May 2020's PlayStation Plus games have been officially revealed. And no, sadly you're not getting Dying Light and Dark Souls Remastered, as was previously rumoured. This disappointment has already prompted one of the worst received months ever.
Indeed, May's PS4 lineup includes two simulation games in city builder Cities: Skylines and agricultural adventure Farming Simulator 19. Don't shoot the messenger, but do let us know what you think of the selection in our PS Plus poll. At the time of writing, over 60 per cent of you are unhappy with the additions.
To be fair, these are good games, though. In our Cities: Skylines PS4 review, we awarded the release an 8/10, describing it as a "hard game to fault".
With Cities: Skylines, developer Colossal Order has laid the foundations for the city-building genre to return to consoles. Simple controls, immeasurable details, and accessible gameplay all ensure that the urban planning sim is a fun yet challenging experience.
We never got around to reviewing Farming Simulator 19, but have enjoyed previous instalments in the series. For example, in our Farming Simulator 17 review, we explained that "you're going to need to be patient to get the most out of it, but if you've ever dreamed of being an agricultural extraordinaire, then this is a series now very much in its hay-day". The sequel improves upon that.
The two titles will be available to download from Tuesday, 5th May. If you'd like a recap, then you can view All Free PS Plus Games in 2020 through the link.
