@RogerRoger I agree and have been saying this for a long time. Why give away AAA games that a large majority already owns. I would much rather these niche games or indie games I would have never tried otherwise.

I've owned 3 of the last 4 games given away and already own dark souls and dying light. Everybody absolutely praised the last two months. Now they have a down/niche month and everyone loses their minds...

@Bear99 Chrono Trigger being remade with todays graphics but keeping with Toriyama's art vision (like they do with the dragonball games) and keeping the original music, story, and keeping it turned based... They can have all my money...

This is just a semi regular update on games and playstation nation in general. Its more personal than a stage and i can watch it at my convenience so to me they are great.

Loved the first game. Will get #2 day one.
Of all the soulsbourne play-a-likes this was my favourite by far.

How much money do they make off PS plus each year? Might be worth it to them to sell a monster console at a loss...

Would be kind of funny to see something xbox started give their competition an edge like that...

Either way... If it's under $600 i will buy it day one

First game that came in my head:
PS1 - Gran Turismo
PS2 - Kingdom Hearts (and the Guy Game)
PS3 - Puppeteer
PS4 - Bloodborne

I did not start playing them until ps4. But i liked the two i played (4 and gat outta hell) I would definately pick up the next one.

I think all of these studios would be excellent acquisitions with insomniac and kojima being the "blockbuster" signings.

Every studio wants their independance so I think thats goes for every studio. It comes down to financial security, job security and the bottom line. The more a company needs financial security the cheeper it is to obtain. Sony could buy EA if they wanted to spend enough money.

They just wanted to save money on jiggle physics

@consolfreak1982 ff8 was definately the best ff by far. I have the psone version on the vita though, so they will have to show me a reason to buy this as Vita is life...

Please be excited! In my opinion they had the best conference this year. Next to Sony...

@Shigurui @playstation1995 easily one of the best happy suprises this gen. I also really liked the first one... 8-8.5 for me as well. Hopefully leaving the factory setting will help with the environments. Definately a day one for me and I dont normally buy day one

As someone who loves the inFAMOUS series I want a 1/2 remake, 1/2 reboot. Take the best elements of the first one (cole, main story, powers, etc) and do a re-imagining of the rest.

Im drooling already... Imagine the tower city made for ps5...

People complained about getting the surge as a plus game? I had already owned it and I was happy it was on plus for the people who would not otherwise enjoy such a great game... Its not a flawless game.. But I loved the spin it took on the souls series. Cant wait for #2.

Its starting to feel like if if its not a top 5 game in everyones wishlist they will complain about plus... I mean Aprils games had an everyday value of a subscription... And theres still 11 months...

Late to the party but notice this statement form their source says "more advanced" and not "more powerful" more advanced could mean a lot of things... Maybe to Microsoft no disk tray is "more advanced" maybe building a kinect into the front of the system is "more advanced".

I am pretty sure considering its a Youtube xbox fanboy getting information from an inside source that if it was more powerful they would make it very very clear.

Something about Concrete Genie is giving me the same feeling as puppeteer... Which was one of my top 5 games all last gen. So Im definately going to buy it.

I love me some T-Sushi-ma (only way i will remember how to spell it)... Anything sucker punch brings out is day 1 for me. As much as I want a Cole comeback this game is just "wow" .

Late the party... I was a wood elf ranger on Everquest 20 years ago. Splints suited the character and its been my name since.

I feel like everything Microsoft does is backwards and always feels so... Corporate.

I dont think MS or Nintendo or Sony buying up existing studios is healthy for the industry. The best thing I have heard out of microsoft in a long time is that they had created a studio. You have the money and the resources... Build the industry...

This really feels like "We have a problem... Throw money at it!!"

Diablo 3 works for me. I have it for pc and havent touched it since the year it came out. I heard the couch coop on the ps4 version is fun so I would play it again.

I would rather have Slime Rancher or Hello Neighbour as the second game as my kids are bugging me for those two and I own Nioh.

