That scene in the first(?) trailer where the old guy is talking to dude on the ladder from his truck, then walks into the house. I feel that is reminiscent of switching characters in gta v, when the character is in mid moment. I think that'll be a good representation of the graphics. Now whether the game will run at 30 or 30+fps is a different story.

Considering how long it took them to leave the ps4 behind, I can imagine the ps5 being supported long into the ps6 gen. Taking into account my massive backlog and how long it might take me to clear, I might be good on next-gen gaming altogether.

SanDisk is sniffing their farts a bit too much. A quick amazon search shows a couple 1tb ssd gen 4 with read and write speeds of 7000+, for $165ish.

That's good to hear. Nothing takes me out of a game more so than walking past an npc doing one thing forever. Morning? Laundry. Night time? Same spot doing the same laundry. That guy in town talking to his friend? After leaving the town and doing 20 quests, still there chatting away.

Like gta vi, most games on the list I'll purchase when on sale/discounted. I'm done buying games on release. You get a better version, cheaper just by waiting.

@Member_the_game using your example, selling an apple at £3, but now the same apples cost YOU £4 to purchase said apples to resell. Continuing to sell them at £3 would be a loss and not profitable. So, logic dictates you would up the price to £5, right?

I don't play many online games. And the catalog doesn't look that enticing. After dropping ps+ and game pass, i just buy the games I want and focus on those. And my backlog is like a subscription service full of games I like, cause I bought them(just haven't got around to playing them).

I have never played on a pro or seen one in action, so i don't know what I'm missing. And I think the games on my base ps5 look just fine.

Gyro is nice, but imagine if they implemented psvr2 somehow. Having lightgun games on psvr2 is a missed opportunity, I think.

They might reconsider after the slow going of saros. But I don't think it'll sell well on pc either. So, whatever. I have all 4.

For ps/switch/xb I tend to buy physical games when they have a discount. If an xbox game has "play anywhere" attached to it, I'll buy digital.

Sekiro on steam deck is surprisingly good. 40fps, medium graphics, and i finally got to juzou the drunkard. It's hard, for me, but enjoyable.

Did it deserve the praise? No one "deserves" anything. Did it earn the praise? Yes it did. A small studio, with a new IP, created a great game and rpg. It's very simple. If you didnt care for it, that's fine too. But it did earn all the accolades it's gotten.

I feel like games that could easily receive a patch to run better(bloodborne, rdr2, etc) on ps5/xbsx will just get a remaster, costing more instead of free. I understand they are businesses, but nickel and diming us to death for stuff that could easily be done for free is absurd.

United States here, and after turning my ps5 on, I'm met with a new EULA. Playstation Terms of Service, Section 8.16 "Access to Purchased Items" it states, "You are solely responsible if you do not choose to download or access the product before it is removed or your license expires.." so maybe the 30 day handshake/license renewal thing isn't a mistake. Just something Sony pushed through before sending out the new terms of service.

Meh. I got rid of pretty much all my subs, from video streaming to games. When it comes to shows, I'll sub for a month once the entire season is on there or if they have a cheap offer($3 a month, etc.). And for game subs, I'll just buy a game i want instead.

Rush it for summer release and risk it being janky; release it on time only for it die at gta vi's feet; delay/polish and release it in 2027. But I'm intrigued by what devolver digital has planned. They've insisted on releasing something same day as gta vi.

Ps1 was a great cd player as well as console. Ps2 was a DVD player. Ps3 had the bluray player. 4 had an awesome library, while 5 didnt really bring anything to the table. The ps6 needs something to justify the higher price point other than "slightly better frames and resolution" or "hey, play your older games a bit better", especially if games are going to be cross gen with the ps5 halfway through its existence.

Looks like ps5/xbsx will be the last generation of consoles i buy. Backlog and older games for me.

They're conditioning us for the ps6 price. 899,99€ for the ps5 pro, OR 949,99€ for the ps6. And if you think console/pc component prices are going to go back down when things stabilize, have i got bridge to sell you.

I remember when consoles dropped in price after some years on the market. Pepperidge farms remembers.

All they had to do was have prices for ps+ members and prices for non. An incentive to subscribe, etc. But they decided to do whatever it is they are doing.

Imagine being a dev for the studios that closed. If you were working on something, you can't really show any of your work because of disclosures, ndas, etc. So you have this gap of a few years in your resume where you have to convince jobs, "seriously, what I was working on/doing was good."
