The fact that I don’t need PS Plus to try this out is an instant, “yep, I’ll be trying this out”. Smart move. Online shooters are definitely not my thing, but Marathon looks pretty cool, so giving it a shot!

Sounds like a repeat of the too much action style of RE. It’s a wait for sale, then.

Cronos was fantastic; the atmosphere, the combat, the art direction. Winner! Less excited for this, though… I still need to play the original games, but the walking sim horror stuff just doesn’t interest me as much…

My game of the show here, Resonant looks absolutely incredible.

I loved Returnal, but I’m having a hard time getting excited about Saros. It just looks like more of the same, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but…

Very excited for this! I think the first-person perspective will be a nice change of pace; some great opportunities for scares, for sure. Nice to see a fresh protagonist, and the monster design seems correct. Definitely more in line with traditional Silent Hill, too (although I absolutely loved SHf). Pumped! Great show!

Control Resonant gameplay stole the show. Absolutely. Cannot. Wait.

Definitely will be watching this. I adored Silent Hill f, and, of course, the Silent Hill 2 remake did the original horror masterpiece proud. Konami has my attention.

Love Suda, and this game just looks like bonkers fun (mostly). But serious performance problems means it’s a deep sale for me.

Great overview, definitely sold me on the combat/build potential. Still not 100% sold on the game as a whole, though; looks a little too generic for my taste. Curious to read reviews when it comes out.

Was debating grabbing this, but hearing about frame rate issues means it’s a definitive “wait for a sale”. Super disappointing, and actually pretty shocking given the need for precision, and Team Ninja’s track record…

I would love an OLED portal. I play a lot of dark (literally) games, and the way blacks get washed out into grays makes it both hard to read whats going on and also look kind of rough. I have this same problem on the Switch 2, which is why I avoid playing dark games in handheld. So I would definitely jump on an OLED Portal, and just sell my old one (which is in great shape).

Counterpoint: I’ve had great experiences with TCL TV’s, which have been affordable and issue-free. Maybe I’m an outlier? Bought one years ago that we still use, got one for a family member which they still use, and was hand-me-downed a QLED one which looks phenomenal. I’ve since moved on to a LG OLED, but these TV’s all work great. So… not the end of the world?

Had to vote Neobards. Silent Hill f is my game of the year (on PS5 at least), and I really appreciate what the studio accomplished. A lot was riding on this game too, for them and the franchise, and I think they knocked it out of the park by taking Silent Hill in a unique and exciting direction. Shout out to Kojima too!

Happy to see Silent Hill f make it on the list. In a year of amazing games, it is my personal Game of the Year. Wrapping up my second play through; just can’t put it down!

@undeadly Gotta jump in to balance the negativity for Silent Hill f. I’ve been a fan of this series since the original came out, and I absolutely love SHf. It’s a fresh, unique take, and doesn’t rehash the same thing we’ve already seen. The story hits hard on an emotional level, and twists the series to fit Japanese culture and mythology. It’s challenging, grotesque, and beautifully written. So, to summarize, folks are certainly entitled to their negative opinions, but positive take, Silent Hill f is amazing.

Clair Obscur, definitely. Death Stranding 2, for sure. But for me, Silent Hill f is the winner. The art direction is just phenomenal; creepy, beautiful, creative, and celebratory of Japanese myth and culture. Amazing game, amazing art direction.

Living up to their name… I absolutely love the games that Naughty Dog make, but this is a bummer to hear…

Something about this game feels off. I’m somewhere between the hardcore and casual crowd; played all the fighting games back in the day, but have fallen off in the last decade or so, with GG Strive and Mortal Kombat being the exceptions. Tried the second beta, and just wasn’t having fun. Should have stuck with it longer, but time is limited and I wasn’t feeling it. It’s somehow simultaneously too simple but also too overwhelming; really didn’t like the controls. Meh.

@Apollo2212 Melee and gunplay, ala Alan & Saga… This would be a smart move!

@JuiceboxMeister Yes you do! Alan Wake is a flawed, but still really cool experience. Alan Wake 2, however, is utterly incredible. And with lots of ties to Control! If you buy the physical of Wake 2 you get both games, and it’s much cheaper now. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

WOW! What a trailer! This just hit my #1 most wanted game of 2026. Control is an absolute masterpiece, and this looks… like everything I’d want for a sequel. Same amazing sci-fi world, but switch up the character/combat completely. SOLD. ADD TO CART!

The limited edition one is cool, but at only 300 produced, you better believe the scalpers are gonna pounce on those… Good luck if you’re trying to snag one!

Bummer Mortal Kombat isn’t on there. I can’t speak to its viability in the competitive scene, but I have really enjoyed MK1. 🤷🏻‍♂️

This looks great! Love that there’s multiple playable characters who all look very different to play. Looks very polished too. Really enjoyed F.I.S.T., so this is a guaranteed purchase.

Absolutely love this game, but not sure I needed the combat to be easier on my first story run… Have actually been wishing that I started the game on hard mode! Although I have not made it to the infamous end of the game yet, which apparently people say is a bit of a slog, combat wise. Still good to have options though, I suppose.
Now let’s bring on that performance patch for PS5 Pro…

Enjoyed the first game for like 30 hours and then hit a serious wall. Had unlocked all the skills, turned up to lethal difficulty, and grown bored of the story. Could have trimmed the far and been a much improved experience, for me at least. Haven’t played Yotei, but the weapon variety intrigues me. Sounds like more of the same though, so maybe in a few years once the price has dropped considerably.

Love my Portal! But I rarely use it. However, noticed the other day (after an update) that is has become pretty much lag free! Even tried playing online and had a nearly perfect experience! Fantastic device that I clearly need to use more!

Having finished Cronos: The New Dawn—amazing game, btw—I am now about 4 hours into Silent Hill f. I wasn’t sure how I felt at first, but then it just clicked and now I am absolutely hooked and loving it. Can’t wait to play today!

Good to see y’alls thoughts on your experiences so far. I am not an online multiplayer gamer at all, but this one is really calling out to me. Gameplay looks really fun and rewarding, like sci-fi Factions, and love the ‘raiders and robots’ vibes. May have to go for it, just as I commented on another article today that I haven’t signed up for PS online in years…

Sony’s online multiplayer costs are egregious. Haven’t paid for it in ages, would rather spend the money on software. Bummer though..

I still remember riding the bus home from a field trip in elementary school, with kids talking about the blood code and fatalities for the original Mortal Kombat—my mind was blown when I finally saw it happen! Fast forward to dropping quarters at the arcade (remember those?), trying my best to win against strangers in Mortal Kombat 3. Man I love these games… gotta pick this up…

Not a game that was remotely on my radar; multiplayer games are not my thing. But just watched some gameplay videos, and not gonna lie, this game looks real good.. 😬
