That's sad. I had a love-hate thing with Destiny. I loved it when I'm hooked and it always hooked me when I came back. I hated their business model, removing what we paid for. Was really hoping for another game but at the same time Destiny 1 was far better even though I put hundreds of hours into both

I'm not interested in Marathon at all so I hope whatever they work on next, that it would be another exciting shooter in a similar universe to Halo/Destiny.

I don't get why people want them to work on some of Sonys past IPs (Killzone, Resistance, etc). I'd love to see those games return too but Bungie is too big of a name to be making someone elses past work and need to be focusing on making their own IPs with their own gameplay

Online play should be free like the PS3 days while PS+ essential have all the features that makes it better including streaming. But Sony will never go back when they are already rolling it in.

I’ve allowed my PS+ expire once and I’ll do it again. I mostly play single player anyway so it’s mainly the save files that’s an issue since we can’t back them up the same way as we do for PS4. ATM I’m making the most out of the extra tier which means buying less games and playing the waiting game instead to get my money worth for the subscription

Hell yeah! 1, 2 and FoB is far better than Second Son imo.

I never use voice chat and very very rarely use messages so I’ve no intention of doing that.

I really want the pro but money has been an issue for the last good while so I never upgraded. I’m disappointed I won’t get to enjoy supported games and GTA 6 and all with the pro so I’m going to have to settle for the current hardware and wait out until PS6. Maybe then GTA 6 will receive a PS6 upgrade version for a second playthrough

More Uncharted please!! If Cassie was the main character, I’d like to see her having her own train moment playing out similar but different

Either that or reboot it with a new series of story. The IP is too good to just leave it to die.

I don't buy much digital and it's rare when I do. But when I do i'd make sure the price matches. If one person gets it cheaper than me, then I wouldn't buy that game until it's either cheaper or on PS+.

I'm a physical buyer anyway so chances are I already own the game already. lol

Sucks for people that mainly play on PC and want their all in one machine with Switch on the side but it is what Sony wants it to be.

If you want a game bad enough then buy the console for it, if not then take the loss and move on. Theres no shortage of great games on any platform.

Good decision! Will sell more consoles even if people mainly play elsewhere. Focus on making plenty of great single player games pushing the PS5 to it's limit to keep PS brand strong

Need more uncharted please ND! Drakes story ended perfectly. So I think two options would be good for a next step.

1) continue on with drakes daughter and drake tags along like sully.

2) reboot with new adventures from a new beginning

I think it’s a good thing for them. It makes PS attractive and will still sell consoles even if people did end up moving to PC or the next Xbox.

If Sony kept releasing their games on PC, people won’t have much of a reason to buy PS and instead will play the waiting game for a PC release. Even if they didn’t release everything on PC, people would treat it as if the games would be released onto PC eventually while being willing to skip on it entirely as they might feel it’s not worth buying a platform for a game or few. They would look at it like release it on PC or I won’t buy at all.

So imo it’s better for them to keep single players and exclusives to their platform and just let multiplayer games go multiplatform

Good for him! Unfortunately I for one am not. I see ignorance, blindness and deafness. Many of us want more single player games but all they hear is how to milk us, live services get priority and shutting down a studio that are masters for remakes (which they themselves wanted lots of). How many more screwups do they have to make before they actually listen and stop that crazy live service push. Get the live services games elsewhere and leave the single player ones alone. Create or buy already successful studios for it

It's a disgrace buying them only to shut them down when a live service doesn't work out and they have even given them a chance to release something. Meanwhile one of their big studios (ND) can cancel a project after wasting so much resoruces without any punishment (not that I want to them to receive any)

I really hope the closer of this studio has nothing to do with Xbox games coming to PS because I remember in PS3 days we got a lot of nice smaller budget games from Sony only for them to be replaced with indie developers games on PS4 instead. Sony have clearly lost their way. Too wrapped up around the big hitters and live service they are not listening to what we want.

