Re: Rockstar Games Co-Founder and Writer of Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead Redemption Set to Leave Company

BeenGamingSince_83

Interesting, of course. How it'll pan out for future games by R*, we'll just have to wait and see. Personally I've felt for a while now that this particular Houser wasn't all that good of a writer. So this could all be for the better. I'm almost shocked that RDR2 didn't get more(or any?) flak in the story department. It was seriously bland and lacking ...
But this is just my opinion. No harm intended.

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Battle Pass Progression Is Suspiciously Slow

BeenGamingSince_83

No point in buying the BP, since it's only cosmetics. And also, one famous Youtuber has calculated that you have to play 3 hours every single day(!) of the season to reach max. That's insane for most ordinary people with jobs and lives outside gaming and who might also have an interest in playing other games than COD in between.

Also: this is probably done on purpose to induce people into buying the tiers

Re: Guide: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare PS4 Open Beta - Dates, Times, and What's Included

BeenGamingSince_83

@Quintumply @TheBuzz Problem is (for me at least) I haven't found a single place where it's stated exactly when we can download the Open Beta for free (without preorder redeem codes). If we want to start playing Open Beta free tomorrow the 14th, then surely we'd like to download the gigantic file som time in advance so we actually will be able to play the 14th at all? As of now Friday 13th it's 'not purchase able'(as in can't be downloaded) on PS store due to I don't own Modern Warfare.

@Rick_Deckard Just remember; don’t get put of by the slow beginnings and at times repetitive missions. Hang in there and level up abilities, weapons and the bike. Then after a while, the fun kicks in. And by the end of the story mission, you’ll be ready to really take on all the hordes without fear😊 Good luck!

Re: Various PS Plus Subscription Prices Increasing in Europe, Again

BeenGamingSince_83

@sinton Did you also receive two emails? The first had a %twelve_price% tag in stead of the actual price amount. In the second email this was corrected. However the translation to norwegian was still erroneous, as it stated an increase by NOK 580,-
That would have been awful. I pray this is the new total amount and not just the increase 😂

Re: Site News: Push Square Is Now Ten Years Old (We Think)

BeenGamingSince_83

I was a die hard CVG follower ever since I bought my first physical copy i 1983 and later on the web. So when that web site sadly died/ was taken down, a few years ago, I searched the web for my every day go-to site. So after trying out every other annoying site out there I finally stumbled over Push Square and was hooked. This was just the right web site!

Keep it going into my elder years, please. And keep up the great work! Happy anniversary!

Re: UK Sales Charts: Grand Theft Auto V Returns to the Top

I used to be a GTA addic back in the day. Still like the games, (not the online part that much though) but strangely enough I invested several days of gameplay into San Andreas on ps2, but gtaIV on ps3 and gtaV on ps4 just haven’t had the same pull on me... not sure why, but personally I think the narrative is over rated in IV and V.

Re: Check out Five Minutes of new Metal Gear Survive Gameplay on PS4

" Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, a title widely lauded for its tight gameplay."
This baffles me ... I played the first chapter or something (escape from the hospital I think) and it was horrible (got it 'free' with PS+). All gameplay, visuals, direction and logic was just south of every other title recently played (in 2016/17). Can't imagine playing throught it to be honest.

Looks totally mental good! Day 1 for sure. Will be interesting though, to experience it in creation mode and see where the limits are. I remember LBP and the one plattformer I made, it hit the roof memory wise pretty easy. And this seems way beyond everything in LBP, but I guess a lot have changed since the PS3 days

Re: EA Acquires Titanfall Developer Respawn Weeks After Shutting Visceral

@get2sammyb Maybe Zampella is rich... who knows, depends how one defines rich. Also, if you paid attention back in 2010, Zampella actually paid from his own pockets when starting the new studio Respawn and paying the wages for the employees the first couple of years or more while creating TF1. Also, Jason West was part of the deal when splitting with Activision, so Zampella didn’t get it all.
