Fortnite Chapter 6 is coming to a close very soon, and marking the occasion is a big, splashy finale event that looks very Ready Player One.
Check out the trailer below, which features several disparate IPs that may make your head spin:
In the video, we see Fortnite's own Jonesy moving through a chaotic battlefield, only to see Godzilla and King Kong standing against a bigger threat.
X-Wings from Star Wars fly overhead before a giant Homer Simpson, in just his underwear, stomps into view.
That's when the Bride from Kill Bill slides in on her motorcycle, and she and Jonesy ride towards the danger.
For good measure, we're pretty sure we can see the Power Rangers Megazord stomping along too.
It's basically a culmination of all the collabs from Chapter 6, but the effect makes it look more like the aforementioned Ernest Cline story than ever.
The one-time live finale event, called Zero Hour, takes place within Fortnite on 29th November 2025, and it's due to get started at 11am PT/2pm ET/7pm GMT.

Looks like I'll be joining my son in playing this one. Some people will say Fortnite jumped the shark, but honestly I think it's always been the gaming equivalent of pitting all of our action figures together as kids. I'm here for the ridiculousness of the whole thing
Funny enough, if Fortnite adds a First Person VR mode and a giant social hub… it would literally become an early Ready Player One
This article reads like a joke fanfic. Or someone making fun of collabs.
I can't believe this is real.
Looks good. I'm putting it on the calendar. Saturday of Thanksgiving day weekend is a crummy time to do it though, lot of kids who play this will probably be traveling, pestering their parents no end. They could have easily kept the Simpsons going for another week - it's a really short season - and done this on Dec 6th.
Unless Epic isn't a US company and doesn't care about T-day? Gonna have to go look that up. I'll be there, wife permitting. Simpsons lead in was mostly a 12 minute non -interactive cutscene but it was a fun watch. This one looks to be playable.
Edit: Epic is in North Carolina, who knew, would have guessed California or Washington. They really should have waited. Probably means their employees have to put in more time over that weekend as well. Guess Epic selling Band camp 5 months after it unionized was a coincidence.😝
It really is just like Ready Player One. The only difference is that I can actually see what's going on here lol
someone I know wish Fortnite closed for good and all but he's wrong. a bigtime lol
If only Fortnite actually played like this trailer looks…
Zero Hour was a DC Comics event back in the day too.
@Batesy125s thats how I always looked at it. It's just a giant toybox!
@ChicoTarta agreed. Don't get me wrong, I don't play it much, but I always join my son when they do the end of season events, as they're always really cool
