We really like Assassin's Creed Valhalla, but there's no denying that in its current state, the game is extremely buggy — especially on PS4. Fortunately, the vast majority of these bugs aren't game-breaking — most are purely cosmetic — but there is one specific issue that's been causing a lot of headaches since the game's launch last week.
Basically, there's a quest called Seer's Solace very early on in your Viking adventure. It's a quest that you must complete in order to progress the story, but for some players, it simply refuses to begin. It's unclear how this bug actually occurs — some have put it down to playing around in the open world instead of rushing straight to the objective — but the bottom line is that it's a game breaker.
Thankfully, Ubisoft has been made well aware of the problem, and it's deployed a hotfix. To be clear, this isn't your usual update — you don't have to download anything. The hotfix is server-side, so the next time that you play Valhalla, the Seer's Solace quest should just... Work. If you're already running the game, be sure to close it down and restart.
A more permanent fix is apparently coming with the title's first big update, which will release "later this month". Let's hope that it cleans the title up good and proper.

the most anoying bug i have so far is that during raids the audio likes to stutter.
i'm playing with a headset.
The bugs are small but numerous. It's annoying me to a level that I've put the game down for now. I'm gonna wait for a couple of patches first.
It’s not a Assassins Creed game if it’s not buggy. Really Ubisoft has transformed it’s self, in my eyes, from the best game developer to just a cash grab studio, getting really close to EA. Lost their focus with other titles. Prince Of Persia, Splinter cell, Beyond Good & Evil. They should just change their name in to “Open World Studios”
Great stuff. Great service by ubisoft
I’ve only had a few crashes but not seen a single bug. No strange AI activity, no broken or missing quests or icons. I’ve had a good experience in my 30+ hours so far
Seer quest bug was annoying, I had to reinstall the game and replay almost 3 hours. Some of the bad writing annoyed me more..win flyting from jungulf and he says you win, take your gold..you gain 200 silver..
Playing on PS4 and finding it very buggy and glitchy, lots of little issues but nothing major so far. PS5 due Thursday (hopefully) so may delay playing until after Astro and Miles, hopefully be patched into a better state by then. Also in 60fps on PS5.
I'm sorry, but that game runs thru server? What if I don't connect to internet?
I've been getting a weird but annoying bug where my shield gets un-equiped if I go through a loading screen with my spear equiped, and also my constantly helmet hiding itself again after un-hiding it in the inventory.
It's seriously annoying. It's so minor, but it keeps happening and I'm slowly losing my mind.
Will this game get a second review after a few patches?. I am interested in the game but not in its current buggy state.
I started the game on a PS4 Pro and worked my way through one of the first alliance story arcs in England, coming across only dialogue bugs where dialogue wasn’t starting when it was supposed to leading to some characters talking over each other. Outside of that, I had no real issues.
Since Sunday I have been playing the PS5 version of the game and chose to begin a new adventure entirely as the male Eivor instead, and going through generally the same path as before on the PS4, I found even less bugginess. No dialogue issues at all. The only very minor issue I’m having is visual and could easily be the fault of my tv and not the game or console itself.
Played 45 hours and now everyone apart from the blacksmith the shop owner and tattooist won’t speak to me I have legendary animals to hand in and fish and hunting supplies and can’t do nothing so restarted now having bugs where I kill people who hold wealth and the icon still remains saying I haven’t done it. These bugs are really starting to get on my nerves. Only been since I completed Norway and took my spoils of war with me that this has happened thinking of just deleting and reinstalling the game
