@PSbox considering how the bar has been raised for that style of game(botw/totk, elden ring, crimson desert, kcd2, etc.) it would have to be far better than whatever bethesda or others have released.

Most xbox exclusives aren't worth shelling out the $800+ for their consoles. And the fact that a few third party games decide to forego releasing on xbox' means less games to play. Unless those things and the prices change, xbox(and helix) have an uphill battle next gen.

Capcom has got the right idea. Release great games, then after awhile, lower the price.

No. Whats the point when so many games, for a long time, will be cross-gen? And what is the reason? Slightly better resolution and frames for older games? Games load a bit faster than the ps5? More particle/sweat effects?

Cod3 and it's ww2 setting was my first interaction with the series. It was bombastic and fun. Then the jump to the mw setting was epic for me. Bought 1 and 2. But I didnt play the series again until the new mw released. But then they did something with the hub and I wasn't able to play the campaign with my physical disc. After that it was all meh. I played a few warzone matches, but the rampant cheating/hacking turned me off further.

I feel the players of the last 20+years have moved on to other games, and they haven't really done anything to bring in the newer generation of gamers. But I suppose there will always be the fans who play every iteration. Like the sports gamers.

It probably has to do with marvel fatigue. I haven't heard much about the tokken fighting game since launch either. I think that game sold less than a 800k.

I grew up in the era of uwe boll. It can't be worse than those.

I didn't vote, because I haven't played it yet. Just waiting for a sale. I've stopped buying (most)games at launch, especially single player games. But I do look forward to my time with it.

Seems like America and uk are the only places that seem to have a genuine issue with gen ai, like personal issues. Other regions, not so much. My father watches Korean programs/news, and they seem to use it frequently.

Dang. Younger, broke, with free time me would've loved all these f2p games. But older, less broke, even less time me can't even fathom trying to start a never ending live service game. Especially with great games coming out and my ever growing backlog just staring at me.

So how does it work? Does a dev get contracted to make a game, receiving a set amount of funding to make the game, while covering the devs pay, rent/lease of property, the required software to develop, future patches/updates, etc? If so, is this just gross mismanagement of said funding? Pocketing by higher ups? Anyone with insight to the process?

When was this implemented? Did ps3 and 4 digital games have the same wording? Or is this a recent development with ps5 software?

Bought a physical xbox one copy at launch. Bought a digital copy on series x|s on sale, so i could play on my s while camping. Bought it again on pc, on sale so i could play on my laptop while in korea. The cross-save ability was a huge factor. And one more time on switch 2. The entire game w/dlc was on cart, how could i say no? 😅My name is veganh and I have a problem.

That scene in the first(?) trailer where the old guy is talking to dude on the ladder from his truck, then walks into the house. I feel that is reminiscent of switching characters in gta v, when the character is in mid moment. I think that'll be a good representation of the graphics. Now whether the game will run at 30 or 30+fps is a different story.

Considering how long it took them to leave the ps4 behind, I can imagine the ps5 being supported long into the ps6 gen. Taking into account my massive backlog and how long it might take me to clear, I might be good on next-gen gaming altogether.

SanDisk is sniffing their farts a bit too much. A quick amazon search shows a couple 1tb ssd gen 4 with read and write speeds of 7000+, for $165ish.
