Neowiz and Round8 Studio created one of the best-loved Souls-likes outside of FromSoftware with Lies of P, and it sounds like the team isn't resting on its laurels.
Speaking to GamesRadar following Overture's Best Game Expansion win at the Golden Joysticks, director Choi Ji-Won sounds confident about the upcoming work from the studio.
Via an interpreter, he says fans "can expect the most fun that we can achieve within the game", not specifying exactly which project he's talking about. He also asks fans to "please stay tuned for it; we are working really hard, and I will not disappoint you at all."

Neowiz recently announced several games it has in the pipeline, one of which is the direct sequel to Lies of P.
Thanks to the success of that game, the publisher is currently planning five titles, as well as publishing work from other teams, so it's seriously scaling up its whole operation.
Are you excited for the next games from Neowiz, including Lies of P 2? Tell us in the comments section below.

Imagine a game director saying "Yeah our next game is going to suck, so don't bother with it"
Shoes of D, let's goooooo!
I liked Lies of P but I hope their next game (Wishes of D or whatever they call it) the story has more a direct connection to its source martial. There was so much in Lies of P's story that had almost nothing to do with Pinocchio that it might as well have been an original story.
This sure is a change from the usual, “Sorry in advance, this next game is going to be a huge letdown.”
Refreshing honesty!
Lies of P is hands down the best soulslike game not made by From Soft. I loved my time with it, and I have confidence their next game will be great.
I can’t wait! Lies of P is one of my all time favorite games—it surprised me immensely. I have no doubt they will make an even better sequel, because that ending for the first game is chef’s kiss.

NB SPOILERS
As I saw it, Overture more or less confirmed that Lies of P 2 will continue P's adventure, in an attempt to put right Krat via time travel - though the rules of this were very hazy - by the end it seemed that he had only made small changes as he was always meant to have interceded in that moment of the past.
If you return to the final boss area of overture Gemini mentions about finding a way to save people.
Also, if you grow the golden rose its entry includes a section about altering fate.
And, after Overture, Lady Antonia's letter to you gains additional text to find a path that can save everyone.
The character teased at the end of the main game (D) could be interesting, but a lot of people didn't want a character change as P is established, and I think they have realised it would be a mistake to outright change - though D could join P in his quest.
@Deadlyblack
I actually think it's better than a lot of Fromsoft's work -particularly if you include the dlc.
I'm sold whatever they do. Lies of P was great and Overture just took it to another level
A sequel might be my most anticipated game tbh
I really enjoyed Lies of P and I'm excited for their next project and wish them the best
I wasn't planning on getting any new consoles (the prices are just getting too insane), but if they follow up on the tease at the end of Lies of P, I would buy a new console just to play that.
I liked Lies of P, but I think it would have been even better if it was called "Truth Telling P." Do we really need more lies in this day and age? That was my only complaint
Lies of P and Lords of the fallen (the latest one) are the two best no fromsoft soulslike for IMO. Closest to the real thing. But there's just something about when From does them, nobody can seem to touch. They got the special sauce over there.
@MrMajeeny
The title also confused people when it came to the key mechanic - it was humanity, as opposed to just lying, and in fact a few of the choices give you the 'points' for telling the truth rather than lying.
They just called it Lies of P because of the source material.
Life of P is a joke! Even in easy. The platforming is such a joke in this game. They trying to be too much soul!
“Pies of Lee”!? I’ll show myself out
@DrVenture69 is he a baker or a baby maker?
@StitchJones 😂. Totally agree with Lords of the Fallen, the NPC’s could do with a bit of polish but the level design is awesome
That is a lot of games. Hopefully they’re not spreading themselves too thin. Still gotta play Overture!
