Even though I am not so happy with Sony's output this gen I still think they make good games overall.

All the connection with overarching story and a conspiracy of higher beings sounds really interesting and fun. I just hope they plan the stories ahead and don't try to cram 2 games story into one and ***** it up like Ragnarok. You could really tell it needed to be a trilogy.

I really hate how greedy Nintendo got since Switch's success. Hope they struggle at some point soon.

I would love to see good old days where all 3 have their exclusives. The very notion of creating something just for that platform with genuine care often leads to good even great products. And I said it before but if Xbox's recent years were at the start of generation they would be just fine without going multiplatform. Their 1st party games came out too late to have that kind of scenario unfortunately. I am curious to see what happens now, they are really unpredictable but yeah, hard to expect them to go to their old ways considering Micky's overall ways.

Until the main course I didn't want to commit anything big so I finally started Little Nightmares 2. Art design is top notch but I am not that impressed so far. Also I am still going for character side stories on Ghost of Tsushima but there is not much left of them. I don't plan to do anything after those and give the game a rest until playing Iki Island.

Already preordered RE9. Let's go!

One time I agree Sammy %100. And yeah, live-service inituative should never had involve the story focused studios; they should had buy and build new studios for those. I too understand the revenue part but they just ***** up how to try that. Hermen Hulst is worse than Jim Ryan and that is saying something.

It's good to hear these people when they just speak the truth and set expectations instead of hyping up everything.

So it's gonna be another Bethesda mediocrity I will pass. Starfield showed what people don't accept anymore and after first wave of hype ES6 will have the same response both from critics and gamers.

This is why I prefer paying once for a full game and be done with it.

Sarah Bond replacing Hermen Hulst doesn't sound bad.

I don't care about Ubishit games for years. Looks like it continue to be the norm. What a mediocre company.

Last 2 days have been crazy. It think this is the unoffical death of Xbox.

First Jim -12 live service games in 5 years- Ryan and now Hermen -Concord is the next SW- Hulst. We really need a new person who understands PS fanbase more and make better decisions even though they kind of continue to try live service side too.

I wouldn't call it "good" even but to each their own.

I have hopes for this to be better than AW2 and Control. Which is not hard at all. Hope it has a good and enjoyable story to follow unlike the wasted one with Control and vomit-inducing pretentious one with AW2.

I had higher expectations since the rumours first started. Such a shame we got an average game.

Not gonna lie, even though I love GoW and played every game I will be dissapointed if the Cory Barlog game is another GoW in a new way. No matter how different it feels.

Looks awesome really. But CEs that don't include even a game code really ridiculous.

100k people tried this. They decided that it is not worth their time. End of story. If it was actually good, there would be 1/5 of that still playing probably.

Yeah, how it looks is the most dissapointing part. Seeing new Castlevenia in its gorgeous form didn't help too.

Yeah, I can definetely say it's dissapointing for the IP. I was so excited for a GoW metroidvania and I will still buy it on sale but 70 is not something I am happy. There are too many good games to care about average games and I don't have time for anything in the 7s usually. I would be really happy if this was a banger like recent PoP or FIST or another good example of the genre.

I don't want a new camera angle at all! I want them to keep them as close to original as possible with only technical improvement. Add new enemies, story beats or weapons etc maybe. Also make all of them up to today's standards. That's all I want.

The main difference is the release time day and date. If PS6 is around the release of new games it will be much harder to justify not buying a new console when there is superior version.

But if PS6 is delayed and games come out for PS5 then I don't give a ***** about PS6 versions because the time I play that game on PS5; it will be the best version. For example: Does anyone have any doubts about Intergalactic: Even Better edition for PS6? No, but it doesn't matter because it won't exist for a few years and I can enjoy it in its best form possible for the 2027 release. I bought PS5 Pro when I had the chance for example to play new exclusives better etc. and I think Pro version of the console play a significant role in peoples' perspective about "We don't need new one for a few years".

Do you get what I mean? You never have to buy new console for cross-gen stuff but it is much harder to justify playing it on inferior console when the superior version exist at the same time and with the delay that situation will be delayed for 1 more year. I bought PS5 for Miles Morales even though I could play it on PS4.

More importantly, here’s the part I really struggle to understand: if you don’t want a PS6 at launch, then you’re not obligated to buy one.

Yeah, who wouldn't want to play the inferior version of a game when there is a better version of it around./s "You can wait for the cross-gen period." is not acceptable for a lot of people including me. Therefore there not being a new console for at least 1 more year the best option since it would help us to feel more satisfied with the price we paid for our current gen console and clear head space since we know this is the best it can be.(All talk is for console ecosystem.)

All that said, I would like 2028 holiday season. 2029 feels too far. 2027 would be the norm and with 2028 it would be just one more year which can be tolerable since the gen had a long cross-period before we saw PS5 only games.

We are in a good spot in terms of production values. Especially on Pro.

2029 feels too much but considering 2027 would be the norm(7 year console cycle) 2028 wouldn't be outrageous. I'm glad I had a chance to get a Pro.

Also I am totally fine with current levels of production. I can totally be okay with upcoming games on the same level for a couple of years.

If you don't think this is false advertising I don't know what to tell you. And yeah, there are times you go out of your way to defend PS sometimes and this is one of them. Also there should be even further explanation besides "2 player co-op opens after finishing the game once solo" and that is "Btw, co-op is just for challange mode, don't think you can play the campaign together".

Not because of this but I was thinking to wait a sale for a couple of bucks lesser price but I will wait more I guess. I just can't digest how cheap it looks comparing to similar games in the genre.

One last week...

Spider-Man 2 was a big dissapointment for me. Have fun though. Still a good game overall.

He is right about both the price and production values and the games he compares.

Also Atreus&Angroboda part was truly awful. Massacred the pace of the game and really stained my enjoyment of the game. Ragnarok is really dissapointing when it comes to the story and pacing. It should had been a trilogy.

I'm playing the remastered of first Onimusha to get a feel of the IP before new one comes. I also do some of the leftovers on the map from Ghost of Tsushima. Guess I won't get involved with something else until RE9 since I have Clair Obscur and Silksong to get back too.

Yeah, while I was really excited about rumours reveal trailer killer my excitement and seeing much better looking Castlevenia game definetely didn't help. I will pick it up on a sale still.

It was a good SoT for sure. A lot to play. Time and money is needed. 🫠

Yeah, I too wanted that "Wow" for something. None of the trailers did that for me unfortunately. One last thing giving that feeling would be great.

Looks a bit cheap but hope they got the gameplay right. I love the movie series.
