God I have so many great memories playing this back in the day. I can't wait for this. Not played in over 20 years and the film is one of the best horrors of all time
I had a feeling it would be. Was hoping for literally ant other game. Enjoyed Borderlands 1 but played 2 and 3 woth friends and just couldn't get back into it
I'm looking forward to it because there will be a handful of announcements and updates that interest me. But I'm not excited, and I agree with most that he always seems to get better reveals for the game awards. Surely there is a way to reverse that cadence
@UltimateOtaku91 I'd also love to see a return to some of the more experimental side that we had in the Ps1 to Ps3 days. I know its unlikely as sony is a business first and foremost, but maybe they could do some deals with smaller third party companies and indies
I have little to add to all of these comments, like everyone else Astro made me feel like a kid again. It was a great showcase for the dualsense and seeing the nods to Playstation classic games took me back 20+ years
I hope this is good because it has great potential to resurrect the franchise. I think next 10 days makes it seem like Summer games fest. Could be xbox but it feels like it would do better as a Keighley reveal
Astro bot is genuinely one of Sony's best franchises, and I hope this game sells well so that we get future Astro games. It's the best none Mario platformer (easily) and has potential to be a great Sony mascot
@Golem25 although I agree to an extent, the most excited Iver an E3 I got was E3 2015 when i was 25 and I actually thought the 2020 PS5 reveal event was great too. Its just that there's no big PS5 games coming out that I'm personally interested in, apart from Astro bot, which I got excited over like a kid at Christmas, because its a great game to play with my family. When the next round of big 1st party stuff is revealed I'm sure the excitement will come back to me
I'm excited but after the last showcase and state of play, I'm going in with lowish expectations, that way I can't really be disappointed. If we get the rumored Astro bot game and at least one other big-ish surprise that will be a good showing in my opinion
Doesn't look as good as Cavill, but then that was never going to happen. Still doesn't look bad and I'm more than willing to give him a chance. People's problem nowadays is that they make snap judgements without having all of the information
It was obviously pronounced "jib". As mentioned in the article it comes from the word giblets which is pronounce "jib-lets". Has anyone actually been pronouncing it wrong all this time?
I'd be happy with any of them to be honest. All game franchises that I've enjoyed. Amd when I was kid I used to love Civ, and just strategy games in general
@UltimateOtaku91 it's usually a Wednesday or Thursday so I'm hoping next week. Although could still be 29th or 30th as someone else has mentioned in here
Hopefully less leaks this year, although that's unlikely in this day and age. Despite some people hating on him, I like Keighley, and there's always a handful of games announced at his events that get me excited
Not managed to get round to Stellar blade yet (still playing FF VII rebirth) but I liked the look of this and I'm glad it seems to be doing well. We need more new IPs being successful
Helldivers showed that a live service game done well has a big audience on PS5, and I'll be honest this was always the one I was most excited for, purely because I love the kind of sci fi aesthetic they're going for. Cautiously optimistic for this one and can't wait to see more
I'm optimistic about this one. Love feudal Japan as a setting and when Assassin's creed is done well (AC2, black flag, oddessy) it can be a fantastic game. But so many end up being very underwhelming
Great choice this month. Be nice to play the new fif- sorry FC 24. Ghostrunner 2 seemed really good from what I saw, and Tunic was a fun little zelda like that I started on xbox but didn't get more than a couple of hours into. Already own destiny and not played it in a while, so I'm not as fussed about that
I'm hoping for a ps plus release soon. I slept on this when it first came out, but people really seem to love it and I've heard very good things about the soundtrack in particular
Not what everyone wants, no. But better believe me and my family will be getting it. We have a board game night every so often and the kids love Rayman
Dave the diver looks fantastic. I watched PlayStation access playing it yesterday and it looks really fun and unique. The rest of the games, I'm not too fussed
We've seen Sony saying they had 12 live service games in the works and at least one (last of us online) has been cancelled with I expect more to follow suit. Only have to look at EA to see what can happen when you force all developers into a direction they don't want to go in. Although to be fair EA is starting to improve. At least from the outside looking in
He's right variety is the spice of life and that's certainly true of video games. I'm currently enjoying final fantasy 7 (a single player game) and helldivers 2 (online multiplayer/ live service). There's no reason we can't have both. Let developers make the games they want to and if they're good people will buy them
I've been on the fence about it so waiting for reviews. Not a day one buy because I'm still nowhere near completing Rebirth. Then I've got Baldurs gate to go back to. I do love a good anime inspired action game though
I'll be honest I absolutely love this game. I don't understand the hate from some sections of the fan base. I get people not vibing with the checklist style but when people say it's soulless that's just blatantly not true. If anything it has given some fairly pointless locations in the original (such as Costa del sol) more life and meaning. And the areas all look amazing. I am in Gongaga currently and absolutely loving every minute of this game
I'm currently knee deep into final fantasy 7 rebirth and loving every minute. Remake became one of my favourite games of all time and this looks set to surpass even that
Never played these because they were originally PC only and I've never had a particularly beefy PC. Always liked the look of them though so will almost certainly give them a go at some point
I'm reading the expanse books currently, and would love something that has that kind of flavour to it. An action game set in the solar system. Sort of a mass effect without the aliens
8 is still my favourite and I love the world characters and story. I actually really enjoyed the function system but I get why a lot of people don't as ot was complicated at first, then became very easy to break once you knew what you were doing
Up to now the only "must buy" of the entire year for me is Final fantasy 7 rebirth, although of Star wars outlaws reviews well that will also be on there. Most of the other games I'll probably wait for a sale. I'm more than likely going to be buying Alan Wake 2 and Baldur's gate 3 in the early part of the year tol, as I never got round to those 2 last year
Don't understand how it can be woke when Michelle Rodriguez has been doing this for years in fast and the furious. Having anything other than white males or women who are quiet and submissive is not woke, its just life
I'm not sure which one I would have left out because I haven't played them all and I'm sure they're all brilliant, and I know it's all down to personal preference but final fantasy 16 is a shock to not be in there at all. The Titan fight alone is as good as any piece I've heard in games, and the whole soundtrack is close to that level. Crazy omission
@The_Pixel_King ice just gone back to it because I only played a couple of hours when it first cane out, and I'm loving it. Definitely reminds me of some of the old ps1 JRPGs such as Grandia
Actually ever since the first trailer, I've hoper we can use the subway system and actually be able to look around and out of the window. I knows it's not an addition for everyone's taste but I love that idea
I'd give it a 9. Easily Insomniac's best game. The people who gave it a 1 are clearly either a. Joking. B. Never played it or c. Have never played another video game before. An abysmal game would have to be completely broken or not have a single moment of quality
I plan to play them eventually, easily been over a decade since I last played any of those. 2 is my favourite and it's not even close. The only piece of media that I will genuinely use the obnoxious "you just didn't get it" when someone actively dislikes it
I'm definitely surprised that Starfield sold well enough to be number 1, especially with it being an xbox exclusive that's also on game pass. But I do think it's deserved. Its definitely not the all conquering juggernaut be-all-and-end-all that some people expected. But it's a very fun game and has that Bethesda spark to it
