Just wish this had a physical release. And yes, before anyone says “just import it!” dlc is region locked on PS so if I DID import it I couldn’t get dlc for it without another account matching the region I bought it from, and making yet another PSN account just for that is annoying.
I can’t wait for this to Concord so hard that still-owned physical copies of Concord start vibrating out of sympathy, as if trying to shout, “No, not again!!!!”
I was kinda excited for this. Then the physical version not having the game just made me go “nah…I’ll wait.” I’ve got many, many other games to play in the meantime.
JEJ gave permission for Disney to use his voice to portray Darth Vader.
This violated none of that agreement and SAG (as usual) has no real leg to stand on other than “but other union actors!”
Given some of the bad Vaders I’ve heard in games over the years…yeah, I’m pretty okay with this. It might be a crappy chat bot but it’s still a Vader portrayal.
At this point, I’m hoping for Fleekazoid to farm this thing for content before/after it Concords.
Imagine a world where Bungie remakes the ORIGINAL Marathon in a modern engine with an even more fleshed out story. I’d play the absolute heck out of that.
@tameshiyaku Reporting facts isn’t a bad thing. Given the anger behind Sony’s OTHER PC releases being restricted to certain countries on Steam before, it’s annoying that the same has happened this time when a PSN account isn’t even required.
Well, they’ve only had three console generations to work on GTA6, so I can see how a simple 60fps patch for RDR2 just couldn’t be squeezed in with all that.
@tameshiyaku Tell me you know nothing about how hated Denuvo is without telling me you know nothing about how hated Denuvo is.
It causes issues and usually reduces FPS by annoyingly large amounts. I’ve seen comparison videos of a few games before and after someone strips Denuvo out of it, and the difference is NOT small. PC gamers are absolutely right to complain about this, and complain loudly.
Hopefully they actually implemented it in such a way that it genuinely doesn’t impact performance, but it’s still not a great thing to have in there.
And that’s not even getting into the odd region restrictions happening without a PSN account requirement.
Good for them. Hopefully this way they’ll dodge any future PSN account requirements in the next game and everyone will be happy!
They seem to be a very good bunch of devs.
@Frmknst They didn’t “slip away,” they’re just not relying on another company for funding. Why are Sony “losers” for allowing a dev they’ve done great things with do their own thing?
@Boucho11 It would need a little polish for sure, but I enjoyed my two hours with Origins more than my two hours playing the Suicide Squad beta, that’s for sure.
It runs really well on series X, and I should bust out my PS3 and copy of Origins to see how it compares. I don’t THINK it got any fps boosts on MS side…
@Rog-X Completely different situation. Nice try, though. With Nintendo encouraging this crap and now MS diving right in on the disc side, this is a move that is good for no one.
@Secryt So we should just shut up, bend over and take it. Got it.
@cburg Tell me you’re missing the point of this article completely without telling me you’re missing the point of this article completely.
@trev666 Servers being dead won’t keep me from sticking a disc into a functioning console and playing the version of the game on said disc unless it’s live service slop or it’s this key disc malarkey.
Utterly pathetic, and I won’t buy any of these releases. No key cards for Switch, and no key discs for PS.
I can’t wait for the usual “You fools, discs are just keys and don’t have the full games on them anyway!” people to come in and spout the usual lies and misinformation on the topic.
@AhmadSumadi Nah, I just invoked the thing people on both sides do. “If I like a thing and someone doesn’t like it, it’s review bombing and the people who don’t like it are obvious [insert word here]!”
Both sides do it, and it’s hilariously tiresome. I was AGREEING with @Spaceghost.
@AhmadSumadi If the only reason that person watching was because of Pedro Pascal being present? Absolutely.
I haven’t seen a single episode, but you should have heard the normie I work with after that episode came out. She was devastated.
Do I think it’s worth a 1 rating? Nah. But I can see WHY someone would do so.
Edit: there’s always two sides when it comes to things like this, and it always seems that way:
“People are giving the thing I like low scores, they must be review bombing for nefarious reasons!”
“People are giving the thing I don’t like low scores, these are all totally valid and anyone calling this review bombing is an idiot!”
When it’s really “wow, there’s a lot of people who genuinely didn’t like what happened to Joel and appear to not enjoy the direction this is going, AND there’s a lot of people who might be disingenuously throwing 1s in there for nefarious reasons.”
The number might be amplified by the latter, but it sure as hades doesn’t make the former any less valid just because they don’t adore the thing you adore.
@AhmadSumadi If the entire reason someone watched a show is for a character/actor and then that actor’s character is killed quite permanently, you genuinely think that can’t possibly be a valid reason for that person to stop watching said show and/or have a negative opinion about that episode?
@UltimateOtaku91 110%. One of my friends has had EVERY major XBox model starting with the OG. It’s a bit shocking to me that they’re making the jump, but I’m definitely not complaining!
Gosh, I can’t imagine why with MS doing everything it can to destroy its own console lineup and say that everything is an XBox.
Gamepass means MS doesn’t care about hardware and will only make a token effort to keep a console going. Ports of just about all their major franchises are making their way to PS, and I have no doubt that if MS could somehow work out Gamepass access on PS, they would.
At least two people at my workplace have said they likely won’t continue with XBox. One other actually HAS sold their X and gotten a PS5 instead.
Soon it’ll just be Sony, Nintendo and Gamepass, not XBox.
Full disclosure: I own a PS5, Switch and a Series X which is my first and likely last XBox.
@Old-Red I’m reserving my opinion on DLC till I finish the game. But if they can get some quality dlc done and still get a sequel out in a fairly timely manner…I’ll be happy for both.
@NeonTiger This game, unlike other games which got constantly published articles, actually deserves the recognition. Lower price, incredibly well done, makes a bunch of AAAA games pale in comparison.
Just scroll on by if you don’t like seeing the articles.
Also, couldn’t disagree with you more. I’m well into chapter 1 and absolutely loving it. Is there slight jank? Yup. Is it game-breaking? Hell no. And Charlie freaking Cox nails his role.
Comparing this to a shounen anime or a Netflix show is…really, really reaching.