@beemo It is definetly light on what I would call "RPG" but with the Yakuza series on here I figured it fit their criteria.

Really enjoyable read. I would have put "the Surge" and "Infamous" in my top 30 RPGs and I definately wouldnt have dragons crown anywhere near this list.

I always think its fun to see other peoples favourites and opinions and all that... Now stop forgetting about Infamous!!

I love rocket league... Its my go to "couple of minutes to waste" game. But I am not a fan of the crate system and this sounds even worse... Just put a list of items up in an in game store where people can buy them or grind them out.

@KidBoruto The story is adequate to push you moving through the areas... It will in no means blow you away but it stands on its own. A lot of the story is through your interactions with people and audio files so you will get as much out of the story as you want.

I personally enjoyed the story and had a blast with the game but I could also see how people could find the story the weakest part of the game... I hope that helps?

The day I have to log into an xbox live account to play games is the day I quit gaming.

As for crossplay itself... I dont care or want it, however, Sony should just say that they will allow it as long as everyone using it from another system has a plus account. It would kill crossplay on xbox as not many people would want two accounts and it would be the same on switch as they would probably opt for ps plus over live.

After a couple of months after announcing crossplay in this way they could cancel it saying that there wasnt any interest in it. Done.

My opinion is that there are a couple hundred vocal xbox/switch owners on the internet that are very salty about picking the wrong box and wanting to play with their friends.

I hope Diego comes with his tiny tiger. Lets keep Dora away from this one though. 😉

@LaNooch1978 I definately didnt name call dude. I absolutely think spiderman is an overhyped superhero. I can admit the game looks tight though and I can see why people are hyped.

@kyleforrester87 I responded after your first two posts and did not see your others. I apologize as I didnt see where your thoughts were going. I think the appeal (and again im not a fan of Spidey) is that he is a nerdy unpopular teenager who all of a sudden has to deal with puberty and having super strength and senses at the same time. On top of that he has a high IQ (having been nerdy beforehand) giving him a fairly broad since of powers to use.

What you stated as cockiness is him having what I would call a "pg deadpool" as in his sense of humour just not x-rated and a sense of invinsibility as a teenager. I think what really makes people love him though are the villians he faces as they differ from brute strength (Rhino) to mad genious (doc oc) to alien (venom) to weird magic (mysterio). I guess its true that characters are only as good as their villians. (I also think that is a lot to do with Batmans popularity)

Wonder how well the spidey ps4 bundle sold on pre-orders for them to raise the forcast by a million after only selling about 3 million in that quarter. I know it sold out where I am but how many were available?

@R1spam lol my daughter loves paw patrol as well. My household will have this over RDR2. I dont buy games that put me to sleep and RDR2 has to prove to me it wont after the first one.

I had so much fun with my buddy and twisted metal so a reboot of that series would be gold to me. (hopefully a more flushed out tournament style story).

@nhSnork Thank you for clarifying a lot of that for me. (I dont have any intention of playing fortnite). Has it been clarified that Sony is blocking account transfers? Most people moving accounts would be coming from the PS4... Has anyone tried moving from Switch to PS4?

As much as cross-play is a feature they can market... We all know if they were in Sony's shoes they would be doing what Sony is.

Little Nightmares. Even though its 9.99 in the NA sale I still cant pull the trigger on buying it even though it looks interesting.

The Surge. I recently bought this and beat it. OMG was it good. It needs more love so I would forgo a free game for people to play it

I think Im lost with all this cross play stuff...
Why should you be able to switch your character over from the ps4 to the switch? Has any other game in the history of gaming allowed you to transfer progress from one system to another?

Also, there's no point in allowing cross play with the switch as it can be hacked easily and nintendo cant stop it, so... Yeah please dont do that. And xbox has like 100 people... Why arent people crying about cross play between ps4 and the atari jaguar ffs... Im assuming most of the people complaining do that for a living.
