The game lineup for Evo 2026 has been officially unveiled, and while it's clearly going to be a stacked event, there is one notable omission that's already sparking some debate.

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, the Marvel-based brawler from Arc System Works that's being published by Sony, has not been named as an Evo 2026 or Evo Japan 2026 title.

Many had assumed that it would launch at some point in the first few months of next year, guaranteeing a headline showing at Evo — but now, onlookers are starting to wonder whether its launch is actually further off than anticipated.

Having said that, it's entirely possible that Tokon has a release date announcement planned, and it'll simply be added to the Evo roster once it's confirmed. The Game Awards are just around the corner, after all.

Anyway, moving on from Tokon, we've got a total of 12 fighting games to look forward to.

They are:

You would have expected most of these games to be present, but there are a few talking points.

For starters, it's great to see BlazBlue make a return. Arc System Works does seem to be pushing its very anime fighter in these days, considering the recent reveal of BlazBlue Entropy Effect X for PS5.

Invincible VS has made the cut as well, which is interesting given that it — like Tokon — only has a vague '2026' release window. So you can expect this adaptation of the bloody superhero series to launch in the relatively near future.

And finally, you may have noticed there's a distinct lack of Mortal Kombat. NetherRealm's longstanding franchise has fallen off a cliff in competitive terms; its latest instalment, 2023's Mortal Kombat 1, seriously struggled to keep the pros — and their subsequent audience — engaged, and so it's been dropped.

Evo 2026 is set to take place between the 26th and 28th June next year. But will you be watching? Which of these games are you most excited to see? Hit the lab in the comments section below.
