@UltimateOtaku91 will definitely be giving Outlaws a go. I have a friend who's not a massive gamer (although he does love Star wars) and he recommends it, told me it was really fun. And tbh I'd rather listen to people I trust than online trolls.

I'm also really looking forward to playing Broken sword: Shadow of the Templars again. Was one of my favourite games as a kid

@Grackler Hogs of war was brilliant, and Rik Mayall really put his all into it. I do like the sound of this new Worms game. Worms mixed with XCOM sounds like a match made in heaven

I know people are generally against Keighley, but I actually like that he does this showcase and the game awards, I genuinely have fun watching them. And even if they're not great, I usually see a handful of games that I'm excited for

I'm definitely interested to see what they do with this. Black flag is ny favourite AC game by far, but the combat was mostly terrible. Just don't know how they can update it apart from just copying the Origins/Odyssey gameplay, which I feel no-one wants

This looks really good. Remember seeing the recent reveal trailer and thinking this was the pod racer game. Crazy that after so many years we're actually getting 2 new star wars racers

I thought the game was surprisingly good, but I didn't play much because I had a few other games going at the time. But the world and story are fantastic and (relatively) unique so a TV show makes perfect sense

I'd absolutely love a sequel. A New york noire perhaps?

Easily my favourite Assassin's creed (and the only one I finished) I'll definitely be playing this one, it will be a good game to play with my girlfriend. The only games she can get into is Horizon zero dawn, but she loves pirates and liked the look of this one from the trailer

I'm surprised at how many people are against Superhero video games. As someone who enjoyed the X-men and Spiderman cartoons, I always wanted good games bases on these characters. And the 2 Spiderman ganes are some if my favourites of the last few years, so I can't wait for this.

I'm also really hoping the leaked X-men game is still real. I still don't think there has been an X-men game that has really been any good, besides the 90s sidescrollers

I need to get back to playing those. I loved Metro 2033, but then barely played the second one and haven't touched Exodus. Maybe it's time for a full playthrough of the series

@johncalmc I agree. The Deus ex games are some of my favourite games, with Human revolution genuinely being in my all time top 10. It's sad to see that we may never get another one again

@Korgon I agree, but I've been second guessing myself. I think they may announce it later this year, as its a big anniversary year for them. Still think the game will be 2 to 3 years away so if anything that may help P4R as that game will come out in the meantime to bridge the gap, so peolle wanting more Persona will gravitate to the remake.

That's how I'd do it anyways but I'm by no means an expert in this stuff. I am also in the camp that would absolutely buy the remake to tide me over until the big one

Loves maximum carnage back in the day, one of my earliest gaming memories, I must have been 5 or 6 when I played it (where does the time go?) but I actually remember really enjoying spiderman and the x-men: arcades revenge. I used to play it loads, although I was pretty terrible at it

You've turned me round on playing Lost records as well. I heard mixed things about it so I've stayed away so far

I'm really looking forward to this one. I enjoyed Returnal but only got 2 biomes in before I reached a point where I just couldn't "git gud" and the fact that you lose all progress when you die just beat me in the end.

Having actual upgrades that you can keep between runs is just the addition this game needed (along with actually having other characters to interact with) to make it an absolute must play for me

Also although it's a new team, it's full of industry veterans, plus people who worked on Love, death and robots (which I love) so the talent is definitely there

Hard to judge from1 trailer, but this has potential and was easily my favourite reveal from the Xbox partner preview. Loving the 30's inspired futuristic world, and the story sounds interesting. Be intrigued to see how this one develops

That's good news but I need to know if it's going to run well on base PS5. I'm waiting on reviews but if reviews are good I'm definitely buying this one. I've been after a good open world fantasy game for a while and this looks like it could be right up my alley

To be honest I think it will run well "enough". The real question is if the gameplay and story can really reach the heights hinted at in trailers. If it really is The witcher 3 mixed with breath of the wild, we could be in for an all time great RPG. Still not convinced yet though

I think he's on to something, the image doesn't look great (although i have no doubt the show will end up looking a lot better) but does Jaffe ever have anything positive to say about anything?

