I personally even play 30fps on PC if it gives me all bells and whistles and the input lag is not too bad.

But the math is easy, if a game can run 4K/30, then it should also be able to run 1080p/60. These 2 modes should easily be achievable by all games with 2 set of settings. Sony studios show how it’s done. I got my 30/40fps choice and other gamers got their 60/120fps choices.

I currently play Gotham Knights on 4k30fps and I enjoy it a lot, but damn this game is super unoptimized. It could be so much more enjoyable. And the biggest issue appears to be asset streaming.

Oh that part was super annoying.

@jrt87 i didn’t even know that. I didn’t plan to buy Wo Long because it’s a tough game (played the demo), so not worth paying it for me. But if it’s on Gamepass, I am more than ready to at least give it a proper try!

This game is such a tough thing for me.
First I was happy it comes to Gamepass since I got an Xbox.
Then they apparently got amazing PS5 Dualsense features, so I was like “damn, should I buy it for PS5?”, then they show off RTX features and I am like “omg, should I maybe buy it for PC and use a PS5 controller?”.

I can’t find info if this game comes to PC game pass in particular. It just always says “Gamepass”.

I found many of the characters interesting and am completely hooked. Some characters I feel are very mature due to them not being so unnecessarily emotional, which is rare to see in a game.

Also, just play on easiest difficulty and build around the assassin skills to have an easy time without grinding.

The game is definitely not for everybody, but I highly enjoy the dialogues and characters (I am currently in chapter 5).

Played DioField demo, Valkyrie and now Star Ocean, and I ended up buying DioField and might also grab Star Ocean whereas previously I wouldn’t have even thought of getting anything at all. Star Ocean reminds me quite a lot of Xenoblade in many regards (I never played any other Star ocean game).

And the graphics are also nicer than what I saw in trailers.

Played the beta a bit. I’m more into Counter Strike, so the destruction mode was fun I guess. But being almost forced to play with mouse and keyboard players just killed the game for me.
I might try it again when it lands on Gamepass someday.

Tried the demo, but it was too bland in terms of world and combat feel. Also the performance drops on a PS5 were a bit annoying, although that can be fixed.

I wish there was more, but also want them to move on to another engine.
I hope there will be another Cyberpunk game made with UE5 someday in the future.

I’m playing on ray tracing and the input lag was the only thing that had me sometimes switch to performance mode. Just tried it now and it’s so much better with the reduced input lag. Thank god they got around that

So far I heard good things over at the Reddit community. I bought it as well and am looking forward to getting ripped to shreds by xenos.

Not yet in Japan it seems. I hope it’ll come soon. Can’t wait to play.

Ah good that I waited for reviews. I guess I can skip it. Bad dungeon designs are the biggest killer for me.

Enjoyed it back in the day, but can’t remember much anymore other than that. I’ll definitely have a try

Unity-built Games so far have kind of disappointed me tech-wise. This tech demo won’t make me trust this engine.

FF14 I feel is the easiest MMO to just jump in any time and have fun.

I don’t care about mtx if this is close enough to smash from gameplay. I will definitely play this a lot.
I’m here for gameplay, cosmetics are just a bonus.

I am actually not into old games, but I enjoyed some Wild Arms.
Other than that my biggest point for Premium are the game trials that would save me a lot of money in the long run.

I hope this leads to more stable quality now across their games.

@ATaco blizzard apparently didn’t state anything other than that, but activision seems to have gone with marketing it as sequel.

Hm, I got the PS4 PS Plus Extra version and the PS5 version is only available to me via purchase.

I couldn’t stop playing it because it looked so good with ray tracing. I was happy actually that it was so short though, because I couldn’t handle the stress level for much longer

In just a week of PS Plus Extra I got more games to play that are worth my time compared to 2 years of Gamepass.
I am in Japan so all of the Legend of Heroes games I am slowly starting to get through, which is quite a lot. I don’t get any such thing on Gamepass right now.

I still have a yearly Gamepass though, as it saves me money for some of the upcoming games announced for this year.

Was waiting for more story content. Looking forward to jump back in.

This looks like dumb fun, I’m interested so far.

Somehow there is a “Biohazard Directors Cut” released today in the Japanese PSN store.

@SolaceCreed these devs are actually very competent in providing this kind of experience and getting such good graphics out of it.

It’s not as good as until Dawn, but still the best they managed after not being able to rely on a big budget that Until Dawn had thanks to Sony.

I loved the quarry, although I found the story and lore of Until Dawn to still be the best so far.

Will definitely pick it up day one, but some of the writing is a bit annoying already. Hope the story overall gets good. Or wait, if we get the Game trials from PS Plus Premium, I can make it a very safe day one purchase.

Definitely looking forward to this. Hope it will end up being good.

After FFXIV and Destiny, this is probably my most played game. I hope somebody will take up the challenge to give us a BF3, now that anybody can develop Star Wars games.

But Destiny nowadays sure is a very good live service game.

I see LotR, I buy. It’s that simple.

Pretty sure they try sell these things before they land on PS+ Extra.
There will be probably more sales before it comes out.

@Colour Destiny also actually failed and had to pull itself up again and again. Most others didn’t manage as well as Destiny did.
Only now it is in a pretty good place and appears to stabilize.

Ghost of Tsushima is the only game I did everything the game had to offer. And I still wish I had reason to come back to the game. Most open world games I just do the main quests, a bit of side stuff, and that’s it. Others I don’t even finish (Valhalla).

As a SWE myself, I can imagine it being temporarily blocked for internal migrations. Post-migration state comparisons and stuff. It may become unlocked after those are done. Hence the word “temporarily”.

But I could also be wrong and it’s just Sonys greed.

But I can also understand that Sony May not have the money to take the burden. But then honestly they should have just blocked it from the start.

The awful characters and dialogs are the reason I love it. It’s so cringey, it makes me laugh quite a lot. And the gameplay is a lot of fun. That’s what a game should be, fun.

I wish I could ever finish this game. But it is just far too tough and stressful for me to even have fun.

@Porco speak for yourself. I so far dig Forspoken and FF Origins. And we are still getting FFXVI.

Essentially this was “state of Japanese game industry”.

Still happy we get another FFOrigins demo. Back to killing CHAOS.

Also good to see some more gameplay from Forspoken. Still hope that game will turn out better than I currently expect.

Who knows, maybe Sony wanted to offer cross-gen, but the devs wanted too much money.

I have never liked games with multiple endings, since I never really play a game again except maybe after a few years. So this sounds great to me.

The issue with FF7 Remake is that it is not only a remake, but an alternate universe title.
It could almost be considered false advertising to people who buy with the expectation that it is the same story as the original, but with a new engine.

I enjoy the game, but so far it feels like the lowest effort implementation of any battlefield, except for portal.

I enjoy portal more than the main modes, which tells me I’m more into the original BF experiences.

Waited for this to start my NG+!

Finally, Endwalker is almost there! That will occupy me most of the time until February.
