Re: Rumour: Amazon Buys Tomb Raider for Twice the Price of Embracer's Square Enix Buyout

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I'm still a bit surprised that Sony didn't want to grab it. Since Tomb Raider was sold to EG, I thought to myself that CD would have been good for continuing with new Uncharted games and continue to make Tomb Raider while taking turns releasing them aswell as gain some help from Naughty Dog. Uncharted could have continued to be exclusive and the other continue to be multiplatform. Some cross over missions (similar to what Assassin's Creed did) between them would have been nice.

Re: Sony Cuts PSVR2 Launch Sale Estimates by Half, New Report Claims

Beeeee-AHH-eer

It's disappointing Sony didn't do a State of Play for it.

Few reason why I don't want to pre-order
1) The price is too steep for something I don't use much of. If I used VR a lot then it would be a different story.
2) Didn't want to be early buyer for a headset for same reason as above.
3) Wanted to wait until there's a bigger selection of games .
4) When we go into hotter warmer, I burn up too much with the headset on. Certainly don't need games that make me sweat more

I don't want to see VR 2 going the way of the Vita. If they had made a new handheld I'd be all over that as I'd get more use out of it.

Re: Xbox, Nintendo Reportedly Join Sony in Skipping E3

Beeeee-AHH-eer

E3 has been dead long ago. First it went stale and then they slowly skipped it. Used to love watching them all and read everthing about the games but it's long outdated now and the State of Play/Showcase/Nintendo Direct are so much better. Especially when they come by surprise.

For years now E3 felt like it was using a lot of filler to take up the time. But having a proper State of Play, Showcase or Direct feels like they are actually ready to show things worth showing.

Re: PS5 Fans Speculate Uncharted Tease in New Ad Campaign from Sony

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I think it is a new Uncharted and will be Cassie. Maybe we would get a few games with her before they reboot the whole series.

At some point I'd like to see it being rebooted because Uncharted is Nathans game and for any other character I consider them be spin-off games. To change that is like changing Lara from TR. Will be very exciting to see the new protagonist and I hope we get one of Sully someday before we see a reboot with a new storyline.

I was hoping for another studio to take over if ND wasn't going to make any more but maybe some ND developers can still have a part in the development to guide it. The game is too good to let it die and NDs talent is better being put towards new IPs

Re: Naughty Dog May Move On from The Last of Us Like It Did with Uncharted

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I'm not sure about The Last of Us after Part 2. I'm just not sure I'm going to like the series as much going forward. For me part 1 is the best and unbeatable so there's no point continuing. It seems to be a game that hits it's limit after so many and then we all move on.

But Uncharted is something that can be rebooted and started over from scratch with a new story. If ND is done with Uncharted then Sony should set up an Uncharted studio that could continue the work. They could get that studio to continue with TLOU too but I see Uncharted living on longer and should be the main game.

Re: Poll: Did You Buy Forspoken?

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I had it pre-ordered but then cancelled it. Tried the demo a second time after the update and I just wasn't feeling the game. Seemed too high of a price for something I wasn't feeling and I need to cut down on my spending. Don't have the time for it anyway after buying a new Switch game and have a few PS5s to play before Hogwarts Legacy

Re: Sony Could Skip PS5 Pro for PS6, Says Social Media Scuttlebutt

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I'm not a fan of Pro models. Eventually the original model will get held back and struggle to handle games that are made for Pro consoles. PS4 did well but the Xbox One X had a big jump which left the original Xbox One struggling. I never upgraded, but i did noticed a LOT of issues with the original and peoples solution to all the slowness is to upgrade. I shouldn't have to upgrade it and the original PS4 still looked great.

I would prefer to see them just going new gen when games have hit the peak. Xbox seems to be going the phone upgrade way and Sony is holding onto the old traditional way. I'd like to see Sony release the PS6 next that allows us to continue playing our PS5 games on it until it's time to let the PS5 go and move on with PS6 games

Re: Poll: Would You Be Interested in a Detachable PS5 Disc Drive?

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I'm in mixed minds with it. On one hand I like the thought of being able to remove the disc drive easier should it go faulty but on the other hand it feels like a way to push out physical games to encourage more people to go digital. There was a time when I was looking to buy a new a new laptop but couldn't find one that allowed me to watch my DVDs so I don't want to see consoles doing the same. How many gens will they support those external drives before they stop doing them completely.

I don't like the thought of it taking up a USB port either so it would need to come with an extra port for it. I suppose I'd accept it more if we could just slide the drive in or slide another external HDD in instead to be rid of the messy wires

Re: Skull and Bones Delayed Yet Again as Ubisoft Cancels Three Games

Beeeee-AHH-eer

Such a shame. Shouldn't have been trying to make it too much like Assassin's Creed. This game was only going to be exciting after Black Flag. But since then we've had too many AC with ships so it became tiring. If they want this game to be successful then it should be something entirely it's own thing with freedom like Sea of Thieves. Need to get rid of the AC formula and just leave that for AC

Re: Forspoken Continues to Divide Opinion Following PS5 Demo

Beeeee-AHH-eer

Sometimes demos just don't do a game justice and i have found myself falling in love with a lot of games even though I hated their demos. I'm willing to give this one a go but the demo didn't impress me. It felt like a complicated game with a lot to learn and memorise. Even when I get the hang of it, it's one of those games i will forget the controls quickly when I stop playing for a while. The character talking so much is a bit of a deal breaker too.

