Really enjoyed the movie. Watched it twice and I will continue to rewatch it again. Still not as good as the games but it's better not to compare them. Tom and Mark did a fine job, it just took me a while to get used to them. They certainly put Uncharted on the map so I hope we get a sequel and maybe someday if it's popular enough we could see actors better suited for the roles
That's a tough choice because I want them all equally so much. But I voted for VII Rebirth.
The reason for that choice is because we know how part 1 goes and it was so well made! So we have a good idea what to expect from part 2 gameplay.
Crisis Core lost the vote because it's a remaster. I would prefer to have a remake. Remaster doesn't change my feelings for the game, just loses that vote on here. lol. And we don't know what to expect from XVI so that loses the vote for that reason.
I haven't played the first one properly. Tried a bit of it twice on the PS3 and was quick to leave it as I didn't like it.
Took an interest in it again for PS4 because of a different game, which might have been Dragon's Age, but never found the time to play it. A lot has changed with my taste between PS3 and PS4 so I really need to go back play it properly. It's one of those games sitting in my backlog for a long time
Final Fantasy I choose you! Will watch both of course but Final Fantasy first. I don't think we will see much of Part 2 and that Crisis Core could be in the spotlight today. Maybe a small teaser at the end to announce the real show for September (perhaps for Sonys showcase)
If the Switch is getting the game then I don't see it being a Crisis Core remake. It would most likely be a remaster of the original or it could be that phone game Ever Crisis. Would much rather have a remake though
I'd say they are far too busy working on Final Fantasy XVI and VII part 2 to have the time for a proper remake for Crisis Core. It's already taking so long to get a part 2
I know a lot of people like to hate on it and think it's a waste of time and resources but ND are working on other projects too and this gives some of their developers something to work on until they are needed elsewhere.
The remake looks amazing so far. The price puts me off but I see myself playing it at some point. Love the first game so much I could replay it over and over.
There is nothing wrong with the remastered version so for most people that's all anyone needs. But the remake breathes new life into the game and will reach out to a new audience. Will pull in some hardcore fans too that want to play a better version of it. Price is steep for now but it won't be forever. So for anyone that doesn't want to buy it, stick with the remastered version! It's still a great game and there's nothing wrong with it. Treat it as if this remake never happened and enjoy the remaster one instead. ND are still working on the new projects so nothing is being lost.
Really hope we get it free. 60fps and the full controller works would make it amazing but that isn't enough to spend so much money on. Perhaps they could include PSVR 2 support and put us in the first person view of Joker
She looks amazing for the remake and matches her age. I prefer the older one though. The original that is not the one that looks like I was frozen for 20 years and just woke up
I always seen Kingdom Hearts as it's own thing but having those Final Fantasy characters just makes the game even more special. I love seeing them being a part of it. They don't need a big part in the game and leaving them out just makes the game feel less special. It takes away the merger between Disney and FF and just becomes Disney
I'm going to jump into this discussion regarding the size of the games. But I'd like to see the games to go back to how it used to be also.
As much as I enjoy the newer games, Origins is amazing for exploring and Odyssey is great for the combat. But Valhalla has shown me how empty the world is. There is soooo many collectibles all over the place. And this is the future of the game, keep making them bigger, make it grindy, more open empty spaces, forget what's happening in the story, etc. The reason why Origins exploring is so good is because Ancient Egypt is so interesting. But the same can't be said for many other places.
I'm fine with them making big open world games but i think they should be standalone warrior games while they focus on what made AC feel like a proper assassin game with many different ways to get stealth kills. If Ubi wants to keep making AC open world as it is, then it would be nice to have the older games every now and again in between releases
It's very manipulating. Wouldn't have made a difference to most of us that follow gaming news well but many that just follow Xbox news or took an interest will fall for it thinking it was exclusive. Seen comments before on social media from time to time when people don't realise a certain game is also coming out to the other platform too until after they used it as bragging ammo.
There's still time yet to impress us. If they are so confident it's going well, a little demo would be nice. We could feel differently when we play it ourselves so let us have a taste.
Probably just talk about the future roadmap for the game, a reminder about Origins update, and talk about some progress we all made. Not expecting anything for the next game but a small teaser, even just a clue would be nice.
@anoyonmus That's true but that's a Square Enix game which was released on the Switch 3 years before Xbox got it so who knows how long their deal could last. We don't even know what's happening with Final Fantasy 7 Remake for Xbox.
But SEGA wants Atlus games multiplatform so I don't think they would be locking PlayStation and Nintendo out.
It's great news to know that they are a thing! They didn't say anything about exclusively so it's most likely coming to PS4&5. Will continue to play them on my Vita until then.
Nintendo will no doubt wait until a Nintendo Direct to announce them and maybe after that we can hear about PlayStation
Any chance you could include a box to say if the games have auto-pop for the trophies?
Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is a very friendly game for auto-pops. You can upload the save from one platform and download it onto the other. So no matter which platform you play, you can get the auto-pop trophies for the other.
The other games I've played only work one way and they need the PS4 version to be played to get the auto-pops on PS5.
@KidBoruto Agreed. I enjoyed the Division so I'm looking forward to seeing if this will be like it. Would be interesting to see if we can build the clan from saving NPC survivers and gain supplies in competitive fights against real players.
Playing Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Been on and off with it for a good long while now. I've only been playing bits and pieces of it every now and again after I finish a main game before starting the next. So now I'm focusing more time on it so I can get the game marked off my list before I move onto the next thing
For the moment I voted Yep, but I'll wait for a discount. But my answer is really no. Price is way too high and I love the games so I'd be tempted to at some point when it's £20 or less. Maybe closer to £10.
