I love the gears of war series. Always seen it as the mascot for Xbox instead of Halo. Would have no doubt have bought it day 1 on PS5. No chance I’d buy an Xbox for it though and cba taking out GP. Busy with other games anyway.

I was almost going to not bother watching it in the first place but then thought just minutes before it started may aswell stick it on just to see games.

Mostly felt like not bothering because of all the excitement and all things PS went way downhill when they announced the end of physical. So there’s nothing really they can show to get me hyped (maybe new uncharted could work)

I am excited for Nintendos next week though!

That was two very boring shows. Japans was even worse that I stopped watching.

I’m not even excited to see it anymore since the whole dropping disc news. If it changes that after the showing then I’d buy day 1 physical. If it’s digital then I’ll wait for PS+ in the future

It’s a fine idea for a hybrid PS and Xbox. Can’t insert a disc into a handheld device but doing a transfer like that while docked could mean playing the games on handheld while continue to use the disc on a dock/home console. Better option than ending physical completely

Haven’t touched the PS5 in the last few weeks. All excitement and enjoyment for PS and future games went downhill since the news. Been busy playing the Switch 2 more than ever.

Ever since they announced the news, I haven’t felt the same for PS like I used to. Don’t feel any excitement for their future games. The God of War release date announcement was just a “meh who cares” moment for me. Went from being a hardcore fan to taking more of an interest in other hobbies instead and having a stronger interest with the Switch 2 (for now). Before the news I always loved every big game announcement from them and got super excited the digital only news left an awful stain I don’t care what they say or show anymore

It would be very strange if they didn’t. I hope they add the full game onto the disc and use two discs if needed.

If they and other publishers decide to go the digital way for PS but do a cartridge for Switch 2 then I have no problems abandoning PS for Nintendo. If all platforms including Nintendo is digital then I just wont buy the games at all and wait for them to be on service. Have a big enough backlog and many games waiting to be replayed that can keep me busy until then

I really loved DA Origins and thought it was one of the best games during PS3 days. Replayed it many times and enjoyed it like it was a first.

DA2 was a horrible disappointment and remains the game I never finished.

DAI was great and I loved every minute of it but it didn’t have that same greatness DAO had.

DAV, what a disappointment too. I was able to finish it but didn’t care for anything in it. Didn’t care for any character. Just felt like a fan made project.

I’d like more DA for sure but that comes out of love for DAO. And if they make any more I’d like to see more greatness like it. If they can restore the IP and make it great like DAO then I’d welcome it and cheer for it. But if they want to make more fan made projects then please don’t. Better to let the IP die and make something else.

I love the 7 remake series so I’m on board with it but not for 4-5 games. I’d liked it to be more like 7remake rather than rebirth as that game felt very dragging.

Should they make it, I just hope we don’t wait a long time in between games and it would be a nice project for new developers to work on before they take on newer bigger projects

It seems to me that Sony has become an American company that only puts America first since they lost focus in Japan. Prices for UK games have been ripping us off since PS5 launched. Perhaps they see PS being big enough in Europe without a strong competition they have no problems screwing us over and except us to just accept it

I don’t think they will reverse the full way to make it how it is now but they can do a little one to keep people happy and still try a new way to kill off physical. If handheld becomes a hybrid like the switch, maybe they will allow us to insert an external disc drive to that (when docked) and can only play physical when connected to it. They may even start doing codes in the box starting with 1-3 games and then expand over time for first party games and encourage developers to do the same

I don’t see myself going to PC but I wouldn’t mind having one if prices were to drop again sometime. I’d most likely buy the next PS but I won’t buy their games digital unless a game is less than £20 and I’d be very strict what I do buy.

I’m more likely to be a sub gamer and replay older physical games I’ve always wanted to go back and replay again. Digital buyers can fund the future projects while I enjoy what I have and whatever is on the sub. As long as third party games release physical on Nintendo, I’ll abandon PlayStation for that.

Hopefully when they return it comes with good news, undo the terrible news and removal of the person/people responsible for all the bad decisions this gen

I’d be buying waayyyyyy less games. I don’t do digital so I’d be mostly a subscription player. No more day 1 God of war or last of us or any other games for me in that case

That sounds like it's another step towards making their handheld. Handheld can't run discs and only digital could allow us to play purchases in handheld and home console.

That news sucks! And spells the end of me buying most of my games. An all digital console just means I'd be getting most of my gaming done through subscription and buy third party on Nintendo for as long as they support physical.

@LordOfTurnips I didn't say they don't want it to be good. Said "as good". And it makes perfect sense to me. Making it less good means more people will prefer what they want you to listen to.

One of the most common things I see people say why they prefer to listen in Japanese is because they can't stand the english voice actors. I think Assassin's Creed Odyssey did the same time, Alexios was annoying while Kassandra was the canon choice. One was in for an option to keep people happy but the other is the intended choice which needs to be better

I don’t like it. I get why they want the change but to me it’s a waste of time checking every week. At least the way before we could just download what we want and not everyone is going to speed run games to jump into the next game as soon as it’s added

Disappointing news. I loved the original voice actors. I guess maybe Atlus probably doesn’t want English to be as good to encourage players to listen in Japanese instead?.

I take bad English voices over Japanese any day. Can’t stand listening to something that doesn’t match subtitles/text

That’s a shame. Was no doubt going to be a day 1 buy from me. I guess I’ll just be waiting for a few worthy Xbox games to be on GP for me to sub for a month to play them

I love gears of war but I won’t buy an Xbox for it. Xbox doesn’t tick many boxes for games I enjoy. Time and time again they fail to do so. At most I’ll take a one month sub out to play it if I need to. But there’s no shortage of games on PS and Switch 2 so I won’t get upset over it. Only if Xbox ticks more boxes for games I enjoy then I might just consider getting one for an exclusive machine but they never make an attractive console for me to invest much

Very cool of then to give the option. Not everyone likes the sight of blood (or something similar to it) and turning it off can help those people enjoy the game better

Was a good show and Sony games are my highlights. Apart from Tomb Raider, all the other 3rd party shows didn't interest me so they felt like a bore.