PlayStation is always my main console and Nintendo only for exclusive. If PS6 goes digital only then I’m changing that if Nintendo continues to get physical. It would be Nintendo for everything and PlayStation for exclusives on deep discounts.

They need multiplayer games including them onto single player games like the PS3 days and add skin season passes aswell as events to keep people hooked. Put the prices up and I’ll not buy until it’s cheap.

I’m interested in change. The old game’s still play well and continues to exist

Amazing news! Really love the first game

It’s nice to see they are trying new things for different experiences for different audiences but that game so far isn’t doing it for me. It’s their job to win us over and I remember Helldivers 2 got a lot of hate aswell as got mocked but ended up being a hit. So time will tell if this is another one of those moments.

I wasn’t a fan of the Lego game and so far not impressed with this one. Not everything they make will be for me. Just makes me think back of the great times when killzone never disappointed.

Don’t like the artstyle. Looks like horizon in Fortnite. So I’m out.

PS5 for me. First game blew me away, second game was great but the open world also burned me out rather than keeping it exciting so I’m not tempted to replay it again so it remains to be seen how the third game will be. If it’s more like the second part with open world then I don’t think I’d be rushing to buy at launch but we’ll see.

Not sure yet if it’s for me. I’ve been tempted to get many times but I want a proper handheld with storage in it to download and I’m not sure what I’d do with it later if Sony did come out with one.

That’s good it’s finally coming to an end. Season 2 was meh and I hope this news also means there’s no part 3 game in the works. After killing off Joel I’m happy enough to see the developers moving on from that IP for good.

Not a fan of message like that being forced into people’s face. It comes off as desperate and pushy. To win people over into upgrading is to have a great big showcase. The games do the convincing. If they’re not winning people over, then maybe they haven’t been making the right games.

Those kind of messages should be emails to 3rd party publishers to encourage them to take full advantage of the current hardware and let last gen support go.

Should be up to the studio and developers if they want to use it. All I ask is for them to be upfront about it so I know if I’m buying an AI game or not.

Personally I’m not interested in AI and if others agree then we don’t have to buy. It would be the studios own fault if a game does poorly

Need to make games Japanese fans want. Take some notes from Nintendo what they like and make their own thing. Maybe consider making a Snoopy themed console too

Raising the price to the rest of the world only to make it cheap in Japan doesn’t look good. Understandable why the cheaper price there, but also feels like the rest of the world are paying higher prices so they can do so

Jesus and I thought BO6 was bad. I remember the game used to create massive hype that I couldn’t even sleep at night from the excitement. Now they make such slop I forgot this one was releasing or even existed.

Can say I’m glad I’m not a CoD fan anymore. Was a massive fan during CoD4, WaW, MW1, 2, BO1 and 2 days so those will always be the best in my eyes.

Japan shows never looked interesting to me so I had very low expectations. Was watching for a bit, then muted it and then turned it off to play a game instead. Decided I’d just catch up after.

Incredible and game changer! I hope the premium is just a tester to start with as I’m not a fan of that service. Too expensive for so little. Personally I think they should add the feature to extra or all tiers to get more engagement into their ecosystem.

Nope. Love the look of it and I enjoyed running around exploring Springfield but I still hate the Fortnite gameplay.

Need a new Hit and Run game! Hope Disney is watching this success but only to get new games, not an extension to Fortnite. I’d take a remake or even a remaster to start with.

I keep cross play off. None of my friends play on PC, they play on consoles. So I’ve no interest in playing against PC. The only time I’m interested in turning it on is when the game is old and lacks players. Crossplay should only be on by default for consoles only otherwise should be off by default. People looking to play with PC buddies should turn it on themselves and join their servers

I’m not happy paying for multiplayer at all but I don’t think Sony would drop it. People didn’t abandon Xbox 360 for PS3 online. They happily supported it. So I don’t think Sony will need to worry about it.

But I do think they should drop it. And only charge for PS+ for the extras including providing a great service with some bonuses.