Re: Rumour: Sci-Fi RPG from Sony Supposedly Leaked

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I'd be very excited for it. Would love to see a Sci-fi game from Sony. Haven't got to play much of Returnal as roguelike games are not my cup of tea but I loved the look an idea of it from what I played at the start. It felt like the closest they had to having something that looks like their own little Mass Effect. So maybe there is hope this game could be more my thing.

Re: More Tales Remasters Could Happen, Says Bandai Namco

Beeeee-AHH-eer

Xillia! That was my first that got me into the series. Didn't get round to playing Xillia 2 though so I'd like that added into a collection.

Also want Graces F, Hearts R and Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World. Pity they didn't include the sequel into Symphonia Remaster

Re: God of War TV Series Will Stay 'True to the Source Material'

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I see others talking about wanting to start with the Greeks but I think it might actually be better starting with the Norse. Most of us here have already played the older games so for us it makes sense to start from there. But here's why I'd say Norse is the better start.

It's more friendly towards people that never played or heard of GoW before. It's a father and son game, or in this case show. He's not that angry man out for blood. Norse is a great starting point and it will leave new audience (which the show is mainly aiming for) curious about his past. Wondering what are all those things he did. We could see his Greek times through flashbacks or even a prequel. First reel in new fans with his niceness then show the angry younger kratos of his past.

If they started with Greek then maybe some people will just look at it as a silly show of an angry man just out killing Gods and then pass on it.

Re: God of War TV Series Will Stay 'True to the Source Material'

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I'm looking forward to seeing a trailer for it but I can't help but feel Amazon and Netflix would all be the wrong choices to touch gaming IPs.

Paramount could do the job if they were to make it something like the Sonic movies. Those are amazing! Amazon make shows that just don't work very well for me. Like there's something a bit off with them and Netflix make good shows but then cancels future seasons too early. They also don't do many home media releases.

Now HBO.. that's my perference. TLOU looks amazing and they did a great job with Game of Thrones so I'd trust them the most. They could make a pretty good GoW with the Greeks

Re: Persona 3, 4 PS4 Ports Priced $20 Each, Add Difficulty Settings and Quick Save

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I think this will be the first time I'm not jumping into their games day one anymore no matter the price. Bet they will charge us £19.99 for it to match that $19.99.

There was the talk about Persona 3 having a remake and if 3 gets one, what's to stop P4G from also getting one. After launching P5 and then soon after P5R and then a PS5 version with no save transfer or free upgrade, I just don't want to buy their games at launch anymore.

  • I need physical anyway so will wait and see if that happens too.

Re: Horizon Online Multiplayer to Feature New Characters and Unique Stylised Look

Beeeee-AHH-eer

Very interested to see what this will be like! Just wonder about the "stylised" visuals too. I hope it doesn't end up looking like Fortnite but instead give it a nice style that it can look similar to the main games but slightly different.

It's good to see they are staffing up to make this, but I'd like to see them having a team that would work on Killzone. Maybe they need to grow the studio more to make room for that game too.

Re: Rumour: The Last of Us 3 Is In Development at Naughty Dog

Beeeee-AHH-eer

Not excited for it at all. Don't want to make a decision just yet until we at least see it but after the way Part 2 went, I don't think I'll be rushing to pre-order or even buy day 1.

Part 1 is just my favourite and Part 2 was good but nothing amazing. Can't see Part 3 being any better and it's most certainly not going to be worth £70 unless it can top Part 1, which imo it won't without Joel

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 456

Beeeee-AHH-eer

Trying to wrap up Pokemon Violet with the last few for the Pokedex and then I'm free to fully play something on PS5 again. Tried out the Forspoken demo and I'm in mixed minds about it. I could get used to it but it doesn't feel exciting like Final Fantasy or any other big Square Enix game. The controls could take some getting used to and I don't like the R2 and L2 buttons after using R1 and L1 for bringing up the menus. Just feels uncomfortable

Re: US Government's FTC Will Attempt to Block Microsoft's Activision Buyout

Beeeee-AHH-eer

Buying Activision isn't the answer for them. It may be good for their business to keep them going but it's surprising that fans are supporting it. Getting Activision or any publisher is like saying they can't make their own success so they give up trying. Why bother making games themselves when they can just buy another successful company to survive.

The best thing for Xbox is to focus on making great games of their own. Not to keep making more CoD and relying on that to keep the business running.

MS has been failing with their excluisve for years now. It's their own fault. They can fix that by stepping up and go make some great games of their own to pull in some new fans, grow their studios, buy some smaller ones and work on parterships to get games made.

Nintendo likes to buy studios that work on games that are very Nintendo. Sony buys studios that are pretty much family. MS should take notes from them. Buying up Activision and use their sucess to pass off as their own is just lazy and shows they don't know much about gaming. The only thing they are being good for is writing cheques
