The Dead Space remake — which was announced for PlayStation 5 last year — now has a somewhat vague "Early 2023" release window. It's safe to assume that we'll finally be seeing the game in action at some point over the next few months.
Just to recap, this is a full remake of the original Dead Space, which first launched for the PS3 all the way back in 2008. The remake had previously flirted with a 2022 release, but recent reports suggested that it would be pushed back.
So far, all we've seen of the remade Dead Space is development build footage. Developer EA Motive has said that it's keen to retain the feel and atmosphere of the beloved survival horror title.

I must have played this game a dozen times. Such a great experience, shame they changed it... So yes, aslong as they keep the originals atmosphere in tact and same type of gameplay im definitely looking at forward to it.
Really excited for this. Always had a soft spot for Dead Space.
I would rather just have a remastered trilogy release like we got with Mass Effect, I am not sure this game even needed remade.
1&2 were great. I hope they redo the 3rd game but without EA interference. Having recently played through it I can say it's a disaster. Especially when you hear about the plans Visceral initially had for it and an open world game for the 4th one.
Love Dead Space but EA? not so much. It's doubtful I'll be buying this just for that fact alone. EA are just a horrible Company.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up but I very much have appreciated the devs transparency. But I'm still trying to stifle my expectations.
Never played dead space I'm waiting for them to go on sale on Xbox shame they aren't on ps now

Can't also wait for the massively underappreciated (well not appreciated enough for my taste) Dead Space 2 remake. Absolute stellar of a game, even if it was more action. DS3 went all action though and just bad and forced game design, they can keep that one and work on a reboot
I'll be very much looking forward to this right up until MS buy EA and pull the rug out from under me, making it a Gamepass exclusive 😅

I love the Dead Space series. I'll probably stick with it on Xbox though as I have the first three there.
I have always been interested in this series; but never got around to playing it. With that I would prefer a remaster so I get something closer to the original experience; but this will do as well.
I really want a remastered collection of the original three games. I’d take that over a remake any day.
Same goes for the original inFamous games.

@Vivisapprentice I wouldn't say that. We haven't had a new Need for Speed in a while, so it about time for a new one. EA also just released Grid Legends. Plus I wouldn't be surprised if we get a new Star Wars game this year from them.
@RubyCarbuncle About as horrible as 99% of other corps and such what you happily support. I mean you own a game console right and a mobile phone and have a TV and so on? You already support corps far more evil then EA.

@lolwhatno Its just hypocritical, its like boycotting McDonald's because of how they treat animals while still happily eating a KFC or Burger King. If the poster really believed in botcotting evil corps they wouldn't do a half measure to make themselves feel good. My opinion go all the way or don't bother.
As long as its amazing, take your time. I'm prepared to wait till next year.

I'm happy that there's a remake being made but what I am not happy about is EA trying to cash in on the franchise by making new sequels if the remake does well.
