@Oram77 not sure if anyone has already answered your question, but it's not been confirmed yet. However everyone "in the know" is saying it's happening and they always do one in September before TGS, so I'd say there's a 90% chance. And I too would love some Saros gameplay
Got one for Christmas 1998 and it's probably the game that truly made me fall in love with video games, although I played the megadrive and snes before. Games such as Metal gear solid, Final fantasy 7-9, the legend of dragoon, resident evil, silent hill, plus the original gta. Still one of my favourite consoles of all time. Although the PS2 remains my all time favourite
I think this is good casting tbh and think she'll do a good job. The bigger question is whether they can actually make it work this time, with a good story. Although I actually have a soft spot for the first Angelina Jolie Tomb raider
@Oram77 if that's the case that's a real shame. It being set in Japan makes it even more interesting to me, and I love the US set silent hill games. But as a big fan of Japanese horror, I've wanted a silent hill game set in Japan for many years
@Oram77 yeah although I love 3, 2 is still my favourite and still holds up. Although it is worrying how the story and themes are even more prevalent now than before, when some of the stuff seemed ridiculous at the time
Picked the wrong month to cancel my subscription, gonna have to resub. Mortal kombat 1! Unicorn overlord. Just them 2 alone are worth being subscribed for. Been on my list for a while
Honestly, I'm glad. I enjoyed the original but felt there was more they could have added side content wise. And in terms of time, I will happily just play when I can for as long as it takes. I'm not one who has to be able to finish a game in a couple of sittings and the finish with it
@PuppetMaster that's a great idea, so many good choices for games to be turned into anime. And the Castlevania and Devil may cry anime have shown how well they can do if treated with care. My girlfriend loved the DMC anime and she only has a passing interest in either anime or video games
See every now and again I pop in the Fortnite and play with my son. I'm not a massive fan, but the trailers are always exceptional and I do enjoy some of the crossovers
@Anya-chan tbh I really liked the small town American setting but I love the idea of them changing the setting to Japan. You're right about needing more Asian settings, especially for horror games. I love the Fatal frame games for this reason
@Anya-chan God I hope so. I loved the SH2 remake, and I'm a fan of these Japanese settings. And the fact that the story is being written by the Higurashi: when they cry writer fills me with hope for the story
@TrollOfWar yeah I hope it sells well tbf. I enjoyed the 20 or so hours I played of it. Also I have a couple of friends, neither of whom are massive gamers, and they loved it, both completing it multiple times, so it definitely has its fans
I use YouTube on my PS5 every single day, and often use Amazon prime and Netflix too. I do have the streaming services on my TV but they definitely run better and with fewer issues on the app on playstation
Not a bad month tbh. Looking forward to finally playing Banishers:ghost of New Eden. I remember the reviews being mixed but that it's generally a decent game with a good story. And now they've fixed it, Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the best RPGs in recent memory
I hope this is true. I still enjoy Assassin's creed, but that was the last time I truly found it a must play. And actually to this day, Black flag is the only one I ever finished
Not surprised. It's one of the biggest franchises in gaming and the last 2 mainline games, as well as the 2 and 4 remakes (3 remake was disappointing but still a fun game) have been fantastic
I watched the 1994 a few weeks ago, for the first time in over 20 years. It's not a good film, but it's still entertaining and has some great lines, and obviously Raul Julia steals the show. It's definitely not as bad as people make it out to be. I thoroughly enjoyed it
@Propaperpusher that's fair enough. I genuinely don't know how people can get bored of Death stranding, I thought it was a brilliant world to explore and I loved the story, but each to their own
My favourite of the year is definitely Expedition 33, but I feel that Kingdom come deliverance deserves some special praise. One of the best open world games I've played, although admittedly I can see why the overly "realistic" nature woukd put people off
I might snap this up. I missed out on atlas during the ps2 era, although my friend did show me nocturne back in the day and also digital devil saga, but I only played them briefly. It's only after playing P4 golden on the ps vita, back in 2012/2013 that I started becoming a fan of Atlus' work
@JB_Whiting oh yeah I completely agree, a more nuts and bolts look at the game running was definitely needed after the absolute strangeness of the other trailers
@JayJ yeah he does seem to be getting more weird but I'd hardly say anything in mgs 2 or 3 was anywhere close to grounded. In 3 there's a man who shoots bees and also someone who's essentially dead. And mg2 has a literal vampire in it. Although they do go back on that by mentioning nanomachines in subsequent games. But I completely understand why people may have gone off his more recent work, I just personally still love it
