Bought it and love it!
It makes me wonder though, why Capcom don't make a similar version of the old Commando game, with hordes of enemies and you the player just mowing them down in a similar fashion but maybe still just vertical scrolling and not endless levels. I'd buy that for a few dollars for sure (I know I'm very old and old school )

@nessisonett I also played the Beta. I didn't hate it but I don't love it either. And I can't see myself paying for this. If it was FTP I probably would give it some more time, but as it is now, no way.

I love these games. But I'm also surprised by why many of the old shooters hasn't been remade for consoles; like Terra Cresta, Xenon, Xenon2, RType, Sanxion, Delta, Commando, 1942 etc. I think they would be great. Also the old platformeres like Monty on the run and Aufwiedersehen and so on. I think so extremely many cools things could be done with these games and added upon with the fidelity and possibilities the new HW has now.

Yeah, I tried it, and it's not bad. I'll boot it up frequently to check on the changes UBI will be doing the coming weeks after all the feedback from users on netcode etc.

@BAMozzy so true. I saw recently that David Vonderhaar has started a new studio called Bullet Farm. Their philosophy with no BS games, no annual releases and no battle pass, sounds Very interesting.

This must be based on experience from previous generations and the belief the current gen will be similar. I would say in no way the PS5 has peaked. My PS5 is still sitting here waiting to be maxed out by som monster games(not released on PS4 also). And this gen was hit hard in the start (pandemic) and now we're on the cusp of starting the articles regarding 'next gen' even before the likes of Naughty Dog have released anything new this gen. I'm almost lost for words how weird it's all become ...

has been hiring for about two years or more, and still has lots of job openings. They have about 51-200 employees and still haven't said a peep about what kind of game they are working on. Taylor Kurosaki is CEO.

They really should focus on other things, such as the pacing in their games such as A plague tale … yawn.

@get2sammyb I agree, but why don't they keep the micro transactions 'micro' as in cheap and just keep feeding a lot more small bundles or items cheap? I think they would earn the same bucks.

That said, it's sad what Apex has become. New players will struggle to get into this, it's bonkers difficult now, gameplay wise.

@Tchunga also there is a lot of permanent upgrades, so even when you die you almost always go back in more prepared and stronger. Just amazing.
