Re: The Last of Us 3 Probably Happening at Some Point in the Future

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I'm happy the next game won't be Part 3. I'm just tired of the series now so I want to see something new. The remake and the remasters played a part in making me tired of it.

While I did enjoy Part 2, it left me feeling it didn't need to be made, it's not the same without Joel and I just want something new now so I'm not interested in a Part 3 anymore. Maybe trailers will win me over but I'd rather see something fresh and new.

Re: Soapbox: This Is Why Physical Games Are Still Important to Me

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I still buy physical and always will as long as they exist but I'm going to cut down more on how many i buy. I can't see myself buying digital anymore but I wouldn't rule it out entirely.

When I look at my collection I think to myself that is a LOT of games I won't go back to. Most of them will just sit there unplayed again. And if I spent that much on those games brand new, imagine being stuck with them in digital while paying more.

Since the price went up this gen, I've already been cutting down on how many games I've been buying and now I only see myself buying the best of the best while I wait for others to go on sale. But some games like Avatar have opened my eyes to say I'm making the same mistake and need to cut back on more. That is a game I should be waiting to enter PS+ instead.

Should a digital only future happen then I see myself just waiting for the games to go onto PS+ as I'd rather play it on that service than to buy digital. Sometimes I think about trading in a lot of my games that I won't go back to, like that Avatar. One thing that stops me is that I did that with every PS3 game when the PS4 came out and then regretted it so I rebought the games i want to replay. My PS4 collection is too big and I don't want to grow the PS5 library in the same way.

Re: Dragon's Dogma 2 Director Says Travel Isn't Boring, Your Game Is

Beeeee-AHH-eer

Travelling should be fun, fun enough for the player to feel they don't need or want to fast travel. But fast travel should always be included.

People have different reasons for needing or wanting that. Especially trophy hunters. Travelling won't be fun for everyone even if it was the best designed travelling ever made. Burnout and bordom is a thing too

Re: The Last of Us Multiplayer Project Is Officially Cancelled

Beeeee-AHH-eer

Good move! Single player is where most of Sonys studios shine best and to be stuck supporting a live service game rather than pushing on making new games would really suck.

Little sad that we won't get the multiplayer at all but the push for live service is the problem. A normal multiplayer would have been fine. Live service would have meant no more big campaign games for a long time (if they didn't go on to make another).

Bungie shouldn't even have a say in anything, just lay out guidelines but that's it. I think it's better to just leave the live service stuff to them and let ND aswell as their other first party studios to keep doing what they do best

Re: E3 Is Officially Dead

Beeeee-AHH-eer

It used to be amazing and felt like a second Christmas. Then it got stale. When Sony left, it was pretty much dead already. Was already dying before then

Re: Could Marvel's Blade Come to PS5? Bethesda Declines to Comment

Beeeee-AHH-eer

Personally I think the game is too far away and that Xbox hasn't locked it down yet. It may be made by an Xbox studio but it's not their IP. Marvel could be wanting it on PS too for that money.

I think that if MS was to have it locked down, then they may have to pay more to keep it exclusive to make up for the loss of PS sales or re-negotiate for it. Just because Spider-Man is exclusive to PS, it doesn't mean Blade will be exclusive to Xbox. Depends on the agreement they make

Re: What Was Announced at The Game Awards 2023?

Beeeee-AHH-eer

Great show with plenty of games to look forward to. Except for MS, they haven't shown a single thing of interest for me. Out of all the Marvel IPs they could have chosen, their studio is working on one I don't care for. Never liked that studio anyway so it makes sense they would pick something I'm not a fan of.

Re: The Last of Us 2 PS5 Remaster Announced, Has a Brand New Survival Mode, $10 Upgrade Path

Beeeee-AHH-eer

Don't think I'll be upgrading. I enjoyed the game but didn't love it. It's not a game I would be rushing back to for another play but I'd always go back to Part 1.

I really hate roguelike games and for that reason I can't get into Returnal so the No Return is useless to me. The only thing that attracts me is the Lost Levels and Dualsense features. Think I'll just hold out for PS+ as it's not wothy of a £10 upgade for me

Re: Sony Says PS Portal Wasn't Designed to Make a Profit

Beeeee-AHH-eer

It absolutely is, just not on it's own. Helps to sell more consoles, more games, PS+ Premimum (if cloud kicks off) and boost the sales in Japan.

