Roguelike design really feels lazy to me compared to classic design of games. I am feeling the same about open worlds too unless they are really meticulously designed.
All in all, great news. If it's not outrages price, Day 1!
Resident Evil Requiem and it's not even close. Even though I am not over the moon so far, it's what want in AAA blockbusters. Grace's survival horror section is so much fun though.
Yeah, I hate "Exclusives are bad for costumers" sentiment. When the proper care is given exclusives are the pinnacle of gaming. They always have been. I'm glad Sony is going back to basics and how it should be. If only Xbox didn't have to go multiplatfom.
@RBMango
I'm a firm believer in exclusives, and I'd gladly miss out on a few games due to not owning the system if it meant Xbox was thriving and competitive in that space again.
Hope Hexe will have actual mission designs. Every review I saw said the missions was whatever and they design the game to update it with mediocre content as "missions".
This is mainly as you can't (and don't want to) kill every enemy in the grace sections straight away, and boss fights are a bit more 'unique'.
I learned this the hardy way when I didn't have any ammo and had to go back to save from 20 minutes ago. Never happened in any of my RE walkthroughs other than 0. I am still in Grace's section though and things start to get better and flowing.
Don't get me wrong I still liked Californaia and where it ended up, the emotional finale etc; I was even the opposite of you when we shift there "Please don't let this calmness be the end" so I was relieved. But it definetely caused pacing issues.
And yeah, I am 4-5 hours in and loving the survival horror part and all that gameplay loop. Hope I like it even more.
Who wans to bet that the footage we supposedly will get from consoles won't be anywhere near detailed as their other PC focused videos and it will just be something brief with "Captured from PS5 Pro" etc.
And if they are still cooking the console ports while showing PC side again and again, there is every right to be concerned.
I am big comic book fan and excited for Doomsday. If Rivals gameplay was anything near enjoyable when I tried it I would definetely try those. Still, great marketing for sure.
About length, while I don't have problem with a 10 hours game; RE4 shows that you can do great survival horror at 15+ hours so it's not an outrages request or even remake showed that which I heard added new things etc. and praised even more than Requiem.
I am still in 4-5 hours in but Grace is awesome. She is going to be my beloved there with Jill&Leon. You can feel the horror in every line she delivers. Great work.
Another thing is I have yet to feel the overwhelming positivity about it while it's definetely good, hope it happens at some point.
You can't even imagine how much I missed Uncharted. My most beloved franchise. I really wanted a sequel to Lost Legacy etc. But I just can't understand why they don't do anything with the IP. Also it is so sad to remember that Sony refused to do remake of 1st one since it would be "expensive" and they chose to remakestered the Part 1 instead since they didn't change anything about it.
Leave David Jaffe; I really can't believe the reception. Like what were you expecting it to look like? It's almost 1:1. What a exaggeration from some people.
Only criticism I can kind of understand is Atreus being too young but other than that it is really weird to see the reactions.
Sounds boring tbh. I love Deborah Ann Woll but didn't care Faye much. I would like to see Freya if we are going for a woman lead. Another detail that sounds more boring than this is another Norse adventure.
Also yeah, I doubt this will justify cutting Norse trilogy short with a dissapointing game.
@Alps_Stranger
I love my PS 1st parties as much as the next guy but God damn just keep "slow walk with exposition" to minimum. I was going insane with it in both Ragnarok's Angroboda and Spider-Man 2 with different scenes.
I am %100 sure that this is the rumoured Atreus game a few years ago. All of us thought that it's going to be something like Miles Morales or Lost Legacy but looks like they are going all in.
but none of that money would be going to Microsoft, so we’re not sure it’s a factor in its thinking.
Theoretically; a person would prefer a system where they can get Steam and PS games while still getting the Gamepass and Micky games. And even though they would buy PS games from Steam therefore no revenue for Micky; at the end of the day them spending money on Micky's platform like Gamepass, sales, new shiny exclusive etc not slim.
So I wouldn't say it's not a factor even though I would agree that it's not the main reasoning behind it. But yeah, PS should focus their prestige titles as exclusives going forward. Like the good old days.
I am not gonna pretend that I was excited or something but I wasn't expecting to read what feels like "boring". I will still try it but not long probably.
Well, in the end it will help a lot by lower resolutions that is upscaled for 4K even better and because of lower resolution rendering process fps will be much steadier and probably higher even especially for demanding games.
But the stupid ***** still can't solve the problem about if you "claim" a game from subscription; you can't "actually buy" it unless your subscription is finished.
Very good news to me. It shows that their focus is console again.
And yeah, I never thought about Steam Box but it will still be a console and even if Xbox is not what it used to, Steam Box will have PS games if they keep bringing them. Not a good thing for Sony obviously.
Lastly, exclusives matter and they push the gaming forward with their quality. So I am happy that it is coming back.
I just hope next Rocksteady game is similar to Arkham Knight. That game is 10 years old and still blows most of the current-gen games out of water both in terms of how beatiful it looks and gameplay.

