Assassin's Creed Valhalla Seer's Solace Bug

We really like Assassin's Creed Valhalla, but there's no denying that in its current state, the game is extremely buggy — especially on PS4. Fortunately, the vast majority of these bugs aren't game-breaking — most are purely cosmetic — but there is one specific issue that's been causing a lot of headaches since the game's launch last week.

Basically, there's a quest called Seer's Solace very early on in your Viking adventure. It's a quest that you must complete in order to progress the story, but for some players, it simply refuses to begin. It's unclear how this bug actually occurs — some have put it down to playing around in the open world instead of rushing straight to the objective — but the bottom line is that it's a game breaker.

Thankfully, Ubisoft has been made well aware of the problem, and it's deployed a hotfix. To be clear, this isn't your usual update — you don't have to download anything. The hotfix is server-side, so the next time that you play Valhalla, the Seer's Solace quest should just... Work. If you're already running the game, be sure to close it down and restart.

A more permanent fix is apparently coming with the title's first big update, which will release "later this month". Let's hope that it cleans the title up good and proper.