I'm also a sucker for these games so chances are if a deal comes along I probably won't be able to stop my hands clicking on the buy button
I think most of us here aren't really the right audience for this. Just a small minority fans that want to play it at it's best and new players.
The PS4 remaster is fine for most of us. Nothing wrong with that game and if anyone doesn't have it yet, now is a good time to get it unless you want this better version. I get the feeling that Sony could end up delisting this game from the store and perhaps stop printing them if they haven't done so already. So anyone wanting it later down the road will have to settle for the expensive newer version.
The TV series will surely give this remake a nice boost in sales too so that's money rolling in for Sony. Just a shame they couldn't give us current fans an upgrade fee. Too pricey for me to buy it for a third time but maybe someday when it's cheaper and possibly bundled with the standalone multiplayer. The higher price and lack of multiplayer is a kick in the teeth but then again if they added the multiplayer to this one, it would be a distraction to the stand-alone game.
It was okay. I would have liked a big hype moment from it. Show something like God of War at the very end for example would have been that hype moment. Or even a Persona 4 Golden for PS4&5 even would have made it the greatest show
New IP and new Uncharted please! Drakes story may be done with Uncharted but it can also be rebooted to start again with him or make a spin off with Sully/Sam
Well earned indeed. I really enjoyed the game. Not as much as i love the first but this one was very well done too. Appreciated it more on the second play than I did for the first. On my first play there was plenty from the story I wasn't happy with.
I'm not paying that kind of money for the story. That's all I care about in them games these days. Really hope Sony will be able to add them to their PS+ service someday but if not then I'll probably just have to take out a month of GamePass and binge as many as i can when they get added. Haven't played the last two games. Until then, the beta is enough for me to get the multiplayer part out of my system.
I really hope the full game turns out to be amazing. I don't trust anything IGN have to say about this one with that exclusivity thing going on. Will be keeping my eyes out on future videos that's not IGN and see how others opnions are.
For me Odyssey is the better game when it comes to the gameplay and using the bow. But I prefered Origins for it's setting and story. Both of those are much better than Valhalla imo.
Just wish they made AC like they used to. As much as i enjoy these open world ACs, they feel like they could have been their own standalone warrior games.
I think it would ruin it for me. Really hated it in Zelda BotW and I really love Zelda games. There was a couple things that I disliked about the game and the stanima bar was one of them so I was quick to abandon the game for Horizon Zero Dawn instead. Even in Shadow of the Colossus it did my head in
I miss the old E3. The last good one I can remember is when Final Fantasy VII Remake was revealled.
E3 has gotten so stale that MS and Sony threw in a lot of filler. Reshowing things to death that the whole show was becoming so stale. And it felt like only Ubisoft was giving us a good show.
It used to feel like a second Christmas and my favourite time of the year. Used to just sit and read all the gaming news while rewatching trailers. But those days are long gone.
I think they just need to focus on giving us a great show when they are ready to. These days the E3 shows feels like they have to just shove stuff in there just for the sake of making an E3. A lot of surprise drops have actually been more exciting now than those past lot of years of E3. So I would rather they all just focus on their own thing on their own time.
I like the idea of them trying something new. Love the 2D games and some 3D games. But open world, it will be interesting to see how it is when it's finished. But that's the second video now that hasn't impressed me. The fight doesn't look exciting and in the last video he didn't seem to be running fast enough for such a big open world.
The thumbnail that is. The gameplay looks terrible.
It looks like a tech demo using Death Stranding as a playground. The game is full of this then this calls for a long delay and add the Chao Gardens if it's not already in it
I think a lot of Sony's IP are very interesting universe that shouldn't be locked to just gaming. Gaming should be the main focus though. But they can reach out to a whole new audience that can enjoy these stories too.
I really enjoyed the Uncharted movie. It's not as good as the games but the movie was very entertaining and it puts me in the mood to play the games again. It would be nice to see them finding more success from their IP and maybe build their own theme park with them someday. Imagine having a theme park for Horizon.
Even if us gaming fans don't like the series or movies, people that never played them before can enjoy them. Nothing changes for gamers but if you enjoy their shows/movies then it's a bonus win
The only mobile games I would like is with a new PSP/Vita
I wouldn't say no entirely if they were proper story driven games like what the PSP and Vita had. Can't see myself buying them though, especially at full price so a PS+ app would be needed.
Whichever company they decide to go with, the Titanfall ip would be good for Sony. It's the closest shooter to CoD and it's not like EA is doing anything with it. MS won't need it after the Activision deal goes through and Sony could use it to be competitive against CoD
Don't need them to enjoy some old classics. Especially if it's a game i really loved back in the day. Having trophies would help encourage me to put other games on hold and boot the game up sooner so it's not sitting in my waiting to play list
I agree with it. As much as I'd like to see the games on the service, I don't think it would make any sense for them and I certainly don't want them to deteriorate their games. They should stick to doing what they are best at and keep making those amazing games just as Nintendo should continue to do too. MS however, while some can be really good games, they aren't on that same level.
But MS have the pockets to take the hit. It's just penny in a jar for them. Look what they did with Halo, they tried to release it in a poor state and the backlash caused them to delay it. They launched the MP in an early access and then after that launched the campaign as it's own download (empty disc for physical), and it still lacks the coop. Compare that to the past games. And then there is Forza, locking the early access behind a paywall to sucker more money out of people from hype. 12 hours for early access should be enough, but they went 4 days and it caused players to lose out that weekend unless they pay up.
Sony shines best with the single player and if they added those to the service at launch, they will only end up hurting themselves. MS will keep paying up for now but give it time and they will start losing the quality even more. For now they will keep taking the hit on their own titles while they grow the service
