Huh, REAL devs find a way not to release an unoptimized game.

Is the live action starting with the Greek trilogy or just the Norse ones? Just seems like the Greek ones have more diverse areas to explore, gods and titans to kill, etc. The norse ones seem a bit sparse. Walking through the "realms" fighting the same troll and draugr and elves. Can't wait to be proven wrong.

Animes did wonders for cyberpunk and dmc sales. Maybe if enough interest or views it'll entice them to make another or remake chaos theory...with mercs vs spies.

If i remember correctly, the og ps5 shipped with 825GBs, but after os/etc., there was about 670GBs available. They got rid of the "8k" logo and went back to the smaller ssd. Cool.

Considering it cost anywhere from $15-$30M to dev, 4.4M copies at $50(more with the special editions) brought them $154M+(after the digital taxes to storefronts). That is a massive success by many measurements.

I played the first one because I was excited to see what they did to it. New look? New gameplay, etc.? After playing it, 😬, im in no rush for rebirth and the third one.

Who asked for this? And why would someone answer the call? All that time and money could've been spent on a new ip or a better game series to remaster.

Game pass and ps+ are optional services for both users and devs. No one is forcing(except ms studios😆) any party to partake. Just saiyan.

That's the vibes I'm getting from this particular release.

600k units is, depending on edition, $16-$24M(adjusted for ms' 30%) for a game they already had. If other Playstation ips can do similar numbers then i don't see why Sony wouldn't. Even 200k units is enticing numbers.

Spiderman, days gone remastered, or returnal will be next. They'll test the waters with an old ip. It'll bring in $40M after fees and that will open the floodgates. Or maybe I'll find my marbles.

I bought my legacy of thieves ps4(500gb) for $250+tax, back in 2017. This gen, console prices have just gone up, games have been fewer. The ps5 pro is $700, for now. If the next console gen is $800-$1000, with games being fewer because of dev time AND more expensive to make/sold for, that might be a problem for the industry and consumers.

I believe graphics have reached a plateau last gen. This gen it's "particle effects." Meh. Tlou2, rdr2 awesome. Keep games looking equal to those but polish up the gameplay and optimizations. I mean ffxvi, stellar blade, alan wake 2 do not look that much better than rdr2.

Sony is such a large tech company. Hardware-centric could mean less cameras, audio players, etc. And using existing ip in other forms of media just makes dollars and sense. Also, investing in other software companies, ie bandai namco.

Maybe more ps ips in movie/anime form. What if an "astro's amusement park" is in the works? Ps ip easter eggs everywhere in the form of astro bots(although, i guess that would be SUPER Hardware-centric😅).

Sony saw what forza horizon 5 made and thought, "helldivers 2 could do that..and maybe others." And it wouldn't cost that much to port a game over, right? A million copies, that's an easy $28-$40M(accounting for ms' 30% cut, and which edition players bought).

Returnal, demon's souls next? Imagine if this porting/money making actually got Sony to remake bloodborne.

Sony maximizing profits before everything can play everything.

Too many great games to focus on a "good" one, not too mention all the activities outside of gaming. Finite time and money means we have to be selective. A demo would've gone a long way.

This reminds me of futurama. Bender gets kicked out of a casino. Then threatens to make his own casino with hookers and slots. Sony kicks ms out of the casino(multiplatform deals). So ms makes it's own platform that has hookers and slots(steam and epic on xbox).

Could you imagine booting up the first game on launch day and seeing all the bridges around because of early access people.

They could've made a killzone or resistance game for psvr2. They could've brought out the time crisis series. Imagine if cyberpunk 2077 had vr, ala resident evil 4, or rdr2. Seems like a lot of missed opportunities, that's all.

The devs/pubs need to calm down. If their game is great it will make many doubters look childish. But if the game is mediocre and just trying to ride the coattails of its/devs/pubs former pedigree then it deserves the hate.

Off topic, kinda, we got the ps 1,2,3,4 themes back on the ps5. I chose the ps1 theme, but I get the ps5 startup screen. Is that normal?

Meanwhile, earning ms reward points. Redeeming them for game pass ultimate. Haven't paid for it in 3+ years. Also got a razer turret for half off with pts. Lifetime pts earned 718k pts. In its entirety stars gave me $10, and thats with me spending money.

Considering 2yrs ago they showcased fairgame$, concord, and marathon i think it's best if Sony kept quiet.
