Originally called Vokabulantis, Out of Words is a gorgeous co-op platformer adventure created using stop-motion animation and real-world models.
Publisher Epic Games shared a fresh look at the game in this new trailer, and it looks quite promising:
You and a second player take on the roles of Karla and Kurt, a young girl and boy who've lost their mouths and so can't speak.
The pair have to work together to get through the mysterious land they find themselves in. You'll be solving physics-based puzzles and pulling off platforming feats in perfect sync with each other.

It seems this is a game you can only play in co-op, and thankfully it supports cross-platform online play as well as local.
Obviously, the visual style is this game's USP. All hand-animated and modelled, there aren't many games that share its style. It should be a pretty unique experience in 2026.

Definitely day one purchase for me and my son. Glad to see more games like this coming around after the popularity of It Takes Two. I can’t do online with my child so any couch co-op that is split screen gets my attention.
Yes yes yes. More games like this please
Should have called it "Naomi and Bag Boy". Only half joking. 😁
Reminds me of LBP and Puppeteer, which is a great look in my mind. Nice talking guy too, very Christmas special villain who maybe comes around at the end.
Will almost certainly play it with my wife unless the devs get all "git gud" then we're out. We're all about the chill, don't need the thrill.
This one looks great!
Que this forever getting mixed up with Outer Wilds and The Outer Worlds.
that name change was a great decision!
Looks great! I love the handcrafted nature of it and would be so up for some behind-the-scenes unlockables in this case.
IF like the headphones or others book/game idea I had sure, doing things without speaking sure. Doesn't have to be like that just comparing it to an idea I had.
But there will be some nonsense message /themes (as if story/graphics is all games are)and I'm not interested in that. I'm interested in creative ideas or perspectives for gameplay, not some nonsense narrative or some nonsense emotional journey garbage.
The Quiet Man was 'something' but again too story focused and the 'perspective' execution could have been better.
Hopefully this will but eh. I don't care about it/s' meaning, just if it has decent gameplay.
Not like can't play games without emotes/other gestures, or just 'playing the game' and not having a narrator or dialogue, just make it about navigating some stages as kids, their imagination, whatever happens from there and what not in a fun way. How hard is that, very hard for most devs it has to have mean and i don't care about that. Sigh.
@JohnnyShoulder Like I do war thunder, warfarme and more, you bet it will happen.
