Not for me. I've never been much of a Dead Space fan and felt like I had to push myself through them when I played them on PS+. I've enjoyed the third game though but only because it had co-op.
I've moved onto the new Pokemon game. Got the platinum for GOWR yesterday. What an amazing game it was! Would love to play it again another day with photo mode
I think they should focus on their own studios first before they start thinking about adding Activision. If they can't manage their own studios well enough, how are they going to manage Activision or how will Activision help them get any better?
Most of Activision games are good, fun or average. Call of Duty may be the most popular shooter but MS have made successful shooters of their own and they are looking to add another to their library? You'd think they would work on their own studios first and make games for fans that you know.. don't care for shooters but want great single player games. None of Activision's studios will make MS any better. If they want to be better they should stop being lazy and focus on their own studios first. Sony and Nintendo work hard for their success. MS is throwing money at others success and then milk them.
I find it to be very strange that Stray and Horizon Forbidden West beat GoW. Curious to know how many PS fans actually did the voting. As much as I enjoyed HFW it's not something I'd call best storytelling. Gameplay I'd get but not storytelling. And Stray is a very strange choice for the best game. Can't have been many PS voters
I wouldn't say I'm disappointed but I would have liked the game to have it. I've already invested a LOT of hours into it and have no intention of doing it again. If the game had a NG+, I would have had an easier time replaying the story. Without it I won't play the game anymore as I'm not doing that grind all over again
God of War for me. Then Horizon Forbidden West in second place and A Plague Tale in third.
For the movies, as much as I enjoyed Uncharted, I need to go for Sonic for exceeding my expectations
I'm a bit confused with the narrative section. Never played Elden Ring but last I heard it's a full open world freedom but didn't hear it having much of a story so why is it even there. Odd choice when there are other story games that could be more worthy. For that category God of War and A Plague Tale is the two main competitors
Looks amazing! A Potter fans dream game! There's still a lot more they could do with it to make it even better but it looks like a great start so maybe a sequel will improve from it and add other things to it. Would really love to have class schedule, Quidditch and Triwizard Tournament
Maybe we aren't suppose to be subscribing to Premium but intended for us to go for Extra instead. Maybe Premium is only for people that want to play the classics from time to time but not something to sub to for a whole year.
I really dislike timed exclusive stuff. It always hurts someone on another platform. Only reason why I see Sony doing this is because they want PlayStation to be the place we play Final Fantasy and perhaps it worries them if the game was to go onto Game Pass day 1 then PlayStation wouldn't be seen as that place. They also get the advantage of being seen as the only place to play.
I don't play Destiny but I kept it installed on my PS4 for whenever I do feel like jumping back on. Can't bring myself to download it on PS5 as I need my storage for other games and it can't run fron an external HDD unless its a PS4 version. So it's very very unlikely I'd ever download it onto the PS5 SSD
Wasn't fully set on buying day 1 and wanted a good deal later down the road with a bigger selection of games. But that price just made that even easier.
Loved every moment of it! Ran really well on my PS5. Didn't notice anything bad to ruin my enjoyment. Looking forward to doing another playthrough but can't decide to do it now before I get swamped with other games or wait for another patch to play it at it's best.
I really enjoy taking pictures in the games I enjoy the most. Just wish I was good at it and that my photos didn't look bad when I put them onto the laptop. They always end up looking darker and less attractive compared to the TV.
i think we will see a third game but I'd rather see a new IP and a new Uncharted. I enjoyed Part 2 but nowhere close to the same level as Part 1. So I think Part 3 will only drop lower than Part 2. It's not the same without Joel.
It could be possible to see Abby again. Perhaps in the next game it could see Ellie and Abby having to work together to survive
I always pick the 60fps option when it's available. I don't get put off with 30fps so it doesn't stop me from buying or enjoying a game. I do feel it's the generation that we need our gameplay to feel improved so developers should try to at least get 60fps in. Give us the option for better performance, resolution or balanced.
Finished it. Loved the game so much! One of my top favourite games of the year. I'm divided about future games. On one hand I want another so much and on the other I don't want the games to become stale.
I think I might take another couple games but let enough time pass by so that it doesn't end up feeling stale
I'm too early into the game to have a say about any further sequels but at the moment in my mind I'd like to see another. Even if it's to end as a trilogy. A part of me doesn't want to end from here as I love the first game and so far enjoying the sequel. The other part doesn't want it to be milked to death but someday in the future I'd really like to play the game again at their best.
The first game has a great story and it's something they should consider making into a series/movie to reach a bigger audience that don't play games
I was expecting it to be between the £150 - £180 range but for £210 I'm so very far out. Wasn't going to buy it had it been £150 but instead would have waited for a sale.
