What a great looking puddle. I saw a puddle outside yesterday that didn't have that level of detail 🤣.
All jokes aside though I remember reading about puddlegate and just thinking "don't people have anything else to worry about in life?" It didn't look that bad at all and then when Insomniac explained why the puddle looked different, a few idiots actually argued with them and accused them of lying. I'm glad to see them have the last laugh. Game looks amazing and I can't wait to play it after work on Friday. My office is literally next to GAME so I can pop in and get it on my dinner break
I will definitely be getting this day one, though I doubt I'll be anywhere near finishing it when final fantasy comes out, so it may need to be shelved for a while to make way for Cloud and Co.
My first full weekend off in a month, so ill be playing Final fantasy 16. I dropped off for a while but I'm back now and close to the end. It's in my top 5 favourite FF games now. I'm close to the platinum so will hopefully have all trophies soon except for the second playthrough to complete on final fantasy difficulty
Premium is a bit 'meh' but extra seems pretty good to me. As the article says some great Halloween games in there, and I'll finally get to play Disco elysium, which has been on my 'to play' list for years. The refresh is a few days before Spiderman as well so will have a few days to play them before Peter Parker owns my gaming thumbs for a while
God I can't wait, and I hope it means we actually get a new game, or at least more remasters of the older ones. I liked the first remaster, but want the return of Jubei Yagyu
I will be playing this but will probably wait a while. Currently playing starfield and baldurs gate and never finishes like a dragon, so will probably go back and do that before getting the sequel
Luckily I was planning on doing that anyways. Only played it for the first time last Christmas but its gone on to be one of my favourite games of all time. Couldn't put it down
I'm happy I'll be able to play star ocean till the end of time one of my favourite ps2 games, and everyone should play 13 sentinels Aegis rim as it tells a fantastic story, one of the best in gaming. Although many people will probably disagree without playing it as its anime styled and people think (incorrectly) that anime can not tell good stories
My premium subscription runs out in December, so I'm gonna get playing the ps classics I never finished such as legend of dragoon. Then I'll downgrade to extra after that. Unless they seriously up the value of premium, such as adding way more ps2 games like the rumours say
I'm quite excited about this one. Be nice to play a smaller, more early assassin's creed gameplay. I went back to Assassin's creed 2 fairly recently and it's still quite fun to play. Be nice for that style of gameplay to come back but with more modern mechanics thrown in
Hope everyone has a great weekend. The missus is at a wedding so I've got the kids, but when I get chance I'll be back to final fantasy 16. Also Zelda TOTK has finally clicked for me and I'm absolutely loving it. So be playing that while watching the footy
I started playing it on phone a couple of months back but didn't fully get into it. Might jump back in when it's out as I think part of the reason I didn't get into it is because I don't tend to play mobile phone games for the most part
I started reading Leviathan wakes a few years ago, before the TV show started, and was loving it but fell off because a lot of family related things came up. Maybe now is the time to return to that and actually stick with it. I've heard great things about the TV show, with people saying it's almost game of thrones level of quality when it comes to writing and acting
@ChronoBreak777 I think Vivi may be the perfect final fantasy character and his story is one of the best in the franchise. That being said I voted for Titus. Bad laugh aside (which was obviously intentionally bad, btw) he's the one with the most personality, although he is a bit whiny. I don't full understand the love for Cloud. Most iconic maybe, best weapon, arguably. Although the gunblade from FF8 is better IMO. But he had zero personality until the remake
@KAIRU absolutely. That and Cowboy bebop are usually the ones that I recommend even non anime fans watch. And maybe death note and steins;gate. All very anime in some ways but the stories and characters are genuinely compelling
Looks fantastic. I've been looking for a genuinely good mech game for a couple of years now, even since watching Neon genesis evangelion and gundam. I think even for people who don't really watch that kind of thing, mechs are just cool
@Snake_V5 I was thinking that at first but tbh I don't think sony can afford to wait much longer. People are clamouring for new playstation game reveals and after spiderman (probably in September) there's nothing confirmed from any playstation studio. And even their biggest marketing deals street fighter 6 and final fantasy 16 will be out soon
@Razputinman best way to announce it would be to announce persona 6, which will be a ways away, and then say something like "But to tide you over in the meantime..." would love a persona 3 remake as I never finished it and only played the portable version
@Odium I played it a heck if a lot. I'd actually forgotten about it until this article, but I used to play it all the time on the Amiga. Loved that console. Chaos engine, Fire and ice, James pond Robocod. So many great games
Somehow totally missed this news until now, but that sounds like a great idea. I'm looking forward to 4 and 6 in particular. Both great games, but I never finished them
I'm one of the people who loved death stranding. Fell off the first time but then the second time everything clicked. And the soundtrack was one of the reasons why. Chvrches and Low roar suddenly starting up as you climb over a mountain to see a beautiful vista, and your destination come into sight, is one of my favourite moments in gaming in the last few years
@roe I've only seen Rogue one, and Book of Eli that he wrote, but like them or not, they're well written films. Personally I think Rogue one is one of the best pieces of Star wars content.
