I kept getting told by numerous people and sites that this would be a good game, but everything about it looked horrible. Glad I believed the evidence of my lying eyes.

Good. The focus SHOULD be on single player.

This is actually a good thing. It means they’re just going to make a fun game that doesn’t have to go out of their way to be what EVERYONE wants, it’ll be its own thing. Just like the original was.

More power to them. I’ll be there for it.

I’ve genuinely never heard of this game, and somehow missed whatever review came out of it.

Can't say this is surprising. They'd sell actual games on PS and Switch 2, instead of Gamepass's rentals.

Listen to people and companies when they tell you who they are.

Anyone who reads this and thinks, “Gosh, I definitely need to preorder the next Ubisoft game!” deserves what they get.

As a Sony fanboy I saw the jokes, chuckled at the bit of accuracy in it, and moved on with my life.

Well worth it, in my book. I won’t even touch the trophy thing because that way lies madness, but to each their own!

That said, I always lean on the side of anti-censorship. If it doesn’t affect the game, all good, it’s just the way I roll.

I’m just saying that I’m surprised it wasn’t even brought up in the interview. It was a golden opportunity for the devs to clear up any existing misunderstanding.

@Dutch91 I don’t care for censorship on existing products. PC gamers bought a product and had it changed so they could port it to console.

Just because you’re okay with it doesn’t mean it’s a good thing.

Sure wish you’d have asked why they felt the need to censor the game on PC.

@Oram77 No Pro, I just want to play it on my preferred platform instead of my third-place console.

Forza Horizon 4 and 5 are why I ended up keeping my Series X after getting one last year, and it’ll be nice to have both 5 and 6 on PS whenever 6 comes out!

It’s so tempting to double-dip on this sucker. I have the ultimate edition on series X, and I’d love to enjoy this on PS as well.

If Bananza and Shadow Labrynth didn’t come out this week, I might have done so already.

@Stevemalkpus FH4 and 5 are the main reason I didn’t sell the Series X I bought last year. 5 is such a good game and I’m glad MS saw the writing on the wall and brought it over to PS!

…sure hope there’s an upgrade path, because I bought the first two on sale digitally and the third on disc, and now I’m mildly annoyed at my stupidity.

@Boucho11 I’m sure it is! It’s on my shelf, I’ve owned the physical PS4 copy for a few years. Just haven’t felt a massive pull to play it, especially knowing what happened to Joel. Someday I’ll get to it.

@Propaperpusher You’d lose that bet, as I’ve owned every PS model starting with the original, and I’m currently playing Death Stranding 2. Also been playing video games since the venerable Atari 2600.

So the makers of the game have never themselves experienced the story chronologically. That seems…odd given that they made the game and story...

Funny thing is, no one is demanding that the companies themselves keep servers running forever.

What’s being asked is either an offline play option or us being able to run servers OURSELVES.

@trev666 So over five years Sony closed five studios, but also rolled a sizable number of the employees into other studios.

Microsoft decimated twelve studios under their umbrella, including basically wiping out the team behind Forza Motorsport. In one day.

These two things are not the same.

Fighting for Super Earth? Our XBox brethren’s efforts will contribute to the cause and propel Managed Democracy throughout the known galaxy! There are no XBotters, no PSers, there are only Helldivers.

I was reliably informed by folks here and elsewhere that this game would not do well.

I am shocked, SHOCKED I say that this turned out not to be the case.

Say what you will about Kill the Justice League, but at least they added an offline mode when they knew the game had flopped.

This game will die and the $2 I paid for the disc (overpaid, but eh) will be forever lost to the ether.

I wonder if I could get GameStop to buy it…nope, isn’t even listed as a trade-in-able game anymore. Well, I have a nice EA/BioWare coaster!

@Oram77 In fairness Cyberpunk 2077 the game ITSELF was good, it just sucked on consoles. On PC it was perfectly fine if a bit glitchy. Or so my PC gaming friend tells me was the case when they got it.

CDPR also didn’t go around saying that all the negativity about their game was some sort of concerted negativity campaign, either. They owned it and polished that seeming turd into an actual diamond.

THIS game will not polish anywhere close to that.

I don’t care if their company lays people off. I will not be guilted into playing a crappy game.
