Developer Game Science has just announced Black Myth: Zhong Kui, the follow-up to its breakout hit Black Myth: Wukong.

The announcement comes by way of a slick cinematic teaser trailer, which you can watch here:

Based on the Chinese folk legend of Zhong Kui, a figure able to walk the lands of the living and the dead.

It looks great, and we're super curious to see how Game Science improves upon Wukong, but we won't be seeing Zhong Kui for a good long while.

On the game's official website, the studio says the project is "little more than an empty folder at this stage". In other words, work has only just begun, and big budget game development takes many years these days.

Zhong Kui will be another single player action RPG in a similar vein to Wukong, and it'll release on PC and "all mainstream console platforms".

Presumably that includes PS5, but could we be talking about a potential PS6 game at this point? Probably?

Anyway, there we have it. Are you interested in Black Myth: Zhong Kui? Tell us in the comments section below.
