@themightyant I felt the same way with Ghost, so towards the end I switched to easiest difficulty and just sailed through it, boring as hell, but got the Platinum. But it seems just so wrong. Ended up the same way with Spiderman 2.
It's so sad that Apex and Destiny has grown into beasts which has made it impossible for new players to access or as me, trying to dip my toe into Apex last year after being away for two years. I got melted so hard I have almost not recovered yet ...
Maybe these news are positive in that respect, but I fear I'm forever burnt by Apex and won't return.
On top of this you will be tempted to buy Shark cards, subscribe to GTA+ just to get the premium graphics and content. And also the Online part will be heavily monetized in one shape or form. It's getting out of control now, for sure ...
It's so sad. I grew up with Blue Velvet and later followed Twin Peaks and the rest of the films. Already ordered the ultimate Twin Peaks: from Z to A, Blu-ray box, so I'll mourne with that series during the winter.
I completed the DS1 and look forward to then sequel. I loved a lot in then first one and could really escape when playing it (for hours). All that said I really hope the second installment have a lot of refinements when it comes to the GUI, Map and the constantly BT interruption of game flow when traversing the landscape etc.
I'm never going back to PC gaming. After playing on PC for a few years in the early 2000's after switching from 8bit and 16bit gaming, I got the PS2 in 2004 and have never missed any of the PC hassle. If the console era dies, I (as in gaming) die with it.
It’s a slog of a game. Some fun to be had, sure. But it becomes to samey and repetitive, I guess already during 2 hours of play. So many assembly points, gates, elevators and empty areas. This is IMO.
I'm a big fan of the movies, and this looked just like... a movie. I'm skeptical. Also Machingames making it could mean klunky gameplay/ combat. Guess we'll find out come spring.
@zhoont I'm still stuck in the subway level and have been for a year. I'm out of ammo, lost and can't get out alive and the save slots in this game sucks big time. So I have yet to see how great this game really can be ... I mean, all the clues, and the Case board, it's all so confusing.
Great game. Both me and my son have sunk almost 100 hours into this game between us on PS4 and PS5. We both have got the platinum, and I also bought all the DLC. Such Great entertainment😊
Yeah I got it friday. And yes, it's been grand playing something familiar to COD again for the first time in 5-6 years. Also the Zombies mode is back and great to play. And the leveling, progression and gun play in MP is good. The game over all is very polished and no bugs so far. The old SBMM is there of course, so that is still negative.
@Yagami "They just need to stop jerking themselves off, lower their scopes and focus on quality over quantity. I´ll take an AC Odyssey any day, if it´s a third or even a fifth of the size, just super polished and with loads more thought and effort put into the remaining content."
I think it's a no brainer the Ubi formula is done and done. Many have grown tired of the same games in different wrappings. Some things need to change in a serious way. I also have had a good time with both Far cry games and AC games, but man, lately it's become very stale ...
@get2sammyb I loved DC! It was my first game on PS4 (bundled with the console). I've got such much fond memories from that era. I still think it's a real and utter shame that Evolution got closed down. What a developer!
@Oz_Who_Dat_Dare Well summarized! I've had a lot of the same experiences with the game. I got the plat and never looked back, coz I was totally spent after the riding around.
@Kidfunkadelic83 I feel you. I'm still trying to get through it, but dayum it's clunky, slow and a lot of door opening and bad jet packs. And the AI is horrible and every level so far very samey. It's not bad, but far (very far)from some of the best shooters I've played including both Doom and Wolfenstein games for example.
@MasterChiefWiggum I agree on that. And also at times, this games is just an 'Open gates simulator', walking past empty assembly points and interacting with that door knob, again and again. Oh, and the jet packs, not very fun ...
Bah! This is just alarmingly depressive. I was once also a PC gamer. It was good reasons why I chose console instead… I’ll go play some Vampire survivors now. I will not need the Pro for that, like ever …
Bought it and love it!
It makes me wonder though, why Capcom don't make a similar version of the old Commando game, with hordes of enemies and you the player just mowing them down in a similar fashion but maybe still just vertical scrolling and not endless levels. I'd buy that for a few dollars for sure (I know I'm very old and old school )
@nessisonett I also played the Beta. I didn't hate it but I don't love it either. And I can't see myself paying for this. If it was FTP I probably would give it some more time, but as it is now, no way.

Re: Unfortunately, PS5's Disc Drive Add-On Shortage Doesn't Seem to Be Getting Better
@Oram77 same here. Got my hands on one in december. Then that hurdle is out of the way for when I decide to cave in and buy the pro.

P.S. I guess my most played game of 2024 will be Vampire Survivors.
