I not only played them all in college on my trusty Power Macintosh 7100/66, I also made a couple of single player maps and one of them was included on the Marathon Trilogy box set they released.

So…nice try there, bud. 100% sure you’re dead wrong. The number of hours I spent playing it on the campus network with other like-minded folks was ridiculous.

But please, do tell me what other games I’ve never played in my life. I’m amused by this.

Every time I see the name “Marathon” it makes me wish they’d resurrect the actual original Marathon games. Maybe while they flog this thing, they can do that…

Indiana Jones is well worth your time. I played it on via my Series X and enjoyed the heck out of it. Still annoyed the physical version isn’t the full game on disc (I know, I know, I know) so I’m torn on actually picking it up immediately, especially since I’m focused on Dave the Diver right now!

@OldGamer999 Oh, MP4 has been in development for darn near the entire time the Switch has existed. I’m still shocked (and pleased!) that we’re finally getting it and I’ll absolutely have it on my hopefully-preordered Switch 2!

I just felt the need to toss that in there for full clarity! After all, we also got BotW on Wii U and Switch during the Switch launch. It’s like Nintendo is legally required to release at least one cross-gen title per launch for some reason…

I have the same reaction seeing this list here as I did on Pure Xbox. Incredulity.

This so very, very much. Don’t get me wrong, the English dub quality for the Ichiban-based games is decent overall, but that voice for Kiryu is just not good. At all. I bounced right back to Japanese after hearing it.

I’m a Sony guy first and foremost. But I have been a Nintendo fan since the NES and have owned almost every Nintendo system.

I had the Switch at launch, and I will have the Switch 2 at launch if the fates are kind.

@species That’s the thing that no one seems to realize when they proclaim “see? SEE? Told you it sold/engaged well!” is that Ubisoft still needs to actually make a PROFIT from it.

The amazing amount of money they poured into this demands an equally amazing return on investment. I sincerely doubt that even if it sells as well as everyone thinks it does with the “player” numbers and not “sales” numbers currently being broadcast, it’ll recoup costs to the level they want.

I could be all wet. I doubt I am and I know the spin is very, very in play on both sides. But it’ll be interesting to see how that next financial statement goes. Especially since the credits for the game are, if memory serves from something I read, like TWO HOURS long. That’s…a lot of folks who got a chunk of the budgetary pie…

As someone who doesn’t play Tekken, I welcome these changes and look forward to more!

Any SMT games ported to newer hardware is ALWAYS a good thing. I’ll definitely be buying this.

Now let’s get the DS/3DS SMT games moved over too! Strange Journey, The Devil Survivor biology, SMT4 and its companion game…

@Paramahansa Of course it isn’t and of course they don’t. But Steam numbers are the only actual hard data we have, and they’re very telling.

@Paramahansa Ubisoft won’t say more than “player” numbers and I’m wagering they won’t broadcast actual sales numbers for a few months.

Given that Wilds’ player count on Steam makes Shadows look like some unknown indie game and unlike Shadows you can’t rent Wilds on a subscription service…

I picked up Robocop for Series X for like seven bucks late last year ONLY because of the weird cutscene bug the devs say they can’t/won’t fix on PS5. But now I can try it out on my generally-preferred console and see how much it WOULD have annoyed me!

I’m happy with this month. Don’t care about the massacre, but it’s good to see that Digimon game get some love and after having played part of Robocop, I’m VERY glad to see folks enjoy that one too. So good they got his original actor to voice Murphy!

Other than that one clip in that state of play, I’ve genuinely heard nothing about this game. I forgot it existed till this article was posted.

I look forward to people accusing those of giving scores lower than 9/10 being grifters/outrage brokers/Ubisoft haters.

Edit: Hah, I was too late, already happened. For the record, I did not enter any poll results, as I’ll wait till this game hits the usual Ubi bargain bin level pricing.

I really want the orginal NES version of Life Force to be included in this collection, not just the arcade iteration. I played the absolute heck out of that when I was a kid.

I have to admit, a dark and gritty Pac-Man game was not on my personal bingo card for that Nintendo Direct today. But I’m definitely interested!

@KundaliniRising333 I hate to break it to you, but this is not the case. 99.9% of disc based PS4 and PS5 games have a completely playable version of the game on disc that can still be used even without patches. Please stop spreading this annoying misinformation.

So, do we have confirmation on whether the disc will be playable without an additional download or not? This is info that will actually influence my purchasing it at launch or not, since I already played it via Gamepass.

Edit: looked at the fine print on the picture. Yup, internet connection required to download game. I’m annoyed but sadly unsurprised.

If the industry would be worse off without Ubisoft, then maybe the industry deserves to die.

The industry survived just fine when Ubisoft was smaller. It’ll be just fine after Ubisoft is nonexistent or sold off.

@trev666 The XBox version might be that large. But the PS5 is, as we all know, more efficient with storage and compression technology and the game may fit on a high capacity 100 GB disc. Well know for sure when it actually releases.

@Residentsteven I know what you mean, but given that Harrison couldn’t pull off a “young Indy” voice in the last film when he was CGI’d young…

I can tell you that Troy Baker did a VERY good job when I played the Series X version a couple months back. The voice acting in this game is extremely well done. The first person view was pretty easy to get used to, though I will say there were a few times I really wanted it to go away. But those were few and far between.

Please please let these physical versions be real.

I enjoyed the heck out of this game on gamepass and would love to replay it on my preferred console, but only if I can actually OWN it.

Hopefully MS puts the whole game on the disc. Since the PS5 enjoys the capability of reading high-capacity blu discs, unlike the series X.

The Last of Us gets a PS3, PS4 AND a PS5 version.

God of War 1&2 get a PS2, PS3 and Vita release.

Numerically it seems fair…but dang a straight PS4/5 port of the PS3 collection plus the PSP games would be nice.
