As far as sound is concerned, all that matters to me is the OST. Yann van der Cruyssen is a prolific yet remarkably unknown musician. Look him up on Bandcamp . com. Send him some love.
Tried a hacked version on PC for an hour. Plays fine, but I don't think that I'll like this game either. I like to cheese games, just for the story, and I know that this game won't take my BS. But I'm willing to try when the base game is about €15.
I REALLY hope that Ragnarok releases this year, but I have my doubts. No matter the reassuring words of Cory. I've started a new GoW playthrough this week. I need to reacquaint myself with the story. Gameplay is totally awesome of course, but the story..., the lore..., and how it's being delivered in this game...❤️❤️❤️
I'd say a 9.5/10. My only critique is to the lack of enemy variation. But I absolutely love this game! The story, the characters and voice acting, game pacing, challenge, the graphics, the music and sound design. Truly a piece of art.
Let me be the first to say.... It's an original design, but I think it's FUGLY!!! Maybe it will be less so in black. Same for the controller. Also pretty bummed out that there are no triggers/paddles on the back of the controller
Too bad, not in Europe. The aftermarket prices for this thing are absolutely ridiculous. I really hope that the PS5 controller gets the back buttons right out of the gate, but I don't think so. We probably have to pay extra for a "pro"/"elite" controller.
I wonder how much the max speed of their servers was and how much it is now. I finished downloading a 17GB game just now. Still at the maximum speed my connection allows, 100Mbit, or roughly 10MB/sec.
@Sanctanox I understand the wish to have your entire library available to you at all times, but does it really justify such a huge investment into storage? Memory chip prices will definitely go up this year.
Personally, I only keep my absolute favorite games on an external 1TB HDD and the games I currently play on a 1TB SSD in my PS4. The rest I'll redownload as I go along.
Elite/Scuff controllers are too expensive for most people. For me too. But I think two programmable back buttons should become the new standard. That wouldn't be too expensive to include. Game devs wouldn't have to use them, but let it up to gamers to use them or not. I can think of several games for which I would remap the buttons.
No new Mass Effect for me until they've completely fixed Andromeda. So, new animations, new scripts, better voice actors, more story, better antagonists, and actual plot with a massive cliffhanger. When they've fixed that game, they can start working on a sequel, because in all honesty...Andromeda had the potential to go for a trilogy.
Also, EA....don't you DARE shoehorn micro transactions into the campaign.
@Callmegil
To make the way too long answers you got a lot shorter. Sony are not limited to standard PC motherbord designs. If they want a removable SSD with M.2 or PCI-E 4.0 connector accessible to consumers, then they can easily do so. Look how easy it was to add / replace the hard drive of the PS3 Ultra Slim. All it took was removing one screw and a tray.
Personally I hope the PS5 will support external storage though USB 3.1
@Callmegil SATA is slow. PS5 will either use M.2 connectors, which allows for much faster transfer speeds. And even PCI-E 4.0 is a possibility. It will probably be a proprietary form factor SSD though. Which means it will be expensive!
AC: Odyssey. 80 Hours in. About 75% of main story done. Likewise for the side quests and the visited regions. It's a grind, but a good grind. Now I actively look for trouble in order to get mercenaries on my tail. So much fun to ambush them.
I have enough to play now, but this game has been on my wish list since the previews. I'll buy it around Christmas time. ACG on youtube has a nice review for it, if people are interested.
None. Really looking forward to The Outer Worlds, but on PC and not on Epic, so next year. This year's Halloween game will be Luigi's Mansion 3 for me. I'll get Medevil next year too. CoD...blegh!
Three solid weeks on AC: Origins and I haven't even touched the DLC. This game is massive and beautiful. And the gameplay loop is sooo addicting. I'm gonna have to go for platinum with this one.
Yes easy mode in games is appreciated, unless in jeopardizes the artistic vision of the devs. Sekeiro is too difficult for me, but I don't think that game would be as good as if an easy mode existed. I'm glad to watch someone else play it.
I've bought my PS4 little over a year ago and I've bought about 30 titles since. That includes a lot of blockbuster titles. Sony is king of the single player experience and I absolutely love them for that!!
RDR2 of course. I'm stalling in chapter 2. And when I mean stalling, I mean 40+ hours.... I'm moseying through the world, discovering, perfecting my hunting, doing small quests, doing chores in camp, listening to Dutch's boring speeches, finding out the backstories of the rest of the gang, making some money and taking it all in. This game is beautiful and so relaxing! Tonight I'll get a move on...promise.
External storage is so cheap, so except for some extreme use cases 2TB really seems like overkill. I have dozens of games installed on my 1TB HDD and still have room left. I hope the PS5 gets an SSD.
Just finished downloading the pre-install on my Pro. 98.15GB. And that is excluding the pre-order bonus content and the special edition content. Those will download later, I guess?

Nah... The building is missing the PS logo and Sony brand.
Re: Assassin's Creed Valhalla Update Should Fix Major Seer's Solace Quest Bug
The bugs are small but numerous. It's annoying me to a level that I've put the game down for now. I'm gonna wait for a couple of patches first.
Re: All PS5 First-Party Exclusives
Playing through Ratchet & Clank on PS4 right now. It's a simple game but so much fun! Really looking forward to the sequel.

Pffff... I'm only just 40 hours into Origins. I'll get Odyssey next Christmas and this new game on PS5 maybe. I love games in viking settings though.

Assassin's Creed Origins and Dirt Rally.

Wipeout Omega Collection and finishing Undertale on Switch. Not going to start another game before RDR2

April 26th huh. They better not let it slip again. Otherwise it will be up against The Last Of Us 2, which I think will release in June.