Re: Kena PS5 Studio Goes Full Circle with Bridge of Spirits Switch 2 Port
@Oram77
I need both Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask remakes in the vein of Link's Awakening. Now that would make me buy a Switch 2 in an instant.
I loved Kena'a art design but it was a polished PS2 game in my eyes and needed more. Hope sequel is better.
Re: Poll: Vote for Your PS5 Game of the Month (February 2026)
Resident Evil Requiem and it's not even close. Even though I am not over the moon so far, it's what want in AAA blockbusters. Grace's survival horror section is so much fun though.
Re: Resident Evil Requiem Records Strong Japanese Sales, But Still Dwarfed by Resident Evil 5 and 6
I am just glad one of my favorite franchises keeps going strong. Now bring on:
-DLC
-CV remake
-0 remake
-RE AXis(10)
-RE1 remake
That will be the trajectory I believe from all the rumours.

Exactly what I was thinking.
Re: There's Some inFAMOUS: Second Son in Control Resonant, Says Remedy
@Yousef-
Try Pragmata demo. Phantom Blade 0 looks phenomenal too!
Re: There's Some inFAMOUS: Second Son in Control Resonant, Says Remedy
@stefan771
Pragmata, Bond, Onimusha, this, Phantom Blade, Wolverine and GTA are my remaining anticipated ones.
Re: Flop FPS Highguard's Stats Show Steam Concurrents Are Just One Piece of the Puzzle
It would be great to have these information publicly.
Re: There's Some inFAMOUS: Second Son in Control Resonant, Says Remedy
I want that inFamous Trilogy Remastered damn it! Other than that, I am optimistic that this will be the best Remedy game since Max Payne 2 easily.

Hope it works well. I am excited about this but afraid of bad optimization also.

Re: Believe It or Not, Atomic Heart Is Still Getting DLC
I bought the edition that contains all DLC in the past. I wonder the 4th one was included in that as a deal.

Everything the tell about the systems in Saros points to them changing those aspects for the better.

PushSquare review of Crimson Desert in two weeks. One of the paragraphs is about technical problems and how sometimes quality mode is below 30 fps.
Re: Saros Offers Up Another Crumb of Delicious PS5 Gameplay Footage
@Carnage
Much more enjoyable than main game.

Re: Saros Offers Up Another Crumb of Delicious PS5 Gameplay Footage
You know what? Yes, I am mildy excited for Saros.
Re: 'We're Not Hiding Anything': Crimson Desert Dev 'Sick' of Claims Around No PS5 Footage

On console? PC release will be big for sure but I doubt console release will be anywhere near if the optimization is *****.

Great news. Long live the exclusives! I hope this signals that they are more focused on new singleplayer games.
Re: Resident Evil Requiem Surpasses an Astonishing 5 Million Sales in Its First Week
@General-Foley
Yeah, California was definetely weird. I hate it when a media gives you the feeling it's ending but no, there is more. Kills the pacing in my eyes.

I really need Onimusha release date. Already in Requiem and after the demo Day 1 for Pragmata. Next is Onimusha...

I felt their collaboration was quite right and would like to see it continue. But still, glad the game is a success.

Can't think of a better dev for a game riddled with bugs than the dev who ***** up both Batman games' PC ports.

Let's talk about Bend, Media Molecule, Haven etc... Then we have some news.
Re: Rumour: Starfield PS5 Release Date Locked in for April as Xbox RPG Targets Lower Price Point

Re: Shuttered Dev Bluepoint Wanted to Remake Bloodborne, FromSoftware Blocked It
Uncharted remakes or spin-offs were no brainer. Such a shame. Also remastered trilogy for either Resistance or inFamous would be incredible too.
Re: Sony Confirms Big PS5 Pro Upgrade Is Out in March, Better PSSR Upscaler

Well, in the end it will help a lot by lower resolutions that is upscaled for 4K even better and because of lower resolution rendering process fps will be much steadier and probably higher even especially for demanding games.
Re: Here's Your First Look at the God of War TV Show
Looks good enough. I mean nothing can look as 1:1 as Bella Ramsey as Ellie but this will have to do./s
Re: Kena: Scars of Kosmora Is Now Available for Wishlist on PS Store and PC
Hope it's better than the first one which was the epitome of 7/10 outside the incredible graphics.
Re: Sony Confirms Big PS5 Pro Upgrade Is Out in March, Better PSSR Upscaler
This is awesome news for Crimson Desert, James Bond, Phantom Blade 0, Wolverine, GTA VI.
I especially can't think how Wolverine will look given Insomniac's pedigree in giving us RT with 60 fps etc. even before this.
