The Saints Row franchise has gone into hiding ever since the PS4 remaster of its fourth entry came and went more than four years ago, but it looks like a return is on the cards. It has been confirmed that Volition is now "deep in development" of an all-new entry in the franchise.
As announced in THQ Nordic's latest report, "Volition is deep in development of a brand-new Saints Row game, the first full entry in this much loved series since Saints Row IV was released in 2013." It's certainly nice to have confirmation that a proper sequel is on its way, possibly releasing for PS4 just before the next generation hits. Inevitably, there would be a PS5 remaster at that point a year or so down the line.

If it's anything like Saints Row 2, I'm in. That game was dope, don't like 3 and 4 that much.
If it's like the last couple,no.
I didn't like the bosses characterisation of being a complete and utter psycho in 2. Plus it was still just a reskin of incredibly drab GTA.
3 and 4 were pretty good at painting them as more loveably nuts or as they'd say a puckish rogue. Just as long as I can use Troy Baker and Laura Bailey as the male and female voices I'm good to go! Give me the wackiness!
Definitely 1 and 2 was where it was at, then it started to get ridiculous after that. A reboot that's like the first two would be cool.
I enjoyed 2, 3, and 4, so to be honest I would definitely pick up a 5th game. Fantastic character creation suite.
well i hope they go back to sr2 like game instead everythough pc port is c*** game is over the top fun.
About time. However, as much as I loved 4, I kinda hope it returns to the slightly more grounded set up of the third game. The superhero stuff was awesome but it did render some of the more basic stuff a little unnecessary, like vehicles and often even the weapons.
Saints Row is fantastic fun, would love another one.
Saints Row 2 was great. Shaundi was so much better as a stoner hippy chic than a skeez.
I loved 2, 3 and 4 so I'm cautiously excited for it. They need to have the character creation again given that was a huge part of the previous games. Agree with the comment above about the main character in 2 being a bit of a psycho though.
Saint's Row 2 was a fantastic and fun game,then they all went totally down hill.I'd be happy for a remake to be honest at least you would know it's going to be great.
Can't wait, loved SR2 and 3 (4 was okay) plus AOM is a underratted game and everyone should play it at least once!
so now they finally listen to what people want after making that horrible game that no one wanted.

I've only played a little bit of Saints Row 2 but remember enjoying what I played.
Still hoping they plan to release a Saints Row 1-3 Collection on PS4.
Finally more Saints Row, I thought they would go down the drain with AOM. Cannot wait to see more Professor Genki 😁😁😁
I did not start playing them until ps4. But i liked the two i played (4 and gat outta hell) I would definately pick up the next one.
