UK Sales Charts: Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Dances Into the Bestsellers

After avengers wasn't expecting much but guardians is one of the most fun games I've played in years really what avengers should off been like

Guardians is a great play through and worth every penny. Keeps you laughing all the way and the combat is pretty cool to though the delay setting to issue commands to your teammates always seems to reset on me back down to 0.7 from 1 when I load into the game and it's a bit annoying, but damn it's super fun!

If I ever meet the great Oracle of the Universe I’ll have one question: Where are all these copies of GTAV, MK8, and Minecraft? Surely every person on earth has a copy by now.

Outside fifa 22 and Riders i own every game in the top 10.

Guardians is good, we’ll deserved and no microtransactions, nice to see it doing well.

I'm sure avengers sales will be like this too if the game is single player focused like this one

I still have a couple of games to play, but after that I plan to play this game.

GOTG is fantastic, they done really well with it. Kudos to them, reminds me of the film's.

Really pleased to see guardians do so well, hopefully this means we'll get a sequel. I love the tone, graphics, story and the banter between the characters, have laughed quite a few times. My only small gripe is the combat is just OK for me, it's fun but just controlling starlord and with his guns being like pea shooters it just seems to be missing something.
Well worth the money though, hopefully we get more single player games like this.

That game is poorly optimized on PS5, so I won't waste my money on that crap.
I'm more looking forward to Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine, which are 10x better than that game.

Looking forward to playing Guardians of the Galaxy! I am currently playing Far Cry 6 but it is just not clicking for me... I am about 1/3 of the way? Personally I find it to be one of the weaker entries in the series. Far Cry 3 is still the benchmark

@wiiware I think The Avengers game sold much better than most people think, but other than that I completely agree with you. It could have done so much better as a single player game.

Guardians is pretty dang fun.

@PC_Peasant if you've not wasted your money on it and not played it how on earth do you know Spideman and Wolverine will be better ? You've not touched this and they're not even out yet ?? ....and GOTG runs and looks superb on PS5, something you couldn't know !? Sheesh

Having a blast with GOTG. Fun to play and the banter is just funny. It is a perfect "after work" game.

Great to see FarCry6 still up there. If looking for a fun co-op game, that is the one.

Guardians is a solid game (about half way through), but I don't quite share the showering of praise it's receiving. 90% of the game is walking, talking, occasionally squeezing through cracks in walls, and sliding down slopes. Of the six or so hours I've put into it, I reckon about 20 minutes of that was actual combat.

Also the PS5 optimisation is a mess, 1080p in performance mode, I mean c'mon!

@uptownsoul If the digital sales of Xbox version close the gap, then the digital sales of the ps version will rewiden it again in all likelihood.

I can't understand how the Developers thought the parts where you fly the Milano were "Fun"

It's a cracking game. I'm enjoying it. Though getting stuck in a "this part of the outcrop is still a ledge so you can only go back" glitch pissed me off for 20 minutes as I went from one end to the other. when it should have taken me all of 15 seconds!! Aside from that it's real fun. I'll probably do a quick and easy chapter by chapter re-run to collect all the stuff I missed by focussing on the story.

@oconnoclast I see Samsung are giving the PC version away with some of their external hard drives. I suspect these are being included in the chart count - considering the number of not too positive reviews I'm seeing around the web

@JB_Whiting I don't mind all the dialogue as I enjoy the story element of games. Keeps the characters fleshed out too.

Im liking it but it suffers a similar problem with a load of titles that have a "detective view"
I end up spending as much time in the "detective view" as I do out. (prob a me problem)

Kudos to the insane accesibility options.....how many other games can you change the sound EQ?!

Only way it could be better is to make "detective mode" in normal view (just make destroyables/collectables more obvious - scans are are entirely different an can remain in "detective mode"

Funny, I am also thinking about getting GotG in the physical copy format.