Re: Starfield Should Still Come to PS5 in 2025, and It'll Be in Its Best Shape Yet
Speaking as someone who unfortunately bought Starfield on Series X (albeit at a LARGE discount)…eh.
I’ve tried getting into this game four times now, and I just keep bouncing off. And I love space/sci-fi games.
Re: Analytics Firms Predict Pitiful Full-Price Sales for DOOM: The Dark Ages on PS5
@JohntheRaptor I mean…it kept at least two people on these forums from buying it for full price. So there’s that.

@Northern_munkey Exactly.

@themightyant Whuch is why companies that hide sales numbers behind “engagement” are not to be trusted.
Re: Analytics Firm Predicts Paltry Full-Price Sales for DOOM: The Dark Ages on PS5
Huh. So engagements don’t equal sales and actual revenue.

Actually, make that $10.
Actually, make that free when it gets given away as a PS Essential game down the road.

@Boucho11 I picked up a hard copy of Origins on 360 and started playing it on my series X.
It’s amazing how a game from 2013 surpassed this slop in almost every possible way.
Re: Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Bombed So Hard, Warner Bros' Games Revenue Still Hasn't Recovered
You reap what you sow.
They sowed live action slop with Captain Boomerang and his iconic guns, so they reaped what they deserved.
Re: Intergalactic PS5 Star 'Bootcamp-ing' with Neil Druckmann to Ignore the Haters

You know, what some people perceive as “review bombing” could be “we hate the direction this is going after seeing this episode.”
If it’s against something you like/enjoy, it’s review bombing. Funny how that works…
Person comes to show because of Pedro Pascal: Yay, this show is awesome!
Season 2 with what happens to Joel: “Yeah, I hate this now.”

Hope they don’t pull an AW2 and skip a physical release for a year. That was a big mistake on their part.

Re: 60+ PS5, PS4 Games You Should Buy in PS Store's Next Level Savings Sale
I’m tempted on Sniper Elite, and ONLY after I watched Fleekazoid’s review.
Also, make sure you get Outer Worlds PS4 version, especially if you have a PS5. The PS5 version is really sloppy, the PS4 version is all you need.
Persona 5 Royal is a must-buy for anyone.

Re: Rumour: Six Years of Assassin's Creed RPGs, Remakes, Multiplayer Games Planned at Ubisoft

…unless they make a sequel to South Park: The Fractured But Whole. I’ll give Ubisoft money for that.
Re: Rumour: Six Years of Assassin's Creed RPGs, Remakes, Multiplayer Games Planned at Ubisoft
It’s cute that Ubisoft thinks it’ll still exist in a form that can make AC games six years from now.