With free to play games not requiring it, I think they could increase their numbers by making it free. Not everyone wants to pay for online so they stick to single player. But if it was free then maybe they will be more numbers for engagement.

I’m not a fan of horror but there are some I enjoy. Prefer to play something Halloween themed for Halloween times even if it’s an event for games I enjoy doing one. Infamous Festival of Blood was perfect back in the PS3 days.

I’d like to play Luigi’s Mansion that’s recently added to Nintendo Online sub as it’s my favourite of the series. But nowadays it’s hard to make time for Halloween timed games due to lack of time so I tend to focus on what I’m already playing. I’d say the Alpha Pokemon with their red creepy eyes (in Pokemon Legends ZA) is scary enough looking to be my Halloween game for this year.

I finished the campaign in the previous free trial and thought it was very disappointing. Battlefield 6 campaign reminds me of the enjoyment CoD used to give in the original MW, WaW, BO1 and BO2 did.

Sad to see what a disappointment it’s become. Have no interest in the multiplayer or zombies anymore. Zombies used to be amazing in WaW but then declined since and to put zombie missions into the campaign too, that just made dislike zombies more.

Nice! The campaign is the only part I play from CoD since I stopped playing its multiplayer years ago. Will play the campaign for free but not interested in buying BO6 or 7. Didn't buy COD since the MW2 2022 and I have my eye on Battlefield 6. My PS+ ran out so I'm waiting on a sale before I buy Battlefield 6.

I do see a lot of samely moments and it looks worse when 3rd party do it too near the same time making it a bit crowded. For example there was a lot of father and son/daughter moments. And then third party like A plages tale comes along with a sister and brother that felt more of the same.

I don’t mind the samely stuff as long as the story is good. But lately I’m feeling Sonys sequels stories are not as good as their first. The gameplays, graphics and cutscenes are superior to their first but the story of the sequels don’t hit me the same way. They are more forgettable or have less of an impact to suck me in and make me care.

Sony studios should keep doing what they do but at the same time I’d like more games that stand out to do things different like add some shooters into the mix and take a little break from that father - son/daughter moment. And I don’t mean to change the father to a mother.

No but i will someday. Reasons for why I'm not buying yet

1) price is too high for me and i'm cutting back to save money for more imortant things

2) Don't like Samauri settings. That alone put me off. Everything looks great in the game and the wolf even won me that normally I'd have bought it. But as soon as I see Samauri, I get put off. Bought the first game out of hype but that was a different time when money wasn't an issue.

3) Bad timing, takes me longer to beat a game nowadays. Pokemon is out in 2 weeks so I'm getting that instead

4) I liked the first game but didn't love it enough to play it a second time.

5) Got my fill for Samauri for now. Love the Assassin's creed games so I bought Shadow out of love for the series. Gameplay is great but Samauri was a dealbreaker and I've no interest in playing any more of it after finishing it. Wont be tocuhing the extras for that. Even Rise of the Ronin demo bored me that I didn't play past the weapon selection

Hell yeah! Sounds good to me. I'm all for an egyptian game but at the same time I'd like modern Greek ones again sometime.

I’m undecided if I’ll buy or not. I liked the first game but not enough to play it more than once. The gameplay was great but I don’t like samurai settings. Always found it to be a dealbreaker that prevents me from liking a game more.

This game and the trailers isn’t selling it to me to buy except for the wolf. For me that wolf is the only thing that makes me want it. So I think I’m more towards waiting for a steep sale or PS+

I’d love a hybrid. I do most of my gaming with the TV but being able to play handheld suits me better today than it did 5 years ago. It would help squeeze extra game time in nowadays

Looked awful to me

Battlefield for me. Haven’t been a fan of shooters or even multiplayer games in a good while now. But battlefield beta was a lot of fun and could pull me back. CoD felt so stale for a long time and i only like it for the campaign but the price puts me off buying for that.

I’ve no doubt CoD will come out on top but Battlefield will give it good competition again and be the better game imo