@Balaam_ it's certainly up there for me. Absolutely fantastic. I know this isn't fully gaming related, but would love Yoko taro to do a game adaptation to go alongside it

@get2sammyb love him or hate him, if Geoff Keighley has made a big deal out of it, I would expect some form of new Nier game announced at SGF. Hopefully it is a full sequel

Can't wait for this. Remake was my favourite game of 2020 and Rebirth was easily my game of the year 2024. I put over 100 hours into it and got the platinum. Enjoyed every minute of it

@Scottyy probably get a Wolverine release date too. I would love a new Uncharted. Would be happy with a remake, a new Chloe/Nadine gane or a brand new Nate Drake adventure. It's been too long since a game has scratched the adventure movie itch for me, so any Uncharted would be good for me

I'm actually quite pleased with this month's selection. I've been wanting to play Undisputed for quite a while but just not got round to purchasing it yet. And I've been wanting a decent dogfighting game, so will definitely play Ace combat. And subnautica is also a really fun game, so may play that again. All in all, I consider this a strong month

@PuppetMaster woukd absolutely love a new (or remake) Rival schools and Breath of fire. Surely there's a way to bring them back and sell well enough to revive the franchise

@lazarus11 I agree that the humour is the hardest to get right. But the playground games studios are a British studio, and have already said that they are bang their humour off shows such as Peep show and IT crowd, so hopefully the series is in good hands

Been wanting to try this for a while, but never made the jump, so will definitely give this one a go

@Leinad7 they confirmed that it will have a mixture of western and Japanese songs, so you should be good there. The soundtracks are always really good. I remember listening to Vivaldi's 4 seasons on Forza 4, and I'm not normally a classical music guy, but it just fit perfectly

@Kwehst 100%, the Vita is such a great handheld. It's the place I originally played persona 4 golden, which instantly became one of my favourite games and franchises. And it's also the place I eventually finished FF7, 8 and 9 a full decade after I originally tried them.

Hoping this rumour about a new handheld alongside the next console is true

I'm currently playing through Alan Wake 2 and honestly I think it's retroactively become ny gane of the year for 2023. Such a fantastic game, I'm loving every minute of it. The story is amazing and is the perfect blend of Twin peaks and Steven King's best work. Although the game gets very weird, so I'm all for it

Speedball was one of the first games I ever played back when I was 5, so I will definitely be giving this a go. Loved the amiga, used to play it loads. Fire and ice was another one I was a big fan of

This is fantastic news. Love to see smaller budget titles getting the sales they deserve. The original is one of the best games of all time, and they've probably already made back their budget in just 3 months

Not played MH wilds but if we're going purely on action, then if its anywhere near as good as World, it deserves to be in the list. But my pick would still be Ghost. Although I look forward to playing Ninja Gaiden 4 at some point

I like the look of this. I do wish people woukd stop announcing their titles early though. One of the best bits about any of these shows is the big surprise reveals. It was awesome seeing Onimusha, Okami and Intergalactic at previous game awards

@DennisReynolds I think people are starting to dislike the more modern style of characters having emotions. Some people don't even like the modern Kratos, despite him being 100% better than the old Kratos and one of the best characters in gaming. Apparently having nuance is bad now

@playthedangame same. I also hope blue prince wins debut indie. I'm not a puzzle guy at all and I put 40 hours into it, and still return to it now. Brilliant game

@DennisReynolds yeah Ben Starr and Jennifer English have become gaming treasures in the last 2 years. And it's great to see Blue prince get its flowers. I generally don't like puzzle games, but I got addicted to Blue prince, such a fantastic game

@ChicoTarta agreed. Don't get me wrong, I don't play it much, but I always join my son when they do the end of season events, as they're always really cool

Looks like I'll be joining my son in playing this one. Some people will say Fortnite jumped the shark, but honestly I think it's always been the gaming equivalent of pitting all of our action figures together as kids. I'm here for the ridiculousness of the whole thing

I might give this a go. I'm not a fan of microtransactions in games but if this has a decent way to earn stuff through playing it might be worth giving it a go. I'm not inheritantly against gacha games, genshin impact was actually really fun

@AdamNovice I agree to an extent. Although I think it will sell better than the deck. Depends on price though. If they can get it close to £500 it may do well

I think it will find an audience but I don't think it will be a threat to playstation, as it's not on par power wise and will still be busy playstation exclsives. So far. Can see it being a massive problem for Xbox though. I for one will probably pick one up, as the steam deals are second to none, and I don't have a particularly great PC