Can't wait! I'm already sold for day 1 and part of me doesn't want to watch so I could enjoy it properly when it launches. But i don't think I have the willpower to look away
So far I'm not really liking it. The collectibles are cool and I like the idea of those. But one thing that puts me off is that you see one you like, or want to collect them all, then it pushes us to boot up something we don't want. If I'm not earning coins for doing those too, then what's the point collecting them. They don't feel rewarding
The coins is the main problem for physial buyers as we don't get any. Therefore at the moment Nintendo is way ahead with a better system. Good for digital buyers, useless for physical.
If they want to give gamers a choice, perhaps they should allow PS Plus onto Xbox.
Having Game Pass on PlayStation would mean Xbox will have to leave the console business and just become the new SEGA with streaming. Makes no sense adding Game Pass to PlayStation when they won't allow PSN or Plus onto Xbox.
Gamers do have a choice. They just sound a bit bitter like they want to dip into the PlayStations playerbase that didn't care enough to buy an Xbox for their service
Just a thought but I wonder if the poor attempt with the Premium could be with people stacking PS Now before the new tiers launched. Maybe they need those people to pay the full price and not the cheaper option. So until some or most of those expire, we may not see much of an improvement.
There is also the 50% off in the UK last year they could be waiting to expire too. Should be ending either this month or November.
I was busy playing the PS4 lately but yesterday I noticed the trophies being different on the PS5. Accidentally came across it being avilable while I was playing a game and could reveal all the hidden ones with toggle. No more pushing square in each individual list. Such a handy feature!
I'm not buying it. MAG is a game that was ahead of time. Nowdays we have games with big player counts, massive maps and have cross-play. If anything should have a remake for being ahead of time then that would be one of them.
Would really love to jump back in but after hearing a rumour that there is a possibility of a Persona 3 remake, it put me off for the meantime until we see what happens with that. Knowing Atlus, it could happen and it makes me wonder could Persona 4 end up having one too after that.
Don't like that the games are digital only so holding off while I wait to see what's happening with the P3 Remake means I'd also be waiting to see if they do a physical version of those two. And if not, then someday I'd get them cheap.
The way they handled Persona 5 is another reason why I'm holding off too. First they did a Persona 5 then a Royal soon after on the same console and then a PS5 version without an upgrade or save transfer. They have put me off day 1 launches and pushed me into the wait a bit longer path instead.
I've been playing a bit of it again on the PS5 recently and thought to myself it still looks amazing and feels great to play even after HFW so it's really not needed at all.
Love the series but the remake/remaster isn't for me. There are plenty of other IPs I'd have prefered to see instead but more importantly new games.
I get that they want to do it for the TV series but it feels like it's just filler while they work on other games. Now it's like they are leaving us hungry so that makes it tempting to buy the remake/remaster when the TV series comes out but on the other hand I want something new and if i don't get anything new to play then it only sends me to their competitors to fill that void. That is if there isn't enough third party games I'm interested in (but I do have a big backlog to work on so I'm good!)
Maybe it was a mistake to make a PS5. Probably should go into a new generation the phone way like Microsoft did with Xbox. So they should have made a PS4 Super Pro or a PS4 Pro 2. PS5 already feels like it's made for a new gen which hasn't properly started yet. So it feels like we are just playing games on it like it's still part of the PS4 generation only that it looks different
I'm looking the PS5 to be a brand new traditional gen with new games made for it that last gen can't run. But the way things are going, the PS5 is basicially just another PS4 that complicated things like BC, save transfers, which version of the game we play, etc.
I don't mind them making games for the PS4, especially if it's multiplayer but when it comes to single player games, I don't like that the PS4 will hold back the PS5
I always wanted a Bloodborne series! Maybe I'm in the minority but I'd love a live action one. An animated one would be welcome too but a live action might pull us into the atmosphere better while animated might come off as a cheap and poorer version of the game. With the right actor and great cgi, it coud look amazing and pull us in. If a live action worked out then it could make a perfectly good studio tour for tourist to visit and feel inside that world too..
I'm interested in some co-op but I'd like it if they make it for a third game. Won't be buying the remake/remaster if true.
If this ends up true then I think I might start cutting back on buying Sony's games since they love remastering and remaking. I want new stuff, not repeats of what I've already played.
Would love to have more! Such a great game and it remains as my GoTY so far until God of War comes.
I'm in mixed minds which game I prefer between this and HZD. The gameplay, open world, flying, more monsters are all so much better in this one. But I prefer the story from HZD and it feels a bit less bloated so it's hard to say which one has the better size. Big open world can be a lot of fun to explore but sometimes smaller is better, especially when you've already done the exploring and want a simplier play.
It took me ages to find better weapons for this game so I felt HZD did it better and more simple with that. Taking down the Thunderjaw was more satisfying in HZD too as HFW world is so big with a lot of shelter.
Then there is the cauldrons, in HFW, there was nothing in the game that was pushing me towards doing those. I forgot about them while I was off doing side missions making them my priority. Eventually I realised I should be doing the cauldrons so it wasn't until near the end of the game I started those. Would have been so much better to have done them sooner.
Both have good points and bad points that makes one better than the other. But this is a great sequel and I want more!
