Forspoken is one of the bigger releases in the PS5’s pipeline, and therefore we figured you may fancy a glimpse at a new cut-scene. Actress Ella Balinska appeared as part of Netflix Geeked earlier today in order to talk about her role in the upcoming Resident Evil show, but she brought a brand-new scene of Square Enix’s inFamous-esque role-playing game to show.
Out of context, it’s a little bit of an odd choice, but the overall voice direction is excellent – especially so for a Japanese game. The conversation flows naturally, and the animations are pretty good. No, it’s not quite Naughty Dog calibre, but few games are. It’s actually quite a promising little clip in our opinion, even if it could have used a little more background to better frame what’s actually going on.
Maybe it's because I'm mildly drunk, but the more I see of this, the more I get Willow vibes. In a good way.
I can't say why.
Anyway, I'm liking this game more and more. The main character is very cool. Hopefully the game can do her justice.
Can't wait for this. Looks good.
Got damned! That looks impressive!
Really looking forward to this one!
The woman she’s talking to has some of the strangest facial animations I’ve ever seen. It’s uncanny valley territory, where it’s close to looking great but something’s just not quite right.
I was skeptical on this from the rough gameplay footage beforehand, but dang this looks really good. Might pick it up right away after all.
Will definitely pick it up day one, but some of the writing is a bit annoying already. Hope the story overall gets good. Or wait, if we get the Game trials from PS Plus Premium, I can make it a very safe day one purchase.
The game does look good, even in gameplay...but last time we saw it the world just looks barren and boring...hope they are improving that! I mean, the environment was like PS3 era of quality...low effort assets here and there, nothing much to see honestly
This sells me more on the story and presentation then I've been so far. Bit it's all not making up for the iffy gameplay we saw yet.
So Gamefest has a completely unrelated movie trailer for Black Adam yesterday and Netflix's show about it's tv shows has a completely unrelated trailer for a video game today? Did I get that right? Obviously paid for advertisements posing as part of the show seems like to me.
You know, I'm really excited about this. The tone is so different from what games normally do, it feels fresh.
Been looking forward to this since in was first shown, I like the character and story concept. Hopefully the gameplay is good also. Graphics are good enough - not really that important to me.
Well that was actually a pleasant surprise. I’ve not been impressed by this game at all really, but consider my interest piqued
Looks pretty good
Crazy how this made everyone agree that the game is actually promising, while a long showcase lowered expectations. Marketing is a weird thing.
Yeah this was a decent scene, think this game could be a Dark Horse for GOTY.
Something different and a little strange but still a lot of fun. If only some people could get over the colour and sex of the main lead.
Nothing will ever beat
Im not sure with this game. Some of the gameplay outside in the open world has some kind of next gen visuals to it but this video here looks nothing special to me. Colours and environment reminds on the ps3 area. Sure facial animation are better but it doesn’t look very good in any way.
Nice to see. I think people who have already written this off have jumped the gun. Im intrigued by this game and hope it reaches its potential!
I really like it. Great directing.
It's all about the charm. This scene had it. Previous scenes didn't. I think the music helped.
This looks promising. Wish they show more of the world you can explore and what you can do in it.
This looks like a buy one year later square game. I'm thinking a year after release they may have fixed gameplay, story ect ect. It's a 100% wait for review at launch. FFXV took a year plus to be a decent game, FFXIX needed burning to the ground.
I’m looking forward to this game but only one month later after launch it’s gonna much cheaper, this is gonna be the exact same situation as Guardians of the Galaxy last year which also launched in October but mid-November it was already at $40 or less.
Looks great. Can’t wait till to play the remaster
Cool cutscene, but will still be waiting for launch day gameplay and reviews before I purchase.
@Shepherd_Tallon Do you still feel this way after sobering up?
@KidBoruto Yes. I do. 😌
@Shepherd_Tallon Speaking of Willow, are you looking forward to the Disney+ series?
@KidBoruto You know I had no idea they were even doing it until I stumbled across the trailer last week.
It went completely under my radar somehow.
My first thought was, please be a sequel and not a reboot. I'd have watched either way, but I loved the original and always wanted to see more from those characters. (I never read the books for some reason)
Once that Willow theme played though I melted.
But to answer your question, yes, I'm absolutely looking forward to it.
@Shepherd_Tallon I can confirm that the upcoming Willow series will be a direct sequel picking up from the end of the original film.
They even brought back Warwick Davis as Willow Ufgood.
At least you've seen the movie, something I need to do before watching the series.
@KidBoruto Oh you've never seen it? If you enjoy 80s fantasy movies you're in for a treat. It's one of those movies I wish I could watch again for he first time.
Just don't expect Lord of the Rings levels of production and you'll enjoy it.
@Shepherd_Tallon That's fine with me! I recently watched The Princess Bride for the first time and found it enjoyable.
Also a big fan of a certain movie...NI NI NI!
The Knights who say Ni? 😂
Princess Bride is a lovely movie.
Legend and The Never Ending Story are also up there for me.
The more I see this game, the more I'm intrigued. I like what I'm seeing.
