Forspoken PS5 Demo Appears Ready for Release

A demo can only help this game. A good decision by Square-Enix. After the memes and bad press around the dialogue they need to show people how good it plays. I'll definitely be checking it out

Square Enixs demos have turned me into a buyer of many games I otherwise wouldn’t have bought. Although I already preordered Forspoken, but hoping the demo comes soon

I'll give the demo a go, I can't say its a game that's captured my attention and I certainly won't be getting it at launch with PSVR2 to pay for but it could be one to pick up at a later date

I can't think of a game I want a demo for more than this game. Good choice.

Forspoken Demo or Bulletsponge generic monster boredom test. If it's good I might start to be interested in this again, but I've got so worried that the combat (though flashy in appearance) will be really tiresome against badly designed, paint by numbers enemies, that stick around way too long. Still hoping to be surprised (new IP be good 🙏), but I'm one that has cooled on this game the more gameplay I've seen :/

Been unsure about this game and hoping SE would do a demo so I will be trying this.

Rare we get demos these days may aswell try it think I'll switch the language though because I'm not interested in listening to the dialogue lol

Interested in the game to some degree. More for the story than gameplay though. Might give it a look I guess.

@Would_you_kindly Actually Square-Enix has always been pretty good when it comes to releasing game demos. Their more recent demos for The DioField Chronicles, Star Ocean: The Divine Force and Valkyrie Elysium have garnered a good amount of attention, but they've actually been doing this for years. Wish other publishers would do the same.

Played the demo for 30 minutes before work! I found the combat to be really fantastic, but that dialogue is really, really awful.

Dialogue is so bad, after playing A plague tale and GoW - it’s unplayable.. definitely a PS+ if at all for me. Combat mechanics were ok, not enough to get me to buy it.

I really liked the demo! The dialogue is corny but c’ Mon who needs another serious game?

yeah, finished the demo and most of the open world map stuff. The combat is fun and there is a lot of gear and customization to sift through which is great. However, I must agree the conversations between the main character and her cuff bracelet thing are just bad. Really poorly delivered lines and writing. Hopefully it being that those conversations are just filler talk while traversing the world, which is pretty bad in even games like horizon, maybe the actual story beats will be better.

Aside from that the magic effects are awesome. Zooming out you can see there are like 4 major areas to the world map that look great. Also, the open world was far from empty and had tons of various open world side activities to do, enemies and mini bosses to fight, and treasure to find. Almost to many treasure chest with mediocre crafting material lol.

I still think even with the demo I would wait for review on this

Played the demo this morning for almost 3 hours, the open world isn't anything that new, it had all the staples of modern open world! Played it in hard but the challenge is mainly because of enemies outside of the field of view, the combat is a bit clunky in my opinion mainly because of the camera and how many abilities you have and the need to use of the abilities wheel! Combat works pretty well in one v one situations, it's quite soul's-ish on hard, one mistake and you're dead (against boss type enemies)
Graphic mode feel OK but RT mode the frame rate is really terrible, performance mode is the way to go!
The modern dialogue in fantasy setting just doesn't work for me! (a lot of profanity isn't that cool)
Still don't see anything really special about the game to justify $70 day one!! I might get the game when it drops in price!

played the demo and the game looked good for a demo but i want the full version to look much better if they can