I like to think that they created this device to test the demand for another handheld. All hope for one seemed lost after the Vita. Really hope they consider adding an SD slot in a newer model should the cloud streaming become a thing and let us download games

Re: Atlus Announces Inevitable Day 1 DLC for Persona 5 Tactica

Beeeee-AHH-eer

After the way they treated Royal for PS5 I'm happy enough not buying their games day 1 anymore. Will wait until the game is dirt cheap and when that little dlc goes on sale. That is if they don't create a complete edition later down the road. Chances are the game may end up on PS+ before I get round to buying

Re: Talking Point: As PS5 Turns 3, How Are You Feeling About It?

Beeeee-AHH-eer

Love the console and even more so for the controller. The only bad thing I would say about it is the games. I love the games but the games makes it feel like we're still in the PS4 days and some of them PS3 days. I'd like to see some unique games that makes the PS5 itself stand out that when we look back at it someday, it has a reason to stand out to be the better console than the ones before it.

Re: Video: PS Portal Unboxing Gives Us Our First Look at Sony's PS5 Handheld

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I had one pre-ordered just to have it secured but then cancelled it as it's not for me. Going to wait and see how it is before deciding to get one later on or not if Sony makes an OLED.

It looks like it could have made the perfect proper handheld for Sony or even be made into their own Switch. Had it been one of those then I'd have bought it in a heartbeat.

Re: Physical Games Represented Just 4% of Sales for PlayStation Last Quarter

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I still buy all my games physical. I don't buy digital much anymore. Haven't bought one in ages now and I can't see myself doing it if physical was to end. Maybe buy the odd game now and again but I'd rather play the games from subscription than to buy digital. Games that release digital but not physical are the ones I skip. Will only play them when they enter PS+ or get a physical release.

Re: Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Is a PS5 Masterpiece, According to Super Smash Bros Maker

Beeeee-AHH-eer

Spider-Man 2 has been incredible so I played it for hours and hours but so far I'm not fully feeling Mario Wonder yet and I find I can only play it in small amounts. Had the same problem with Yoshi's Woolly World too.

Haven't gotten far into it yet but I think I'm past 2D mario games now. Too many of those games feel too samely, just diffeent character. My mind might change as I play more but I've moved on from the 2D games and I prefer Mario as 3D. Sonic is one of those games I can take as both, but favour as 3D. For 2D Mario, Super Mario World is unbeatable!

Re: Marvel's Spider-Man 2 PS5 Director: This Game Is Worth the Money

Beeeee-AHH-eer

Not every game needs to be a big open world filled with so much filler. I'd take a decent length game with great quality over that. Will always come back for another playtrhough but a game like AC Valhalla will never be played again. As much as I loved Skyrim, I couldn't bring myself to go back to that a second time after sinking so many hours in

Re: PS5, PS4 Players Will 'Remain Welcome' As Xbox Closes $69 Billion Activision Blizzard Buyout

Beeeee-AHH-eer

It's good it's finally over and hopefully this pushes Sony to be and do better to stay on top and bring us great new PS games. Xbox never creates anything that makes the platform stand out. Most of their games were created by third party until they threw money at it to acquire and milk them and now they have made themselves look even more third party than ever.

At least some fans are happy to get games they have already been getting handed out to them on a service. Really weird to see them preferring that over seeing MS making a name for themselves with unique Xbox games.

Anyway, no need to buy their games anymore. Take out a month of GP, binge a few games and it saves money for other games. That's my plan.

Re: PlayStation's Push for Live Service Games Hasn't Been Going Smoothly

Beeeee-AHH-eer

They should let their developers create what they want to create. Expand on them more to bring back Killzone and Resistance for some shooters. They made great games with those before. Bungie can offer guidance and tips to improve them and keep the games fresh but they shouldn’t be deciding anything. They can’t even manage their own game very well. Games should be friendly and welcoming to new players aswell as returning ones.

Naughty Dog did some great co-op with Uncharted. Multiplayer was fun too. I feel listening too much to Bungie can do more harm than good. May aswell just give them the whole project to mess it up themselves rather than taint the original developers name with a mixed game

Re: Tomb Raider Developer Crystal Dynamics Hit with Layoffs as Embracer Crumbling Continues

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I still can't believe Sony didn't acquire the studio and the IP. I always seen Lara as a PS icon when I played tomb Raider for the first time long ago. I said it before but they would have been perfect to have continued the Uncharted series too while trying to keep both games different. Having Some cross overs between both games would have been amazing. Sony invest well into their studios and this one could have grown to expand rather than seeing lay offs.

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.0?

Beeeee-AHH-eer

Maybe wait until the DLC is on sale. Lost interest to make this game a need/want to play long ago now so I don't have that excitment anymore. I have a big collection of other games that have higher priority. The state this games launched in and the length of time it took to get where it is now made me move on
