc then you would discover that their last game didn’t even come to PSVR2 (most likely a Meta deal) so porting it to PSVR2 May have even helped their account balance.
@themightyant Glad you are enjoying Skyrim as it really is awesome in VR, you really feel part of the world. Borderlands 2 is worth a try if you fancy another meaty VR game.