That's sad. I had a love-hate thing with Destiny. I loved it when I'm hooked and it always hooked me when I came back. I hated their business model, removing what we paid for. Was really hoping for another game but at the same time Destiny 1 was far better even though I put hundreds of hours into both

I'm not interested in Marathon at all so I hope whatever they work on next, that it would be another exciting shooter in a similar universe to Halo/Destiny.

I don't get why people want them to work on some of Sonys past IPs (Killzone, Resistance, etc). I'd love to see those games return too but Bungie is too big of a name to be making someone elses past work and need to be focusing on making their own IPs with their own gameplay

Online play should be free like the PS3 days while PS+ essential have all the features that makes it better including streaming. But Sony will never go back when they are already rolling it in.

I’ve allowed my PS+ expire once and I’ll do it again. I mostly play single player anyway so it’s mainly the save files that’s an issue since we can’t back them up the same way as we do for PS4. ATM I’m making the most out of the extra tier which means buying less games and playing the waiting game instead to get my money worth for the subscription

Hell yeah! 1, 2 and FoB is far better than Second Son imo.

I never use voice chat and very very rarely use messages so I’ve no intention of doing that.

I really want the pro but money has been an issue for the last good while so I never upgraded. I’m disappointed I won’t get to enjoy supported games and GTA 6 and all with the pro so I’m going to have to settle for the current hardware and wait out until PS6. Maybe then GTA 6 will receive a PS6 upgrade version for a second playthrough

More Uncharted please!! If Cassie was the main character, I’d like to see her having her own train moment playing out similar but different

Either that or reboot it with a new series of story. The IP is too good to just leave it to die.

I don't buy much digital and it's rare when I do. But when I do i'd make sure the price matches. If one person gets it cheaper than me, then I wouldn't buy that game until it's either cheaper or on PS+.

I'm a physical buyer anyway so chances are I already own the game already. lol

Sucks for people that mainly play on PC and want their all in one machine with Switch on the side but it is what Sony wants it to be.

If you want a game bad enough then buy the console for it, if not then take the loss and move on. Theres no shortage of great games on any platform.

Good decision! Will sell more consoles even if people mainly play elsewhere. Focus on making plenty of great single player games pushing the PS5 to it's limit to keep PS brand strong

Need more uncharted please ND! Drakes story ended perfectly. So I think two options would be good for a next step.

1) continue on with drakes daughter and drake tags along like sully.

2) reboot with new adventures from a new beginning

I think it’s a good thing for them. It makes PS attractive and will still sell consoles even if people did end up moving to PC or the next Xbox.

If Sony kept releasing their games on PC, people won’t have much of a reason to buy PS and instead will play the waiting game for a PC release. Even if they didn’t release everything on PC, people would treat it as if the games would be released onto PC eventually while being willing to skip on it entirely as they might feel it’s not worth buying a platform for a game or few. They would look at it like release it on PC or I won’t buy at all.

So imo it’s better for them to keep single players and exclusives to their platform and just let multiplayer games go multiplatform

Good for him! Unfortunately I for one am not. I see ignorance, blindness and deafness. Many of us want more single player games but all they hear is how to milk us, live services get priority and shutting down a studio that are masters for remakes (which they themselves wanted lots of). How many more screwups do they have to make before they actually listen and stop that crazy live service push. Get the live services games elsewhere and leave the single player ones alone. Create or buy already successful studios for it

It's a disgrace buying them only to shut them down when a live service doesn't work out and they have even given them a chance to release something. Meanwhile one of their big studios (ND) can cancel a project after wasting so much resoruces without any punishment (not that I want to them to receive any)

I really hope the closer of this studio has nothing to do with Xbox games coming to PS because I remember in PS3 days we got a lot of nice smaller budget games from Sony only for them to be replaced with indie developers games on PS4 instead. Sony have clearly lost their way. Too wrapped up around the big hitters and live service they are not listening to what we want.

PlayStation is always my main console and Nintendo only for exclusive. If PS6 goes digital only then I’m changing that if Nintendo continues to get physical. It would be Nintendo for everything and PlayStation for exclusives on deep discounts.

They need multiplayer games including them onto single player games like the PS3 days and add skin season passes aswell as events to keep people hooked. Put the prices up and I’ll not buy until it’s cheap.

I’m interested in change. The old game’s still play well and continues to exist

Amazing news! Really love the first game

It’s nice to see they are trying new things for different experiences for different audiences but that game so far isn’t doing it for me. It’s their job to win us over and I remember Helldivers 2 got a lot of hate aswell as got mocked but ended up being a hit. So time will tell if this is another one of those moments.

I wasn’t a fan of the Lego game and so far not impressed with this one. Not everything they make will be for me. Just makes me think back of the great times when killzone never disappointed.

Don’t like the artstyle. Looks like horizon in Fortnite. So I’m out.

PS5 for me. First game blew me away, second game was great but the open world also burned me out rather than keeping it exciting so I’m not tempted to replay it again so it remains to be seen how the third game will be. If it’s more like the second part with open world then I don’t think I’d be rushing to buy at launch but we’ll see.

Not sure yet if it’s for me. I’ve been tempted to get many times but I want a proper handheld with storage in it to download and I’m not sure what I’d do with it later if Sony did come out with one.