Seems a shame that they got such great writers on there and decided not to use them. I mean looking at another Square franchise, the world building in the Final fantasy games is fantastic but the actual dialogue is usually pretty bad, or at the very least goofy. And I say this as a massive fan of the franchise
I still need to get round to watching the show, because a few friends have said its really good. But I did read the first book, Leviathan wakes , and thought it was brilliant. Definitely a good universe and setting for a Telltale game
That's a fantastic lineup. For once I'm actually most excited to see the ps plus premium games. Legend of dragoon alone is worth the price of admission, but wild arms 2 is a good add, and I used to love playing Harvest moon at my mate's. He found it boring but I loved it
It looks amazing, and I'd love one. I just can't afford and/justify spending the price of a new console. Will definitely pick it up eventually if it gets enough support. Of course if you guys want to send one over, I certainly won't turn it down 🤣
@dallow_prime that would be awesome. Danny dyer in as one of the main character's mates, get vinnie Jones as the crime boss, with Jason statham as his enforcer. Perfect for the cheesy melodrama of a Getaway reboot
Looking forward to this. Been playing a lot of Cyberpunk 2077 since I got it at Christmas and I'm thoroughly hooked. Loving the story and characters and I think many of the side quests are as good as the main story. Would have definitely been one of my games of the year 2020 of it had actually released in a finished state
Normally I'd think this is taking it too far but the comments he made were ridiculous, basically blaming all the employees for the delays when it's almost certainly a management issue.
I've seen this kind of thing at companies I've worked at before. Basically "We've F'd up so you all need to work a lot harder"
I hope this is a precursor to them releasing a remaster, but I'm not holding my breath. Although this is the 20th anniversary this year.... (God I feel old)
Like you guys, I'd like to see more gameplay in regards to exploration, as part of the fun for me for any FF game (and most RPGs to be honest) is finding all the new towns and secret areas. But even without that, FF16 is probably my most anticipated game of 2023, with the possible exception of Spiderman 2
A new shin megami tensei game would be great. I used to love digital devil saga and a couple of others from the PS2 generation. But obviously the big one everyone (including me) wants is persona 6. Although I don't know where they would go for a setting, after 5 took it to Tokyo
@Impossibilium my first thought too, as soon as i say the under headline "dont blink". A doctor who weeping angels game would be amazing, and I'd definitely play it. Doctor who in general shoukd be ripe for gaming adaptations, but so far no one has done a particularly good job
Really looking forward to this one. Definitely one of my 'must buys' next year. Like FF12 by way of Game of thrones. And it really is a looker (at least going by trailers)
Honestly can't wait for this to release. Probably will wait for a discount but we'll definitely be getting one. Even tday Beat saber on psvr probably gets played as much by my wife and her mates as I play on any of my other games. Definitely hasn't gone to waste
I'm definitely up for this. Never played suidoken back in the day, but always remember seeing it at the local blockbuster. And knowing more about it now I know that it would have been my type of game. Day 1 for me
Not sure on the UI, but the premise of the game sounds great. And Metal gear solid as an inspiration? Certainly worse games to be inspired by. Will definitely keep an eye on this one
Actually a really good month. Heard many great things about Toem so will be nice to finally 0lay it. And I love a good anime fighter. Been a while since I played a NFS so will probably give that a go too
A bot disappointed in no new premium titles but I think I'll soon be jumping into metro exodus and yakuza kiwami 2. Been a couple of months since I finished the first kiwami so I'm more than ready to spend some more time with Kiryu
With such a wide gap in the reviews it's definitely a "Give it a watch and I'll see what I think" type of situation. It would have been nice to have a general consensus but I like resident evil as a series so I'll definitely watch and formulate my own opinion
Overall I like the fact that they just stuck to the broad outlines of the original story, and I loved the changes and the possible 'multiverse' story. I still have the original and if it was just a straight scene for scene remake I don't think I'd have loved the game as much as I did.
That said the side-quests were not great and got repetitive quickly and although I think the linear nature worked well as it was all set in Midgar, the world of the original opened right up afterwards, so I'm hoping Rebirth does the same
@BritneyfR_ee completely agree. I rarely play fortnite in my own but my son is a big fan and I quite often play it with him and we both thought it was amazing and great fun. My son got so excited when he saw Darth Vader, and he barely knows Star wars. Dont know why people have to be so down on it. Don't like it, don't play it. I never really enjoyed Game of thrones but I'd never criticise the other millions of people who loved it. People have different opinions and that's great!
@UltimateOtaku91 exactly what I was hoping. I'm currently playing through Trails of cold steel 2, but 3 and 4 are still about £40. Be nice to just have them ready to go