@JB_Whiting to be fair I'm glad we're finally getting gameplay, but I get why he does the "arty farty" stuff as ypu say. MGS 2 and 3 are some of my favourite games of all time, and a big reason for that is the story, especially how weird it gets
@Mattock1987 if they did, they hate gaming (which based on the Internet, most gamers do) . Although there was arguably no "massive" announcement there was a variety of games shown off and many of them looked fantastic
This quickly became one of my most anticipated games. I love Arc system works and I'm a big fan of Marvel (even the "bad" ones are entertaining) so to have Arc developing a new Marvel fighting game is a dream come true. I wad hoping for a new Marvel vs Capcom, but this is even better, I think
I'm glad they're doing that. Price of Persia the lost crown was fantastic and deserved more sales. This is a good idea as a spin off, and then the next mainline God of war will be back to normal I imagine
This is fantastic news. I hope they actually have the funds and infrastructure to survive and thrive and actually release the games that they love to make
@themightyant I agree to an extent, but usually by this point the console would be a lot cheaper and the games will be purchasable at a hig discount. Obviously it's a little different this time with the PS5 prices somehow increasing. But you can still pick up a lot of the games really cheap now, so I still think it would be worth getting one
I do think that the console is a bit expensive for its age, but it does have a great catalogue of games, most of which are a few years old and therefore can be picked up second hand for cheap (if you have the disc version) or have deals regularly on the PS store. And we still have plenty of games to come, such as Death stranding 2, Ghost of Yotei, hopefully Wolverine. And of course GTA 6
I hope the rumours about project 007 being there is true. It's been one of my most anticipated games since it was announced, after how much of a fantastic game Hitman 3 was
A new death stranding trailer (probably launch trailer) is a guarantee, but I'm wondering if we coukd maybe get another trailer or reveal of something from OD
I liked Battlefront 2, but if I was to go Star wars games (which I might thanks to Andor), I'd rather play the Jedi games, or even rogue squadron, which I really enjoyed. Very happy for the people who are back into Battlefront though. It's definitely improved a lot since release
Looking forward to playing this on PS5. I played it a little back on gamepass when it first came out but fell off it. It's definitely not as bad as people say though, I think it's better than Fallout 4 personally. But Bethesda have been surpassed by newer RPGs such as The witcher 3, Cyberpunk, Elden ring, etc. Heck, even Red dead 2 has some great RPG elements
I like the fact that 2K, because they are owned by Take-Two interactive, are actually allowed time to make their games and not forced to release their games until they're ready. Even the sports games don't have to follow quite such a rigid annual schedule. The benefits of having a ridiculous amount of money I suppose
I must admit I never played it back in the day, although I remember seeing it all the time in Blockbusters. But all I hear about is how good it is, so I'd definitely be up for picking these up. And I love to support older franchises, so that we get new games greenlit
@slips666 I am looking for more small games from them, but I love their AAA stuff. Rebirth was easily my favourite game from last year, and I really loved 16 too. Be nice if they coukd find a balance like other companies manage (Capcom seem to be really good at this)
Still have this game on my backlog, but it's great that it's coming to another audience soon . I recently bought a portal so have been playing a lot more games portably, and this looks like a perfectly acceptable way to play this game too
Can't wait for this. I think Virtua fighter is slept on as a franchise, compared to the likes of Street fighter, Tekken and MK, but Virtua fighter 4 is one of my favourite fighting games of all time
@Alps_Stranger that's the one thing that worries me, all the writers leaving. But the trailer seems to have that usual GTA style, so I'm cautiously optimistic. I was also worried about how good the world would be but so far they're killing that
Now there's a name I haven't heard in a long time. A long time.
Used to love Ecco the dolphin on the Megadrive, so this is welcome news that I never saw coming. Hopefully they play as well as I remember. And so glad that an actual new game is coming too
Also it shoukd show Square Enix that you can make a great game on a smaller budget, especially with the easy access to unreal 5, and still create a great game with really good graphics, on a smaller budget, so that when they sell 5 million for example, they're not considered a failure
Glad to see this doing well. I'm loving this game so far (just got to act 2). It's an absolute masterpiece and it has potential to be one of my favourite games ever. I love the story, the characters, the music great gameplay, and the French-ness really makes it unique. I'm glad it's getting a big following, especially for a game made by such a small team
