Other than New World, what have they done? I struggle to think of any other games without googling.

@nomither6 I don’t even remember that level, so that’s how much of an impact it made on me during my single playthru of 3.

The Library, though? That level dragged so long that I instantly knew what level this article was referring to without remembering the name of said level.

I played this level for the first time last year on Series X and hated it.

I’ll be glad to see how they un-slog this.

@MrPeanutbutterz I know this may shock you, but not all platinums have to be tooth-grindingly difficult to obtain.

I’m choosing maybe only because I want to know if the game is actually ON the disc.

If it isn’t, then I’ll be happy with my MCC release on series X for the moment. If it is, then I’ll be there day one for PS!

Sounds more like a superhero visual novel with mini games. Unless I’m missing something?

I’ve been tempted but…I have no use for it. All my gameplay is on my tv, I hardly ever even use my Switch as a portable.

Gosh, who would have thought that making a live service game while barely promoting it and not shouting out the ties it has to your previous games’ universe while your latest game in said universe took nearly two years to break even/make a profit would backfire?

Hopefully they can use whatever lessons they learned with this failure on Control 2.

I regret buying this on disc for Series X. I just keep bouncing off of it every time I try to give it another chance.

Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic. There is no reason beyond MS being lazy or wanting the ability to play this game locked behind access to servers in the future.

Saw a patch for it on my Series X last night (I got the game for like five bucks last year) and wondered if that might be it.

Good to know that when I finally get around to playing it in a couple years, it’ll still be usable!

Yeah, that reboot was bad. I tried the PS Plus essential copy and couldn’t get past the first hour.

I’d LOVE to see that 70’s style Saint’s Row, though. Huge potential there.

I’m sure this is all part of a coordinated negativity campaign by the programmers who made the game.

Series X was more powerful (barely) than the PS5 but was held back by MS’s insistence that games run on both X and S, plus their focus on Gamepass and MS’s seeming abandonment of consoles in general.

So if the PS6 is slightly less powerful than the XBox 720SeriesXOXO but actually STILL
HAS AN OPTICAL DRIVE then I think we’re fine.

@JackiePriest Because Part 3 is still a considerable distance off and they’re timing it to be close to the Switch 2/XBox releases of Remake, so why not make some more money in the meantime?

Understandable. Sucker Punch has a history of being well received in Japan with GoT being adored there. Plus the protagonists in both games are Japanese and very much so.

Say what you will about “the chuds” but our Japanese cousins didn’t embrace Shadows for whatever reason or reasons, marketing push or no marketing push, and that’s very telling.

That said, congrats to Sucker Punch!

As a Switch and PS owner, I’m glad to hear this news. Loving my Switch 2. PS5 still gets more playtime but revisiting all the S1 games originally. crippled by the S1 hardware and shining on S2 has been quite pleasant!

Games at new price/release? Maybe five or six a year. Ten if the year is insane. This year was higher than most with DK Bananza, Trails in the Sky and others.

On sale to add to the backlog? Hooooo boy, that’s a different story. My backlog is stupidly huge, and I have PS2 games I’ll probably never play before I die. >.>

As much as I don’t trust Ubisoft to not mess this up, I’d have enjoyed seeing this.

Would definitely have made more sense having a black protagonist in THIS game rather than shoehorning Yasuke into Shadows. There are truly so few Civil War-era games out there, and a pre-during-post Civil War AC game could have done well.

But again…Ubisoft.

The Switch 2 version only does 30fps per the review on Nintendo Life. Does this version aim for/hit 60? I would HOPE so, but these days that’s just not guaranteed.

This is a no-brainer for anyone who picked up the PS Plus version or ever intends to pick the game up. Six bucks now for a later upgrade is a steal.

That said, this is going to definitely be above a .5 on the Concord scale, that scale being 0 to 1 Concord.

Now I want to replay it again. Series X/S owners got the same patch as well, nice to see the love being spread across all current consoles!

@Splat I don’t think anyone expected it not to sell well in Japan. They’re disconnected from any controversy in the US regarding it.

Sam’s Club apparently has series S’s on deep clearance for $175 or thereabouts, depending on location. Similar discounts on the X. If anyone is in the market for one and you’re in the US, might be worth a trip.

If you want one, that is.

Yeah, I’m fine skipping this. Plenty of other games out there for me to play and actually own.

My poll option would be, “I’ll get it used down the road a few years from now.”

I stick with the lowest PS Plus and just…buy my games.

I have a Series X and got a few Gamepass Ultimate 3 month prepaid cards on deep discount last year, still have one in reserve. Holding that for Forza Horizon 6 when that releases, and then will buy it on PS5 down the road.

@Hapless Anthem could have been SO GOOD, but…it wasn’t. I picked up the disc at GameStop a while back for about five bucks and I believe I got most of that $5 back in entertainment.

@Hapless Agreed, though I enjoyed ME3. Since then: Anthem, Andromeda, Veilguard.

BioWare’s recent track record has been…not great, sadly. They haven’t had a good game (in my opinion, I’m sure Veilguard enjoyers disagree but it WAS a flop) since 2014 unless you count the Mass Effect remaster.

Honestly surprised BioWare still exists after Veilguard cratered hard.

The next few weeks should be very interesting.

Just picked up Trails in the Sky 1st, and will hold off. Still undecided about whether to get this for PS5 or Switch.

If anime tropes turn you off from an Atelier game, you probably shouldn’t be playing an Atelier game in the first place, should you?
